SOMEONE TELL JACK THAT SUBNAUTICA IS CHANGING THE STORY COMPLETELY. They have a new writer and the new story is coming next year so the update yesterday is the only story update for the foreseeable future
Sean, the Architechs have been modifying themselves throughout their existence, this body Al-An is in now is the culmination of their technological advancements. Yes, it's what they most recently looked like before whatever disaster happened.
al-an’s body looks slightly like the warpers body’s but heavily modified and more robotic for life with the ability to walk have various hand types. At least to me it looks like that
There was supposed to be more dialogue during that scene, but for some reason a few lines were not dubbed so they had to cut em. The dialogue was: Al-an: what are you doing on the ground? / why are you on the floor? (don't remember the exact words) Robin: I'm hurt Al-an: *picks her up* Robin: what are you doing?! Al-an: I'm helping you Robin: oh ... Hi. *waves* Al-an: hello *waves back* Not only was he very gentle, the whole reason he picked her up in the first place was to help her get back on her feet and check if she was ok
Playing through subnautica because of Sean. Unless I missed him mention it marguerit is the same woman from the degrasi team in the first game. "Killed a reaper" just hit me playing through and watching the series again.
This game is now fully-voiced with basically a complete storyline. Now would be a great time to revisit it! Edit: I just found out today that you still can’t complete the story. You can get to the very end before you’re blocked by an invisible wall. Sorry for the misinformation. Whenever Séan does come back to it, though, I hope he finds the references to him that the devs hid. (Coffee machine *hint hint*)
Jack: "How the heck am I supposed to go deeper?", "Oh its pretty sly for them to force you to go the extra distance alone." And other complaints about the seatruck max depth Pepper the Prawn Suit with depth modules: "Am I a joke to you?"
I need a plush of AL-AN now. The alien designs in the Subnautica games have always been so good and accurate, and I love the direction they went for the pre-curser design too.
VusKorE: where instead of trying to escape a planet to get back to humans. You’re trying to escape to a planet away from humans. The ultimate plot twist. Next to space centaur Allen. Who slowly learns how to become human. Like in terminator.
Jack: "I think they modeled Alan after the statue" Everyone else knowing that Alan is an architect and therefore would look like the statue: *sighs deeply*
There’s actually a lot more this game has to offer most notably we have no clue what happened to the Russian guy. And for more importantly we still don’t exactly know the purpose of that mine so we’re not done with the game just yet
We also need to see how confronting Sam and Altera about Al-an will go down. Not to make any clear asumptions but I'm hoping for some real drama, and a lot more interactions with Robin and Al-an face to face
Don't expect too much, as far as I know, the devs are rewriting the story with another writer, since they didn't like the way it was heading or something. So the entire story might end up being rewritten.
Did you notice how Alan changed colors? When she said "friends"he turned green for a moment And when he said "enemy" he flashed red Nice detail I noticed
It so cool. I think alan over the time he's been with robin is starting to care about her. Maybe like a mutual friendship or somthing. I also like how when she waves at him. @@ahziakarui I don't think he's forgetting, I just think he's stating his thoughts about it aloud regardless of whether it can be explained away by the Early Access state of the game.
i can't comprehend how damn cool Al-An looks, i was sceptical about the naming, i mean how many aliens in movies/shows have been named "Alan", but they've really outdone themselves, it hurts my soul to see how epic he looks
AL-AN is more of a play on words if you pay close attention, it's a stretch but really it's basically referring to "Alien" - 'Al-an" plus, we said his name was Alan when it's more just Al-An, plus it having a somewhat normal name actually makes him even more unnatural since it's not some generic weird crazy alien name they created, it's very well thought out honestly, but overall i agree, AL-An is one of the coolest character i have ever seen in any game to be honest.
i know the play on words bit but i've seen it used before, is it just me that has seen "Alan" used for an alien before? that's also true misty i didn't consider that, also i have just noticed something subtle that i might be over-analyising, but when robin asks if alan is her friend, he turns green and doesn't answer the question, i dont think there has been a moment where alan didn't reply to one of robin's questions, alan mentioned that there are some things left about him in robin after the data transfer, do you think that some parts of robin such as human emotion have been left with alan?
33:18, 40:26 **zooms in on the "Early Access"** It's clear that Robin is the one editing this series (but to be fair, the Teleportation Module only allows the player to teleport **to** the Seatruck) :P

I just watched all 16 on quarantine and think a episode 17 where you catch up on all the upgrades and building a SICCKKKK base while also telling how the games development has been would be a GREAT video number 17.
I feel like Jack is less scared of the leviathans in this game than the ones in the original subnauseous, it's like he knows death is waiting around every corner and he's accepting it.
To be fair, there haven't been that many, and the only hostile one in this game that he's experienced is the Shadow Leviathan, which he fears just about as much as the Reaper.
It's also the fact that he has such a personality with his colors. Green while she talks about friends; peace. Red while talking about Alterra and Robin being enemies; hostile. White for the tablet; subject. His subtle changes in color while holding you, like he's trying to figure out what to do with you.
@@aunikyu309 Yeah, and I also noticed that he quickly flashes red in alarm when Robin yells "No!". Kinda like it startled him. And then going back to purple in a sort of content manner. Not sure about blue
Now that I'm thinking about it, his blue tone may be his trust, confidence, and loyalty in her. Maybe he sees trust or confidence or loyalty in her which is influencing his colors. Maybe he can understand another's emotion and represent it through his color. Maybe he is sensing her current emotions resulting in all the colors in him
I love how many JSE references there are in this game. Robin - Jack's editor Sam - his logo/pet When you enter the fabrication facility it looks like a septic eye and in early playthrough Jack even said something like "It'd be cool to meet an alien in this game but can you imagine if you travel so far & it turns out their name is 'Alan' or 'Steve'" and "the Leviathan is cool but can you imagine if you went out even further & a massive creature just came out of nowhere & bit your face off?!"

Well if you forgot, it's in early release. So they're probably going to add more to the game

jack: "Oh hi"
i can't comprehend how damn cool Al-An looks, i was sceptical about the naming, i mean how many aliens in movies/shows have been named "Alan", but they've really outdone themselves, it hurts my soul to see how epic he looks
I think it's easier to connect with the character that way, and it's obvious thay wanted him that way..
I love him I must protecc him.
Horse son
i know the play on words bit but i've seen it used before, is it just me that has seen "Alan" used for an alien before?
that's also true misty i didn't consider that, also i have just noticed something subtle that i might be over-analyising, but when robin asks if alan is her friend, he turns green and doesn't answer the question, i dont think there has been a moment where alan didn't reply to one of robin's questions, alan mentioned that there are some things left about him in robin after the data transfer, do you think that some parts of robin such as human emotion have been left with alan?
