Cool, I want to find that hardware store that you shop in! What a great selection. You can always figure stuff out in a well stocked hardware store. Adapt, Improvise, & Overcome!
Banjo fittings come in a wide assortment of hose barbs on a 2 inch pipe thread, or many other sizes of pipe thread. No need to shove together all of those different sizes of vinyl hoses, when you can use just that smallest size.
The 2” npt barb is a clever spout, I never would have thought of that. I just collect donkey ***k’s when I can. But this is a good backup idea. I thought of using a 2” npt nipple before, but never a barb. Good stuff, thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for your stupid spout video...🤣I have a 1967 Chevelle with a gas tank spout behind the license plate so i had to jury rig a spout...I used a plastic sink fitting and a flex fitting plus an 8" pipe to a funnel and taped it up with gorilla tape..didn't leak...another dumb looking spout ,but my old girl has gas once again...great video..Where there is a will there is a way......PS please keep doing these vids because there a lot of nubies coming up...
I like your determination and ingenuity! I have one one the cans that actually has the original spout! Amazing! Now my problem is figuring out how to deal the lid tight or make a new lid to store some gas? Have any ideas? Let me know? Iced in at moment anyway! Thanks !
Nonmetallic electrical tubing is pvc. It's just grey so it resists UV light and doesn't turn to dust like the white pvc does. We use the same glue as plumbers, crap you can glue white to grey.
Where do you get the gaskets? Do you cut your own? Or do you have a source for purchase? Please comment back. I’m sure I’m not the only one that wants to know.
I have tried making gaskets from a lot of material, but the best has been from ebay www.ebay.com/itm/5-New-Jerrycan-CAP-GASKETS-Metal-Gerry-G-Can-5-Gallon-20L-Rubber-Fuel-Gas-USMC/361226642026?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Hometown Hardware, Hatch, New Mexico, but I'm pretty sure any hardware store in a farming community would work.
t use get a Banjo fitting with the 2 inch threads and a 1/2 inch hose fitting. They have them at Home Depot
