After watching this video and thinking about my description of MT Pop's style I thought of a better way to look at it. Formulaic for sure and he does have a sequence to his build up but I figure the way I described it in the live stream made it seem like I was shitting on the man. A lot of people start off their dance with maybe a bounce, or footwork, or chest pumps, right? So now my thought is that MT goes through a similar process just with his tutting. Look at the majority of his dancing online and you'll find that it begins with tutting. Not trying to detract from his shit because more often than not it hits. Just a better observation. Like you said he does eventually find his pockets and cook in ways other people would just look dumb but that's what makes him so good. As far as popping goes he definitely has a unique style that he's cultivated and it's become a bit of a journey to see where it goes during any given battle. Jin on the other hand makes me think of a modern Kite. Sick leg work. Pops for days. Feels more traditional when put up against MT and holds up well. My favorite battle between the two was Popping Forever Japan from last year. One round unfortunately. Congratulations on the growth this year Metal. 2025, 250000 subsribers.
