When I started playing guitar for real, I felt to natural to not have a pick, but I held my thumb and finger the same way. I still to it. My guitar playing friends make fun of me... because I still kind of suck. I'll point this dude and tell them to piss off.

DUDE I play without a pick also!!! just noticed u don't too!! my dad trips every time I play around him and he shreds with a pick. I always get asked how I do it too. tell you guys one thing u gotta have hard ass nails and the balls to put the pick down EARLY in your guitar playing career. love your tutorials btw. only needed the fast hammer on part a lil before the end but still. my vote for solo tutorial has to be... That's a PRS (Paul Reed Smith) SE double cut-away. I saw a PRS Tremonti SE on Craigslist for $200 for a couple of months but I had been saving up for a Les Paul, I finally bought the LP, I kept seeing the ad on CL and on the very week I had $200 saved up, it was sold :'( I been kicking myself in the ass ever since, I love my Les Paul but they're readily available on CL, PRS on the other hand, aren't and especially at such a great price, the guy was willing to sell it to me for $180.
Mario Gutierrez I have the same guitar that Chris has without the Trem and the bird inlays. And actually like it (tonewise and overall) better than my Ibanez Rg 655. If it wasn't for my fiance, she likes the Ibanez I'd probably end up with a high end PRS After some trading at Guitarcenter! Keep rockin' Chris.!
