you can find hooks for holding the strollers, bikes, scooters etc on the wall so that it doesn’t take up too much space. S hooks are great for hanging up things like the car fluids. I use a curtain rod on my deck with the S hooks to store things like garden tools, planters not being used efc. they also work great for brooms and dusters. you can hang on the side of the metal shelve you purchased. just make sure to level out the weight to prevent it from tipping over. peel and stick works great for shelf protectors. If your not planning to park the vehicle in the garage it can be turned into a nice playroom for the kids and can use a couch for a hangout area. my parents used to have our rec room in the garage. then we turned it into a daycare room and then into a space for my grandparents to live when they reached old age before going into a nursing home. You mentioned that a sun could be reflecting off something - be aware that a fire could start that way. Are you able to shade your window or find out what that reflection object be? Is there a smoke alarm in your attic to be on safe side? Even a mirror lying flat on a bathroom vanity can reflect sunlight, sorching a wall or ceiling or a sun shining on a bottled water can start sorching a car seat 🙁
