In a few of my upcoming videos you will notice some back and forth between the old and new place. That's because I've recorded quite a few videos at my old place, some of them finished off in the new place. Enjoy the video!
Loved the video! Reminded me of my Sanyo M-1440 which I 've had since childhood. Lots of memories with it, and still using it to this day. It also has VAS (Voice Activated System) which works exactly like VOX. I also have a Sony dictaphone which calls the same function VOR (Voice Operated Recording).
Nice work :-). I still have my old Sony Walkman - although I haven't tested it for ages! However, I recently bought a portable Sony DAT player. It's like listening to CD but on cassette! They are a bit pricey, but very interesting units.
I've never had the pleasure of experiencing a DAT player/recorder first hand. Also depending on what model it is, your Sony Walkman probably costs quite a bit right now, they're becoming really saught after..and thank you! 🙂
What a nice tape deck. I bet it would be great with the Spectrum. I had a cassette player in the 80's with variable speed I used with my Speccy, I would speed the tape up for shorter loading times. (it did'nt always work. LOL)
Tandy was good on marketing (Tandy battery club) but wasn't really 'leading edge' when it came to design or performance ! I enjoy your videos but I am a bit prejudiced towards a certain Iconic Japanese company who were the first to exploit the power of the transistor !

I love tape players. I saved some from my teens but it's hard when the belt dries out and I can't find the same size
I think you can buy belt kits, which have heaps to chose from. Maybe one of those has the belt(s) you're looking for?

@@MsMadLemon Yeah. Ha ha.
Genexxa was a Radio Shack brand after Radio Shack dropped their long established Realistic brand name
The cat is really into what you're doing!
I have a Sony Walkman that has a problem with using rewind, it sometimes doesn’t work but when I open it up to investigate, it decides to work. 🤷♂️
I have the same one, only called Casio tp-6, did not know that he had a twin brother 😮
Maybe it's Neelix Magic™ that made it work!
Very nice
