@HamishSoutar-h2dshow some respect
This makes me remember when Ronaldo lost his child and the Liverpool fans sang his name and held up a united shirt, In the kop of all places. We are fans of our team, but firstly and foremost we are fans of football. I hope all opposition fans remember this when reacting to this devasting news. You Truly will Never Walk Alone Diogo, #20 RIP ❤
The beautiful game overall brings us together

well said my friend
A true football fan to another here YNWA and thanks for your true support
United should do this at old trafford at the 20th minute
Gone far too soon. Rest easy, Diogo. Thoughts with his family, teammates, and every fan mourning tonight. 💔 #YNWA
Love seeing the United fans being so respectful, rivals not enemies, Rest in piece Diogo
It's exactly what Liverpool fans did for Ronaldo's son, it went beyond football rivalry, it was literal life
Football stays on the pitch.
Football is important but not as important as human life no matter what team we should support whoever needs it
United fan but when it comes to things like this it put things into perspective and shows what's important. I must say it shook hearing this, what a tragedy.😢

One of my first thoughts was when Diogo raised a Diaz shirt when his Dad was kidnapped..R.I.P YNWA
Oh yes! 🙌🏼 he was truly a genuine human!❤
That was class, and it describes Diogo.
Imagine Diaz scores in the community shield final and takes his shirt off , and his tank top says “RIP DIOGO”….
i think it is connected
My first thought too 😭
Very, very classy from Mark this. I watched this the day after Diogo lost his life, and it was the first thing I'd seen outside my little world about it, and it will stay with me. Thank you for being a good human being.
Rivals, not enemies. Rest in Power Diogo 🕊️

I mean this death was really unexpected and sad. Cars have been really dangerous I mean we almost lost like 4 premier league footballers from car crashes. It’s really sad.

A day like today really puts into everything into perspective, and seeing the outpouring of love from across (and beyond!) the sport is amazing, and particularly from rival fans. Sometimes it’s too easy to get caught up in the tribalism and think of your rival fans as the “enemy” when in reality they are just the same as you. There should be no enemies when it comes to football, only rivalries, and at the end of the day after the match is over there should be nothing but love and respect for your fellow man.

Brilliant work in this video, Mark. You didn't have to do this but you're a football fan as much as a Manchester United fan. In terms of the personal dimension of the tragedy and Diogo Jota's legacy as a footballer you summed it up perfectly. He wasn't appreciated as much as Salah or De Bruyne but his contribution to Liverpool is underestimated in the wider context. And you're right that injuries stopped him from being a regular player. I saw him as being like a Portuguese version of Ian Rush or John Aldridge. He had that positional sense only the great goal poachers have and the only positive from this tragedy is that as a footballer in his last games for Liverpool and Portugal he won medals and trophies and in his personal life he married his girlfriend. The moments of joy in life can be all too brief and they are precious.
Again, well done on this video.
From a devastated Liverpool supporter, thank you. We will miss him, but we will always remember him because we loved him so much.
