Eubank was one of the toughest boxers Iv ever seen. He had a chin made of granite and had real power in those punches. I was also impressed with his head movement and reflexes. One of the best boxers Great Britain ever produced.
Towards the end of Eubanks career he struggled with making super middleweight - 12st7 (I think). I always felt he should of stepped up to light heavy and I think he would of dominated again. Cruiserweight was maybe too big but my god he was an absolute warrior!!
Chris Eubank was 💯 a warrior, strong as a bull, Chris clearly lost the instinct to finish opponents after the tragic 2nd fight with Michael Watson 😒 no 1 can ever say after both fights with Carl The Cat Thompson, that Eubank didn't have courage 💪🏼 Thompson dismantled David Haye earlier on in his career, The Cat definitely had courage and strength too 💪🏼🥊💪🏼🥊
You also have to take into account Thompson playing Possum , early Thompson looked hurt and Chris rushed in only to be caught , when Thompson went back and bent down and then went back on the ropes , I think it was obviouse that Thompson wasn't hurt , I actually think in this instance Chris didn't rush him because he knew Thompsons game , you can tell the way Thompson spoke to the ref he was telling him it was a tactic. There were definitely times in a lot of fights Chris had lost his hunger to finish because of what happened. He had Steve Collins almost finished in the first fight and just held back too much to allow him to recover. There was another fight where Chris is hitting to the body , I can't remember who he was fighting , but the guy was hurt , and Chris's kept beckoning in the ref to stop the fight , then hitting the body , then waving his hand to the ref , he refused to knock the guy out , but the body shots were enough for the ref to eventually call it off. I'm always left astonished when I go back to watch Chris's fights , he basically had to fight the demons in his mind about hurting someone else , that it was like fighting two things at once , fancy fighting and you are reluctant to KO a fighter , you then have to put in so much more effort and absorb so much damage to either stop a fighter with body shots or win on points. Plus he is vehemently behind Bruno when Bruno was called Uncle T*m by Lennox Lewis , it's shows the difference between the two me men , Chris rarely got into vile personal attacks before a fight, he let his hands do the work , whereas someone like Lewis used a vile tactic , it worked , but for me I'll never respect Lewis , he was champion but I was never proud of him , yet when Chris was eventually stopped for the first time ever, due to his eye in the second fight v Thompson, I was more proud of Chris than any title Lewis won
What a strange fighter Thompson was. He looked so clumsy, easy to hit, easy to hurt...but he had an uncanny habit of luring better boxers away from their 'A' game, and into the trenches where he could grind them down.
Eubank was a tough guy. He had a head like concrete and the heart of a lion and the other lad was big , strong & resilient. Eubank was never the same after the Watson fight. Both of these lads are warriors and great respect to both of them. 👍👍👍
Eubank a Light heavyweight in the with a small Heavyweight. Gotta give it to Eubank. Had the big bollox
Eubank was originally a middle weight, didn’t even fight at light heavyweight
He was one tough guy Carl just when you thought he was beat he’d always battle back and win
Carl "the cat" Thompson was a great fighter, bit of a banger 👌 he was originally a Muay Thai fighter under the great Master Sken.
Yeah i remember Master sken back in the 90's. not associated but i remember Alfie Lewis too a good kickboxer.
Thank you for sharing the info. The cat could test your chin, for sure.
Tough as teak these men.

Visual size difference is clearly apparent. Eubank got the
bottle

@@danielhenstock5820 totally. Too big for Eubank. That’s why I think one weight below and Eubank would have won the belts again.
@devilfacedjedi I agree with you 💯, at Light Heavyweight Eubank would of been a beast 💪🏼🥊
What a war!!! Based on this highlight I give it to Eubanks. But of course I'd have to watch the full fight to make an unbiased decision.
Remarkable the fitness Thompson had for such a big man
Just brilliant 👏 ❤
They really don't make them like this anymore. Eubank jr one decent punch and his tripping all over the ring.
Chris stood off from truly hurting Thompson. We know why Chris did that.

What a fucking fight
This was the tough era ,not the shite we got now

I'm sure you've seen it, but there is a fight that proves all you say about The Cat: versus David Haye. What a fight.
Carl Thompson was one of the biggest punchers in British boxing history, along with ensley Bingham both from phill Martins champs camp. Rip.
Carl was incredible
Really good fight unknown I think too many. Could you upload some southpaw vs orthodox fights?
Sure

Other lad give David Haye a lesson.
Brilliant fight. I thought Eubank won, I still do. 🥊✌️
Been gone for over a month mate, hope everything’s good 👍
Ebank was one he'll of a fighter 100 percent worrior
Eubank had lost his killer instinct , if he had follewed up a couple of times he could of ended the fight
Superpelea pwro sienpre fue mejor eubank
