  • My longest podcast yet!!! Hopefully I won't make a habit out of it...
    This month I have been working on all the challenges, frantically sewing when I'm able to get the machine out and furiously crocheting a new friend for the #Hippalong. To turn the month on it's head, there's quite a few finished objects this month and not so many WIPs which makes a change. This isn't to say there aren't more WIPs to keep me busy as there totally are but they will be worked on in July...

    Can I have 2 favourite projects? I was thrilled with the crossstitch kit made into the bag - I have quite a few of the smaller cross stitch kits made up & ‘filed away’ for wall space or something else - love the idea of putting them on bags!!! But then I saw Your new friend lMr Hippo” & fell in love!! I also have Smaug to make - one day! My preferred hobby atm is crochet & knitting but I always used to be doing cross stitching and scrapbooking.

      I've dabbled in scrapbooking many years ago but it's just not for me... Mr Hippo has proven to be rather popular... I'm hoping to make up another of the bags with the cross stitch panel as I'm not happy with the finish on this one for the zip so hopefully that shouldn't take me too long to get up on the channel, in the mean time I have some others heading up shortly too. Thanks for watching x

    Hi Maddie, I loved this episode you are such a prolific multi crafter. How can you not love Mr Hippo, he is gorgeous. I am a knitter and occasional sewer. I primarily knit garments but I'm branching out to other knitty things x

      Hi Jo, Thanks for visiting, my knitting is not brilliant I must say, and I've only made a few pieces of knitting. I love almost all crafts, there are only a few exceptions... 😀

    My favourite is definitely the hippo, he is totally gorgeous. I love watching all your makes, it’s nice to see different peoples ways. I’ve never done a crossstitch, I like the way you explain everything - very down to earth 👍😊
    I like knitting, but I am learning crochet and have joined sewing club for beginners with Claire at beautiful things. I just need to organise everything now lols 🙂

    Congratulations on your 100 subscribers, you have a lovely chatty style and I love the variety of crafts you do. I love lots of your things but I'm drawn to the crochet, I love the jumper you showed in March and the hats last October. And today my favourite is the project bag you made with the mouse in a tea cup cross stitch and the clever work with the stripes of the fabric - absolutely gorgeous. I'm mainly a dressmaker and sewist (very much still learning though) but I also crochet and knit when the mood takes me. Basically I love textile craft! Sarah x

    I love your own design crochet heart project bags. During lockdown I’ve thrown myself into sewing 🧵 and crochet 🧶. I’ve only recently discovered you via the online Beautiful Things Sewing club, so I’m really looking forward to watching your previous vlogs. Angela

      Thank you Angela, The crochet heart print was originally designed so my friend and I could wear matching t-shirts at the Waltham Abbey Wool Show in January but it felt a shame to wipe the screen so my husband has held onto it for me. Thank you for visiting the channel and I hope you like revisiting past videos too :)

    • @TheHouseOfLangford
      @TheHouseOfLangford  3 года назад +1

      Hi there, I don't create tutorials for products/patterns that aren't my own. The pattern and instructions for the hippo are by Heidi Bears and are extremely clear. I would be happy to create a tutorial for the African flower motif but not a paid for pattern I'm afraid. I do have other tutorials but not on crochet at the moment.
