Yeah, it's more of a short video than a music video, with a satiric take on Russian suburbian Romeo and Juliet (they even had the scene with the balcony and the fight between 'families' - the boyfriend is clearly a criminal element, and the 'Juliet's' father is a cop)
Romantic gopnic story with a huge number of satirical references to our life) The Director of the video, by the way, is the genius Anna Parnas. This is an old clip, when it came out, there weren't so much cool music videos in Russia as now, and for that time it was a breakthrough.
The meaning of the video is difficult for a foreigner to understand. Here, almost every scene has a double meaning and makes fun of a certain social class. Characters are shown exaggerated, hyperbole. Only a person with Russian culture can understand the fine line of each joke, it is humor on the edge.
Marginal criminal elements are portrayed in the picture and a song that is kinda about such a life: an extreme poverty when even potatoes and onions are considered a luxury. This, I hope, is a hyperbola, but who knows. There are people in Russia whose salaries are $55 a month. (The number i mention is so specific because I’ve met several people who had such official salaries. Very sad.) One negative moment about the video clip: it romanticizes criminal lifestyle, IMO, which is never good. In the beginning of 2000s, a large amount of amnestied prisoners flooded the cities of Russia, plus the extreme economical conditions around that time,- all of that had an extreme effect on Russian culture. All kids, even from very intelligent families, grew up surrounded with criminal slang that was pouring from TV shows, marginal cultures being represented extremely vividly in mass media in a positive light.
This is capitalism baby. It is the same everywhere. I will say more, there are people who have no salary at all. But there are also many people with huge salaries and incomes.
у всех бывает неудачный продукт, вот и у "Ленинграда"это тот ещё позор. Ни музыка, ни клип..где они вообще такое видели 2020году, ГДЕ они такое видели???

A very good explanation, wouldn't explain it better myself.
Вроде и клип, но в России наверное такая история была у каждого, либо наблюдал за такой историей.
