As a Ares Fan (had my third most play time of guardians in 1) the change to his shield buffer honestly was not fun. I like not needing to stay near allies to benifit but it is also annoying with how limited the range is whenever you have to shuffle from frontline to peeling the backline. Then you have the ult changes... Yeah he already suffered from an easy to counter ult and it is now even easier.
Anhur should get a shockwave dmg or slow debuff in a area when he impales someone into the pillar, it is one of the hardest skills he can do and is not properly rewarded
I've played hades since beta. His fear WAS ANY RANDOM DIRECTION. Not TO HIM. Not perpendicular. it was TRUE RANDOM. Away from him is a GOOD change. He can predict and force people into things now.
Good video gonna have to disagree with you on a couple though. You did forget about Jing Wei’s 1 how it does full damage to minions and gods even if they didn’t get hit with it on the initial tick is really big for her. This makes her stop being a safe carry and now she can be more aggressive and actually win lanes early game which feels so much better than smite 1. Also same with the morrigan the fact that she can activate her doomsayer with her auto attack chain actually lets her have a little bit of pressure without her ultimate which is another small but very noticeable change and also if you have doomslayer on an enemy god and then hit that god with another doomslayer it will proc the double damage but it also leaves the mark on the enemy god as well which is another huge change for her. And Ymir got way more than just his rocket jump the fact that his 1 is also a knock up gives him more cc but it also activates his passive which makes him better overall and the fact that you can rotate his camera during the prefire on his 2 is a HUGE change for him. This makes him better in every role and now you don’t have to wait for your stun for a guaranteed hit on your 2.
How is Neith not S tier? She also can leap over jungle walls which she couldn't do in Smite 1. And her weaves from her 2 don't remove previous weaves it made. They literally fixed every pain point about her
And Jing. She no longer has to KU in order to get her buff, can have 9-12 shots of explosive bolts with built in crit, has a turn radius on her dash, and has an ultimate that can stall most if not all channeled abilities in the game while also doing 2 instances of damage.
Thing is for me as a Hades main the ult addition is nice but i wanted some bigger changes to his kit as a whole where he isn’t super reliant on minions around him and reduce his TTK(time to kill ratio) as he comparatively like Anubis but technically worse as he has that super predictable “aura” around him like Ares where you can just tell he WANTS to ult and when he does it’s already super easy to avoid with how much mobility is in the game as well as cc immunity excluding relics. It feels that with each release of a character they are just better versions of another whilst the other older character gets left behind. Maui feels like the better Ares since his ult is a LOT quicker in comparison and harder to read when he wants to do it until he does it. Much like how Baron is kinda a better Hades only difference is he doesn’t have a jump or leap. I wanted to feel rewarded for getting something pulled as these characters rather than hopping to someone more updated that has an ability that can do 2-3 things at once compared to another character that has 1 gimmick trick. I know this is a hot take but I would say forget the preservation of older gods identities and integrate full kit reworks so they can still compete with the newer gods and feel fresh than relics of the past
It's lame that Hercules didnt get any +1 changes to his ult. They should reduce the size and speed of the boulder and let him have some control over how to use it. Letting him use his abilities on the boulder should be a no-brainer.
Lol'd at Cernunnos getting to D-tier while having LITERALLY NOTHING. Because I really don't think split scaling counts as +1 for a "+1 tierlist", since other gods got that too, heck, you mentioned Medusa first. It's just a mechanic that some gods can utilize, but if it's not actual extra flair for a god, then it's not a plusone. You basically gave split scaling a minimum of two tiers worth of value. Aspects don't count either.
The Morrigan’s %Max HP dot on her AA chain got the ability to crit for (2x)%Max HP. It’s uh.. like honestly kinda strong because her cut really isn’t bad for building AA. Like it’s not great I don’t think we’ll be seeing much use of it unless ain’t Crit items happen to be busted but you did miss it and it is ’interesting’. Toss in a random 7th item deathbringer and she sometimes does like 18% of a tanks hp with an auto
Ullr change is pretty negligible. I was hoping he’d get some kind of auto cancel or combo passive where his abilities maybe apply a mark he can detonate with autos that could heal him or just deal damage
Yea a sort of mega-hydras could've been cool where he gains a stack every ability hit up to like 6 and his next auto bursts people, or even applies on-hit effects like Duality from SMITE 1. Though I guess they were cautious about adding more damage to Ullr's kit which is a fair concern.
@@papermachete8071 They are waiting for the blackout period to end so whenever that ends is when mulan/ agni etc come out and then a week later they said they are adding Alladin and Joust so it kind of all depends on when the blackout period is over.

Morrigan got nerfed. Besides her third basic activating her 2 he cloak that breaks on damage got reduced from 8 seconds to 5 and her one now resets her stupid attack chain. While Loki just eats damage invincible. Cuz that’s fair.
Eh, as a smite 1 and 2 Morri main, I like her way more in 2 purely because her decoy can actually fool people consistently if you know what you're doing.

I still wish the duration of the cloak was a little higher than Loki for the fact that you can’t just cloak and run. You have to be strategic and make sure you have a second of no damage before escaping. I’m not saying she’s bad. I just feel like the quality of life with the one resetting the auto attack train was a big part of my attack in S1. I do think shes better in S2; I will just miss a few things that we lost is all. 7 star is S1 she will be my main in S2 still. Best god hands down.
@davidbush6674 I mean thanks to her plus 1 changes to her passive she has the best wave 1 clear out of all mages. Hit the melee with 3 autos, including your big auto, then 2, then hit melee with 2 normal autos and the archers with the big auto. Congrats, wave is cleared. Begin poking the enemy mid laner. She is so strong hahaha
@ yo agreed. I love the high risk high reward. You can eliminate anything. You just have to be close to do it. Maybe it’ll make her op but I’d love to have her 1 and 2 if it hits a god it progresses her auto attack chain. Maybe I’m just fan boying but I’ve wanted that since S1
maybe for Anhur they can change the ult to do the spear but it almost boomerang like not pulling fully to him but at like 50-75% towards him almost like an disruption it would play pretty nice with his Sand Pillar

I just have to say, basic attack Nu Wa is definitely a thing. Sure its enhanced by the fact that braggis is broken but its IMO a very good way to build her especially in solo lane. You can go bruiser and really make a big impact.
I think Jing wei is in a fair spot on the tier list, but if placed any lower it would not be agreeable. Imo she is at least a a tier god considering she got a ➕️ 1 to each of her abilities, and she has a big impact with adc since before her counters weren't there. Every time I see a Than buy Tekko and also not sell it when their nonfunctioning eyes can't see the buff isn't showing up I slightly die inside Than no mana is cool I guess but not being able to use Tekko and also playing Chalk who can't proc FocusGem and Tekko when he uses his passive is a little inconvenient. I would't use Tekko on Than anyways and maybe it's for balance because his 2 move spd, but I just hope they're aware of all the item interactions when making these mechanics (activation conditions).
Oh true I literally forgot about no mana thana but in reality it makes no difference, he never had mana issues at all before anyway. Just a nerf if anything since he can't build Trans and Tekko
Its a -1. Like inter said he never had mana issues. Mana was always abundant for him since he used hp too. Now he's just barred from building two items for no reason.
Anhur +1 rework idea. This is basically stealing from his aspect. I really like the idea of his aspect forcing you to attack 1 specific person to make use of it, so what if his base passive was the same way as his aspect but for pen instead of attack speed? So now instead of you autoing someone once and they lose 20 prots, you auto them many times and gain stacking pen against them. and then you build executioner to make it even better.
@@Nonco-1 Anhur passive actively makes Exe less effective. Exe is percentage based and his passive is flat. 36% of 100 is 36, without Anhur passive the item is reducing their defense by 36. If we add Anhur passive 100-20 =80 36% of 80 is 28.8. It's still good but with what your suggesting it would probably be best to forgo Exe altogether for power.
@@Wintercide That's correct, but I said "instead of them losing 20 prots, you auto them many times and gain stacking pen against them." meaning he doesnt have the flat prot reduction anymore, just stacking percent pen like exe already has. And to be clear, it would work in the same way his aspect does, so you gain the stacking percent pen against 1 target, if you switch targets, that percent goes back to zero and you restart.

2:59 am I the only one who likes new Anhur ult. It feels like it chunks early game on that final swing. I’m also a console player though and old Anhur old was difficult to smoothly track
I honestly feel they've done very well so far. Some of the gods could have used just a little more to give them something different but feel a lot of the gods from Smite 1 are pretty balanced. Of all the gods released so far there are only 2 that I would have had more overhaul: Zeus and Yemoja. I feel Zeus should have had a complete kit change. I would have kept his chain lightning bolt, downgraded his Ult to be a basic ability, and changed everything else. I felt the whole Detonate mechanic would have been better on a Hunter so I would have taken that from him. Not sure the passive but he'd probably give some sort of power buff to cement him being the king of the gods. I would have giving him a dash where he turns into an eagle. His Ult I would have him grow super big and be able to call blasts of lightning kind of like Rama Ult mixed with Cthulhu. Yemoja I would trash that passive. I hate people saying 'its an interesting design it needs to stay' when it completely breaks the game. She will never be able to be balanced because she ignores both the foundational rules of the game: cooldown and mana. You can get rid of one with no rule problems but getting rid of both makes her either completely busted or utterly worthless, she is currently busted but soon will be nerfed into the ground where she'll be worthless. A god that only works at the highest end of play is a bad design.
Good thing you are not questioned about changes. The best parts about playing zeus are simple pleasures of detonate and ult. His 1 is his absolutely least interesting ability. Also your new idea for ult is Baba Yaga ult.
I love Anhur and can say that he has sucked for years and still sucks, but saying the ult change for Smite 2 is worse is insane. It is so much better than trying to hit all 8 spears.
Lets just go threw what ares actually got in smite 2. He got split scaling, the bad kind where this ability scales with int and that ability with str -1. The base damage of his abilities went down -2, and the scaling of all his abilities went down -3.He lost hp5 on his 2 -4, he lost ccr on his 2 -5, you no longer have to time cc immunity for his ult -6, his passive get hims less overall damage -7, his chains no longer shoot straigt out when you flick them they behave more like maui pull a much heavier ccc ability -8, but you can use his chains during his fire which makes the basic attack damage on his 2 even more pointless because you don't need to auto cancel his chains anymore. not even a +1 total still -8 total.
smite fans hear me out a cool change for izinami even tho it might broken her 2 should fear instead of slow it goes so much better with her theme and chracter help me get this to hi rez lol
Smite will sadly never get a god that genuinely takes a lot of time to master due to depth and complexity. They had a chance with Merlin but they wasted one ability by making it the same in all 3 stances and it being a boring blink. Also his ult should be like ullr ult swal where u can do it instantly and have to juggle cool downs so good merlins can rotate quickly between 9 unique abilities (assuming they make the 3 unique for each and remove the baby blink) But no. They didn't and won't. Yemoja is likely as "complicated" as it's getting and she's still very simple. Dota has invoker with like 16 abilities and smite will never have such depth. They're too scared to ever make anything too crazy unique.
They missed the opportunity to adjust Yemoja's VVM voiceline to "Out of omi", all the text can remain the same, they'd have to just change the audio, cuz technically you're always out of mana lol
As much as I love SMITE, Hi-rez has a bad habit of nerfing/removing anything interesting. Like the unique Erlang Shen item interactions and now the str/int interactions/scaling on gods in SMITE 2. Cern got gutted as far as split scaling and Bellona had hers removed entirely. Please Hi-rez, let us have fun and interesting knobs to play with. Even if it seems useless for the gods traditional build style leave it be or even add a little more. The Bellona int scaling was neat, more healing on the 3 and reflected damage on the 1. Not the most generally useful, but maybe add something more to her kit that makes it so that int build is an option even if it isn't meta. I think Nemesis is a pretty decent example for a split scaling god. I could be wrong on this next statement but generally we *want* changes to the gods that are more impactful than Chaac can cancel his 1 so you can 2 w/o teleporting, or the Agni changes, or Ares can shoot chains while the 3 is active, or Pele's joke of a +1 in the "dash."

28:11 morri got to steal the relic of who she copies. Which is still bugged and needs nerfed but cool change, and she steals the level order of who she copies. Which makes her able to copy truly anybody she wants. You use to have to be careful because a lot of characters you’d swap into and have no strong abilities
Honestly if they ever gave zeus his shield back i'd be back to maining him. I absolutely hate his new playstyle and I feel like it makes him so weak in too many ways and a bit too easy to dive without being punished too much now or having more of your own safety.
I do think an aspect that returns that playstyle would be the best way. New zeus still exists for those that prefer it and old zeus returns for those that prefer that.
Hold up. You think ullr who literally dives in with his 3 then axs to stun. The enemy then loses protections when switching to bow stance for your whole bow kit to do extra damage then you switch again slowing the enemy while you box them belongs in E tier?
If you need to point blank people to land axe you're just not a good ullr. The best ullrs sometimes don't even need axe they'll still land the combo without the stun to set it up.

i want them to add an active stacking item where you get the access to the active only after u fully stack it.

Im mostly waiting for Vulcan to play right now im pretty excited to play again been taking a break from smite for a few months now.

Its a -1. Like inter said he never had mana issues. Mana was always abundant for him since he used hp too. Now he's just barred from building two items for no reason.
Anhur +1 rework idea. This is basically stealing from his aspect. I really like the idea of his aspect forcing you to attack 1 specific person to make use of it, so what if his base passive was the same way as his aspect but for pen instead of attack speed? So now instead of you autoing someone once and they lose 20 prots, you auto them many times and gain stacking pen against them. and then you build executioner to make it even better.
@@Nonco-1 Anhur passive actively makes Exe less effective. Exe is percentage based and his passive is flat. 36% of 100 is 36, without Anhur passive the item is reducing their defense by 36. If we add Anhur passive 100-20 =80 36% of 80 is 28.8. It's still good but with what your suggesting it would probably be best to forgo Exe altogether for power.
@@Wintercide That's correct, but I said "instead of them losing 20 prots, you auto them many times and gain stacking pen against them." meaning he doesnt have the flat prot reduction anymore, just stacking percent pen like exe already has.
And to be clear, it would work in the same way his aspect does, so you gain the stacking percent pen against 1 target, if you switch targets, that percent goes back to zero and you restart.

2:59 am I the only one who likes new Anhur ult. It feels like it chunks early game on that final swing. I’m also a console player though and old Anhur old was difficult to smoothly track

Geb got like a +10 and is just better in every way to smite one geb. Idk why they gave him steroids like that. Also that passive is just op.
I honestly feel they've done very well so far. Some of the gods could have used just a little more to give them something different but feel a lot of the gods from Smite 1 are pretty balanced. Of all the gods released so far there are only 2 that I would have had more overhaul: Zeus and Yemoja. I feel Zeus should have had a complete kit change. I would have kept his chain lightning bolt, downgraded his Ult to be a basic ability, and changed everything else. I felt the whole Detonate mechanic would have been better on a Hunter so I would have taken that from him. Not sure the passive but he'd probably give some sort of power buff to cement him being the king of the gods. I would have giving him a dash where he turns into an eagle. His Ult I would have him grow super big and be able to call blasts of lightning kind of like Rama Ult mixed with Cthulhu. Yemoja I would trash that passive. I hate people saying 'its an interesting design it needs to stay' when it completely breaks the game. She will never be able to be balanced because she ignores both the foundational rules of the game: cooldown and mana. You can get rid of one with no rule problems but getting rid of both makes her either completely busted or utterly worthless, she is currently busted but soon will be nerfed into the ground where she'll be worthless. A god that only works at the highest end of play is a bad design.
Good thing you are not questioned about changes. The best parts about playing zeus are simple pleasures of detonate and ult. His 1 is his absolutely least interesting ability. Also your new idea for ult is Baba Yaga ult.

I love Anhur and can say that he has sucked for years and still sucks, but saying the ult change for Smite 2 is worse is insane. It is so much better than trying to hit all 8 spears.
Lets just go threw what ares actually got in smite 2. He got split scaling, the bad kind where this ability scales with int and that ability with str -1. The base damage of his abilities went down -2, and the scaling of all his abilities went down -3.He lost hp5 on his 2 -4, he lost ccr on his 2 -5, you no longer have to time cc immunity for his ult -6, his passive get hims less overall damage -7, his chains no longer shoot straigt out when you flick them they behave more like maui pull a much heavier ccc ability -8, but you can use his chains during his fire which makes the basic attack damage on his 2 even more pointless because you don't need to auto cancel his chains anymore. not even a +1 total still -8 total.

No matter how much I have been watching Smite 2 stuff, I can't get into it. I keep thinking, Why smite 2?
Smite will sadly never get a god that genuinely takes a lot of time to master due to depth and complexity. They had a chance with Merlin but they wasted one ability by making it the same in all 3 stances and it being a boring blink. Also his ult should be like ullr ult swal where u can do it instantly and have to juggle cool downs so good merlins can rotate quickly between 9 unique abilities (assuming they make the 3 unique for each and remove the baby blink)
But no. They didn't and won't. Yemoja is likely as "complicated" as it's getting and she's still very simple.
Dota has invoker with like 16 abilities and smite will never have such depth. They're too scared to ever make anything too crazy unique.

They missed the opportunity to adjust Yemoja's VVM voiceline to "Out of omi", all the text can remain the same, they'd have to just change the audio, cuz technically you're always out of mana lol

As much as I love SMITE, Hi-rez has a bad habit of nerfing/removing anything interesting. Like the unique Erlang Shen item interactions and now the str/int interactions/scaling on gods in SMITE 2. Cern got gutted as far as split scaling and Bellona had hers removed entirely. Please Hi-rez, let us have fun and interesting knobs to play with. Even if it seems useless for the gods traditional build style leave it be or even add a little more. The Bellona int scaling was neat, more healing on the 3 and reflected damage on the 1. Not the most generally useful, but maybe add something more to her kit that makes it so that int build is an option even if it isn't meta. I think Nemesis is a pretty decent example for a split scaling god.
I could be wrong on this next statement but generally we *want* changes to the gods that are more impactful than Chaac can cancel his 1 so you can 2 w/o teleporting, or the Agni changes, or Ares can shoot chains while the 3 is active, or Pele's joke of a +1 in the "dash."

@Wintercide im level 111 with 8 radiant gods When a god is the #1 ADC for weeks they tend to nerf the god keep crying like a little baby tho

All but removing the split scaling from him though just makes the god less interesting to play. I might as well jump on the SMITE 2 hate train if you're going to be toxic about this. 28:11 morri got to steal the relic of who she copies. Which is still bugged and needs nerfed but cool change, and she steals the level order of who she copies. Which makes her able to copy truly anybody she wants. You use to have to be careful because a lot of characters you’d swap into and have no strong abilities
Yemoja should’ve been made to scale like Aphrodite with nothing but int it would’ve made you choose to either or play like a tank or healer.

Honestly if they ever gave zeus his shield back i'd be back to maining him. I absolutely hate his new playstyle and I feel like it makes him so weak in too many ways and a bit too easy to dive without being punished too much now or having more of your own safety.
I do think an aspect that returns that playstyle would be the best way. New zeus still exists for those that prefer it and old zeus returns for those that prefer that.

Hold up. You think ullr who literally dives in with his 3 then axs to stun. The enemy then loses protections when switching to bow stance for your whole bow kit to do extra damage then you switch again slowing the enemy while you box them belongs in E tier?
Sorry but if you jump in then axe people as Ullr, YOU are E tier...
If you need to point blank people to land axe you're just not a good ullr. The best ullrs sometimes don't even need axe they'll still land the combo without the stun to set it up.
