Thank you for the tutorial, very helpful. However, how do we configure the 'very very trivial' part of getting FCM tokens to Supabase profile table when using Supabase authentication? Without it we have no way of using FB push notification for Supabase-authenticated apps. Or am I missing something?
That s THE question. looks like in this demo there is a double authentication in Firebase And supabase to get the FCM for firebase no?

I combined it with this method and it works perfectly!
Indeed, it is very very trivial.
I think James is using FB Authentication. Then just using Supabase to push the notifications based on FB authentication and FCM tokens created. He manually inputs the recent/active FCM token in supabase to push the notification. I personally use Supabase Auth... so I'm trying to figure this out too tbh....

@@MrFACTS-mk1ib I personally did not. I ended up contracting push notifications for my app - required edge functions to populate FCM tokens from firebase i believe

We need more info about the part where we use FCM token with supabase, do we need to use Firebase auth too ?
Is it not possible to have push notifications just with Supabase and without Firebase at all for an iOS native app?
Depends what you mean with "native app", if you mean really native, like written in Swift and all that then I am afraid Supabase can't help you with that, but if you are using react native or something like that then yes, you could use Expo together with Supabase and Expo will handle everything "under the hood"

Hi, how are you querying the fcm tokens from Firestore in FF, considering they are in a subcollection?
Great video but I can't find on internet a way to trigger a push notification from a backend server.
I have my FlutterFlow application and I'd like to move the trigger push notification logic in backend.
I have already all the collections as you explained.
How can I send a push notification to users from the backend.
What is the logic ? Call a Google Cloud Function ? Which one ?

Well iOS/android push notifications are nice but web push notifications are better can we have tutorial for that?
Why u dont use FCM ( firebase cloud messaging ) rather than Supabase ?
By using Supabase, he is using FCM as well, it just make Supabase interact with Firebase Cloud Messaging
