저도 시나몬 아주 맛있게 먹었어요 😋
Looks so good! Yummm! 😋
Transilvania once was a region of Hungary, moreover there used to live a lot of Germans.
This sweet spread across East and Central Europe.
So now we have the Hungarian version, the one of the video, different regional varieties, and the German Baumkuchen, that differs a lot.
@TheHuns According to Jobbik half Europe is Hungarian land 😂😂😂😂
@@samarcanda90 Eléggé primitív válasz
@@Tovalokodonc Nem értek magyarul.
@@samarcanda90 A pretty primitive answer. But i wonder. If you aren't Hungarian how do you know about Jobbik?

굴뚝빵 맛있더군요.
Your video is extremely amazing and makes me enjoy watching
wow thank you!! 😊😍
I'm not Hungarian, I'm just an historian.
The use of backing pastries on a spit probably originated in Ancient Greece.
This pastries were served during Dionysiac Feasts and Parties.
Dionysus was the God of Pleasure.
Probably the cylindric shape of the sweet reminded to the shape of you know what.
Coming back to more recent times.
The old Kingdom of Hungary was way wider than nowadays Republic of Hungary.
It included parts of nowadays Romania, Croatia, Slovakia, Serbia.
The dish we appreciate today originated from the Saxons that lived in Transilvania.
The use of cinnamon is only datable to the XX century.
Invented by Saxons, become national dish of Hungarians and spread by them all over Europe.
But even Turkey has its own variant.
At that time, sugar was a prerogative of the Ottoman Empire and Iran.
So, probably, the Turkish conserved that Ancient Greek baking way and inspired the Saxons of Transilvania.
Cinnamon is a plant that grows mainly in Sri Lanka.
Very difficult to obtain during the Middle Age.
That's the boring, exhaustive history with all its "maybe".
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for the lesson. Can't we Hungarian own something you can still have your gyros hmm where is the origin of that turkey?
@@girardnarcisz1789 I'm Italian. I'm above the parts. The only certain thing is that that sweet is now 100% Hungarian and delicious. I tasted it here. I've never been in Magyaroszág.
@@samarcanda90 thank you for your reply. I love Italy that's my favorite country. All is forgiven

This sweet is traditional from Hungary.
also common in czechia
Trdelník od from slovakia city Skalica
The origin of this sweet is Transylvania .
@@bestmovieclips7188 Transilvania has been part of Hungary for Centuries.

As a Czech Im asking myself if I am the only one who thought this is traditional here in Czech lol
It is from Hungary
It is from Transylvania and Hungary, the cake is called Kurtoskalacs (chimney cake) - I do not understand, how in Skalica, Slovak Republic were able to register it as national heritage….
She good making chimney cake 👍
I agree with you 👍😊
روعه
This origins in Hungary and its called Kürtőskalács
@Fayxe D but still technically this was invented in Hungary (before WWI.)
@Fayxe D ''The first written record dates back to 1679 and was found in the village of Úzdiszentpéter (now Sânpetru de Câmpie), while the first recipe appears in a manuscript cookbook dated in 1781''
It was invented before Great War.
@@Konipas01 wasn't hungary under ottoman or habsburg rule on those times?
@@goldpaulike5304 Habsburgs ruled in Hungary since 1526 when Ferdinand I. bacame king of Hungary, Croatia and Bohemia also emperor of thr Holy Roman Empire. Last emperor of the Austro-Hungarian empire left in 1918.
So I agree with you, I admit theese years were complicated and thing even got more complicated when osman army came to the Europe.
In the year of 1679 situation in Hungary was a mess (untill 1686) Ottomans conquered most of the hungarian kingdom , but imagine how big territory Hungary had in that time. They did not managed to conquer it all. Ottomans set eyalets ( something like provinces) like Egri, Temesvar,Bosnia,Budin , etc... , they were strictly under ottoman rule as new parts of the Ottoman empire. Principality of upper Hungary was something as a puppet state of Ottomans (nowadays Slovakia) As well as Principality of Transylvania(also puppet).
BUT in the 1683 Kara Mustafa Pasa lost a battle of Vienna ( due to the heroism of Poland warriors mostly ) - The Saint League (kin. of Poland, emp. of Austria, Venice came to the battlefield in the name of the pope Innocent XI. against Ottomans and won, from this point ottomans lost many minor battles and their influence in Hungary ( Transylvania included) was lower and lower
in 1697 there was a battle of Zenta where Ottomans finally lost and also lost all the land that was Hungarian
So in 1679 transylvania was an ottoman puppet , but in 1781 this piece of land talked hungarian and german ( Maria Theresia and her son wanted to establish german as a official language of the monarchy but the attempt failed ) in 1781 Transylvania was a crown land of Habsburg Austria as well as Hungary , Czechia etc. till 1867 when Transylvania vanished and became part of Kingdom of Hungary till the end ( 1918). - So it was not in Romania as someone wrote. They had their own kingdom.

A Kurtos-t először az erdélyi szívében élő székelyek és szászok készítették.
Tehát Erdélyben őshonos, nem magyar, nem román!
What do you brush on before you roll it into nuts ?
