Thanks for posting this... some useful tips. This coming summer (early July), I will be riding the Stelvio for the first time. I passed my bike test 8 years ago now, and have ridden many thousands of miles in many different countries over many mountain passes. I finally feel confident and skilled enough to give the Stilfserjoch a go. I'm staying in a hotel in the village of Stelvio... at the foot of the North Eastern side of the pass. The alarm will be set early! Looking forward to part 2 of this vlog... 👍
Wow BMR ! Another great adventure and video ! My first ever Euro driving experience in Aug. of 2022 was incredible. we went over a few stunning mountain passes on our way to the Red Bull Ring for MotoGP, but they were nothing compared to the Stelvio. The entire time I was thinking, I need to come back and ride this (with my Z900RS Cafe?). Great tip on the hotel location and timing of the drive. Looking forward to pt2.
Thanks, Laz. The Red Bull Ring - now there's a venue I'd like to get to - I imagine a route could wind through many passes on the way if you worked at it! Cheers.
@@BlueMarbleRider You are probably correct but that would like going on an African hunting safari but not using the rifle you built but have to borrow one from the guide. It would not be the same experience.

Great POV video! If there ever was a road made for a cafe racer... I wonder how much it costs to ship a bike to Italy?
Best to rent one...Lots of Moto Guzzi's...:-)

I was proud of completing it on my motorbike. Then, later in the day, I met an English guy who had dragged a caravan up it..😮
Wow - not sure that's legal anymore...but kudos to him! Must have been a few squeaky bum moments! :-)
