The sad thing is that this drama will always be treated as "Just a BL" when the whole production, every scene, every character, the relationships and the romance, ALL of it is miles ahead than some of the most popular hetero-dramas. The growing chemistry between the main couple was felt from start to finish, the moments of tension, and the way it ended on that last second, it was excellent from beginning to end.
This is Kdrama quality and it deserves to be treated as such. With two male leads as the main relationship.

Actually I’m a bit more positive this time. I’ve been hearing about Semantic Error nonstop, and also about Jaechan & Seoham’s INCREDIBLE increase in popularity. Never heard of another k-BL so much. I think this is the drama that will bring the change, exactly thanks to all the things you listed here. It’s a drama production that can be respected and in fact it is being respected! I’m sure many people who are uncomfortable with the idea of BL will open up a little bit after hearing about it so much on social media, and hopefully after seeing Jaechan & Seoham in future productions and doing some research about them. It’s turning into a really iconic and table-turning drama and we will be proud to say “we were there when it happened”.
actually the drama has gotten A LOT of recognition and praise both in Korea and worldwide, which is pretty impressive and wonderful. It's getting more and more popular, even appearing in a korean newspaper! its quality and the effort of all the crew really paid off!!

One of the things I truly love about this drama is how jae-young did not force his ways upon sang-woo, but instead learned his methods of communication and actually got to know him before trying to - in lack of a better phrase - make a move. the way he respected sang-woo's request and asked for permission before kissing him is a beautiful sign of that. He gave him the choice to avoid it, even though he obviously wanted desperately to kiss him, and if that is not the healthiest relationship I've seen in dramas and actually most of the series and movies, I don't know what is.

The way Sangwoo stares at Jaeyoung before he kisses him makes the viewer feel the same kind of emotion. Its real. When you're in that situation, all you can fill your mind is really to kiss the other person. There is some magnetic force within that proximity.

No matter how many kiss scenes are in a BL drama, the difference with this series is the chemistry between the actors and how they portray their characters. I watched the series twice and I don't know but I was smiling the whole series when I see them together. There's just this thing that they both have that cannot be compared to a BL drama that has a lot of kiss scenes or bed scenes.

I saw this drama yesterday. I swear the best BL drama I've ever seen. Amazing chemistry. The best part for me is the way Jae Young looks at Sang Woo after the passionate kiss. I'm f*cking melting.
Not only the kiss, this drama was just so good on a whole. I watched a lot of BLs and unfortunately too many of them are just fanservice and lack a sensible and good story, deep characters, believeable relationships that develop naturally and, unfortunately, consent. In this one however, it was completely different. You have a good story, good characters, good and natural feeling conversations, CONSENT, and a relationship that is believeable and doesn't feel forced. Really the only thing I could complain about is that it was too short haha. It's a really well done drama and I hope future BL-Dramas, especially Korean ones, will use this as an example of how it should be done, really.

The ending of this series caused me to have a small malfunction bc I really didn't expect Sangwoo to make a move like that. Amazing series and really recommend to anyone to watch it

The first time I watched this scene, I was unaware that I was holding my breath. Now, despite having watched this countless times, I *_still_* hold my breath unintentionally. I really think it goes to show how great of a job Seoham and Jaechan did setting such an intense, intimate mood. Almost like we are prying in on something we shouldn't be seeing - much like the final scene of the whole show. They 100% did the novel and webtoon justice.
