RIP Dave Mackay a true Spurs legend
Old Derby County coach right?
Football was a cleaner game then. No over-celebrated goal celebration, game ended with everyone hugging each other. Such lovely game
When the fa cup final meant something
This is so aesthetic for no reason
R.I.P Mr. Tommy Lawrence
what a great goal keeper❤️
He died?

What I find amazing about this video is seeing the seniors.
Am here to watch tommy Lawrence now 8 years later me watching this😢
The quality of this video is amazing. Footage from Spurs 1982 and 1983 FA Cup is not even this good. Thank you for uploading it.
35mm film, to be shown in cinemas as opposed to 1980’s vintage video cameras. 35mm film is still used to this day for some Hollywood movies.
I was there. 14 years old, in the Spurs end with my Chelsea scarf. My uncle had gotten me the brief. Him being a Tottenham fan and all. He knew that I was a Chelsea fan, “the @*#!” The final score apart and all the piss taking (good humoured it has to be said) the main thing I get from this terrific footage is how much respect both teams had for each other.
Man those footballs were like rocks at the time not like soft ass now a days and those legends took it like a man
I always preferred it when the players only had numbers on their back - no names
RIP Dave Mackay- from a lifelong gooner
RIP Tommy Lawrence.
are you still gooning today?
Charlie Cooke was brilliant that day. He deserved better but his teammates didn't play
Everyone in the crowded is dressed like they’re going to work.
Welcome to the industrial age
have you ever seen the English crowd in ashes cricket series?
Yes and most of crowds nowadays look like ..chavs 😂
Yes I remember they days when believe it or not the majority of the population got off their arses and went to work
A rare mistake by Pat Jennings for the goal, I do love the faces in the crowd on these old clips.
Tommy Lawrence 1940_2018 rip 😢

Have a nice day. Thanks for the posting superb video. Enjoyed and ckicked the liie button. Bravo. Greetings from Baku city💛💛💖💚💚💚💙💙💙❤❤❤
Being a Chelsea supporter I was happy to see them beat Spurs in the 2015 league cup final.Considering Spurs beat Chelsea in two cup finals previously.I thought I might never see the day lol.
1967!what a mind blowing time!
Is this a sick version of the Mandella effect? We all here for Tommy Lawrence, goalkeeper of Liverpool, but the match is between Chelsea and Tottenham?? Ahahahahah
One of those saves by Pat Jennings was misrepresented as one by Lawrence as well

Innit
RIP all
When teams were made up of regular home-grown talent. Now they are just a collection of people from all over.
Rip Tommy Lawrence
This is a good camera
When u notice that most of them are all dead the fans etc😢
Went to the match with a nice suit and tie.
If anybody is here for Tommy Lawrence, wrong video, footage of him is availavle on the 1965 Cup Final between Leeds and Liverpool, this is the 1967 one.
He said he played the final in 1967 in the interview?
@@iiyyxxnn no, he referenced the 1967 derby match between Everton and Liverpool on the 5th round of the FA Cup, not the final, if you want to see him play on that particular match, there's a Newsreel of it on British Pathé.

The very first cup final I remember watching on the telly. Going by the spectators, looking after your teeth wasn't a high priority back then.
wow it's colourful
No one’s going to talk about that parking lot? What a nightmare.
Didnt need traffic mgt in them days, mutual respect got things done.

Still trying to understand how people used to park, how can you even fill a parking lot like that let alone empty it ? That would take hours...
Wow! Spurs got a champion!!
Hi i am from the future
I hope more time travellers comes
I watch this video in 2022
My 1st Final as a 9 year old watching on the telly, wanting Chelsea to win. Really enjoyed the build-up and the match up until Spurs scored. It was the 1st time I'd watched a domestic match, though I watched all of the 1966 World Cup games.
2:02 is that Olive from 'Off the Buses' ?
where is tommy lawrence??
He is the keeper
@@dwaynethemineraljohnson412 thanks
@@dwaynethemineraljohnson412no he is not , that is Spurs v Chelsea , Tommy played for Liverpool

They touched up to footage. It's original footage but edited to make it better
Surprised to see Tottenham lift a trophy
Obviously you don’t know much about football
shut up johnny foreigner
chelsea team now vs tottenham team now
i guess we will see in 4 hours
What have we allowed them to do to England
the goalies now are NOTHING compared to the goalies back then
Well, at least put some respect to these men, brother. Without them we won't enjoying the beautiful game we called football!
Pat Jennings was a Legend!!!
POV - Joe kinnear is your uncle 😅
Did this actually happen? Or is it just a movie.
Did the 1967 FA cup actually happen? Of course it happened, and no this is not some dramatization of it. That’s all real footage of the game.
Bell end
This must be a 1970's recreation of what happened in 1967
Spurs winning a trophy !!!!!! no way it must be fake
This was when it was great sadly now full of overpaid fairy’s who can’t be tackled 😭

I'm curious as if in the older generation soccer if they didn't have rules and regulations like they do now, like headbutting other players or tripping, or idk
Spurs most recent trophy
I like it when people show themselves to be so stupid go do some homework

And i thought spurs trophy cabinet was empty
We're the 5/6th most successful team in England
2 First division Titles
8 FA Cups
4 League Cups
2 UEFA Cups and a European cup winners cup
It isn’t but your head is
@@scottwallace5239 I think you'll find Spurs are equal 15th for clubs with the most English league titles, along with Preston, Derby, Portsmouth and Burnley. Big 6 lol.
Looking at the crowd I remembered that probaly more then half the stadium are now probaly dead so we are seeing some dead people walking 😦 this was 55 years ago
If soccer still was like this i would watch it. Now its just flop flop flop flop
How much did they get paid per week? About £20 maximum. Compare that to the so called superstars today...

The video is remarkably clear!
It’s film footage not video. British Pathé.
That's how to celebrate a goal - a quick handshake - and how to take defeat - congratulate your opponents without sitting down crying.
Yeah, emotions are bad.
Respect
Thing is these days if you don't sit down crying the fans start throwing a hissy fit that you don't care because you aren't emotional enough.
They are mens and sir's.
Not memes, cheaters and divers
Probably not how to defend
Man this quality is Insane
Ik right
Thank god for the well preserved film

but he were said that he were the goalkeeper for liverpool, but the exhibition is between chelsea and tottenham
Yeah I am totally confused ahahahahahaha
Tommy Lawrence was Goalkeeper for Liverpool, the match they were talking about in the Interview was Everton vs Liverpool, 5th round of the FA Cup 1967.
This Video is about the final Tottenham vs Chelsea, Liverpool got eliminated from the tournament earlier....
Before the Russian Santa Claus turned up
