Why do they have vacuum tube bases? Octal base tubes would fit in those. Hmmm.

Careful with the verbiage. The contacts don't change state from NO to NC. NO contacts close, and NC contacts open, but they don't go from NO to NC. That can be very confusing for someone just starting to learn about switching and relays and stuff I know it was for me.
