Love, on the other hand, is unconditional which means that even if that person won't reciprocate what you need, you still care and love for them.
My parents always taught me that studies come first, and romance for second. So she did not do anything wrong in the first rejection, mainly because he did not even give her enough time to explain before he runs away.

Minuro saw this, and fought and defeated the 3 guys who were hitting on Sumeri. Sumeri cried and hug Minuro. The next day, Sumeri confessed her feelings to Minuro, despite the fear of being rejected. But Minuro rejected her feelings. Minuro explained why he rejected Sumeri's confession. Minuro tells his past about having a girlfriend and how his best friend stole her from him. Even worse, the 2 made a bad guy of him, who cheated on his girlfriend. The situation at his school became worse, so Minuro had to transfer schools. Ever since then, Minuro became scared of falling in love. But Sumeri wouldn't give up. Sumeri suggested that Minuro be in a relationship with her, as a trial basis. Minuro reluctantly agreed. After a few months, Sumeri and Minuro became close. But one day, Sumeri saw Minuro talking to a girl. Sumeri heard the girl's name as Noriko, and she was Minuro's ex. Noriko wanted to get back with Minuro, since her boyfriend Junpei(ex-bestfriend of Minuro) was cheating on her. Minuro coldly rejected Noriko. Noriko clinched to Minuro's arm, but Minuro gave Noriko a cold stare. Minuro reminded Noriko of why he transferred to a different school, away from her and his ex-bestfriend and his horrible past. Sumeri has had enough and introduced herself to Noriko, as Minuro's girlfriend. Minuro confirmed this. Noriko suggested to Minuro to break up with Sumire, and told Minuro about the problems she's facing, because of Junpei. Minuro responded by saying, _"I missed the part, where that's my problem"?_ Both Minuro and Sumeri left a crying and down to her knees Noriko. The next day, Minuro officially confirmed to the whole school that Sumeri and him are a couple. Minuro thanked Sumeri for overcoming his dark past. Sumeri no longer avoided Noa and Keiichi or any members of the student council. Sumeri's and Minuro's days, are now fulfilled happy days
