It surprises me how often in videos 5-6 star players just don't burn, trap, or watch solo bodies. In 4 star I can only get the revive if I'm on a roof or in a window
It can vary a lot in my experience. It seems to come down to position and situation. If you die in a compound with no boss or other teams then of course they’re gonna find a lantern to burn, they have nothing stopping them. 5-6 star players position well to avoid this, often without thinking (watching my friend do it is crazy to me). If you’re relying on self rez then what helps me (my friends advice, credit to you Kara) is often avoiding engaging if there is no distractions for my opponents. Dying in a lair with a boss if you have a shotgun can allow for some easy self rez, cuz they have to deal with the boss. Dying when there’s two teams can cause confusion too, say you’re in trios, there’s 7 people and you’re the solo. If someone takes you out they can expect you to be a teammate, often still burning or trapping if possible. But may not wait on the body. It may be the 3 star player with a shotgun being afraid of the scary self rez but if not, some patience when it comes to engaging may help you have those distractions in the future. TLDR:play as if you don’t have self rez
LONGER TLDR:have your opponent also have to deal with the range between you, or distractions. Finding a way to give yourself those 10 seconds to get off the rez is something to look out for, no matter how frustrating it is to have to do so. It’s best to look for those 10 seconds of safety before you even take the first shot.

It's got a slower bolt animation and slower reload but it def feels meaty. And having 10 in the chamber is nice if you don't wanna reload often.
lenz version tho can be interesting, its easy to shoot 150+m away targets

Around the 10 minute mark when you say "what was he shooting at?" slightly before you killed that guy you can see him shooting leaches and the meathead was aggroing prior pretty sure he was shooting the meathead, why you may ask? I could not answer that one.
Yea at the moment i didnt even notice he was that close i was looking at the forrest behind so i was confused what was even happening
I'm just guessing here, but maybe he had no med-kits anymore and used the leeches of the meathead to heal himself with ghoul. I used this mechanic sometimes, but maybe all the leeches were gone and he wasn't spawning any new ones, so he was trying to kill him, to refill his last bar?

Another option if this was during the current quest line.
There is a quest to kill 15 AI in Alice/Weeping/Fort Carmick. The leeches from the fatties count for that and spawn infinitely.
Might have been trying to sneakily do that if all the other AI was gone.
genuine question, when you did the chaos-bomb-on-wall, choke-on-corpse, diffuse-chaos-bomb, what was the chaos bomb for? was it just to mask the sound? if so, why did you feel the sound needed tocbe masked at that moment?
I’m assuming it was just a heat of the moment decision so that he could loot the body outside for another item as quickly as possible

Getting to 6 star is difficult. But actually staying at 6 star consistenly is nearly impossible, except you play this game 24/7. I often hit 6 star but after a few days or a week I drop to 5 star again only to come back to 6 star after some days again.
It's easy if you 1 vs 3 because the match MMR modifier puts you against a bunch of 4 and 5 stars. However, if you play trios with randoms, yeah it's near impossible because the team of sweatlords is almost always going to obliterate you and your 4/5 star randoms who hide in bushes.
If that's what you want go for it but love that low 5 high 4 life. Silly loadouts and fun fights
@@vescovinator Just don’t ever think of improving because once you hit mid 5 you get mixed in with all the low 6s and try hard high 5s and the game stops being fun almost instantaneously it’s actually like magic.
@Corzappy trust me I know, sadly I do well enough with my silly shenanigans I've placed myself in 6 for a bit. While it was fun dropping mosin cains with Winfields they just played like babies

@@hornetlul I have Logitech G502 Hero myself. Are you jumping between preset sensitivity settings? That's something to get used to for sure. Can't be on 400 dpi all the time?
@@BLODSWIPER no why would u ever do that, its irrelevant what dpi you use the in game sensitivity is important i have around 500 eDpi if you calculate it which is quite fast for hunt
@@hornetlul Ah so your eDPI is just different depending on if you aim down sight or not etc, makes sense. So you have a eDPI of 500 when you aim then?
And maybe 1200 when not aiming?

you can't really stay at 6 stars with any build only if you extract every single game when match stars kekw. because almost every lobby is filled vs bush player nitro or avtomat, mosin spitzer. w/e.

Once you’re in 6 star the best possible thing you can do is take your spitzer mosin and dolch, unequip them, queue up, and try your absolute hardest to derank as fast as possible because 6 star is a fucking shit hole.
I honestly never want to hit 6 star. I sit comfortably at 4 star and it's actually fun

What loadout would you suggest if you have terrible aim 😂
When I used to play Hunt Showdown before getting a good gaming PC, I couldn't aim due to the low resolution/graphics and low FPS. So I got very good at pushing compounds and positioning. I managed to work myself up to a 2.02kdr playing with shotguns. They're a lot less aim dependent and more dependent on tactics and how you approach a situation.
dont face the enemy, change position constantly, dont make too much nooise, use spammable pistol(caldwell army with fmj is the best atm) , use fast reload and stable rifles (basic winfield, krag). dont try to get headshoot, aim to chest all the time
Winfield is the the absolute best beginner gun to use in the game because it's one of the fastest shooting rifles and also accurate. Pair it with Levering and it's a complete beast, both in close range and medium range combat. Slap on some FMJ or poison ammo when you unlock it and make it even better.
Spitzer takes the game mechanics from an actual bullet to just hitscan.

Keep in mind i queue as a 6 star but there is usually not enough to make a full lobby so its a mix of 5 and 6 usually

@@hornetlulAs a 5* player that’s always nice. Getting matched with sweaty coked up 6* on adderall and amphetamines using mosing spitzer uppercut and just wallbang headshotting me and then air bursting my teammate with a frag bomb from pelican prison to derrin shipyard.

The sad part about hunt showdown is it's becoming more of a call of duty. There are more perks to give more advantages to people who don't. The game is supposed to be a western. Not a silent jumping, self reviving, render exploiting mess. Sadly, the people who are stuck in 5 stars and on the verge of 6, constantly deal with this kind of gameplay. It isn't fun or appropriate for a audio based game to have a virtually silent mode of transportation around the compound. It's sad and sadly wont be fixed. Unfortunately unless you have two buddies to run with this garbage unlocked, it's very difficult to prestige at this MMR.
