Is there a place in web where one can play PVP? Or maybe some tournaments... and what software one must use to play worms online? And last question - can online pvp be applied to worms world party?
The main server is still active if you connect to WormNet within the game. Check the description for some discord and site links too, there are cups, challenges, etc, on tus-wa.com. You just need to get the game from Steam or GOG, it should have the latest updates. I'm not sure how to do online PVP in WWP, most people go straight to WA since there's a player base.
Thanks; the CPU wants to walk right almost all the time. Interestingly, this rightward bias only got accidentally introduced with one of the updates many years back, and is going to get corrected in (probably) the next patch.
wow. something i never noticed! probably because i spent most of my time on the n64 version. that version uses the worms 2 damage values for mortars and cluster bombs (for some reason), and you can do like 170+ damage with a cluster trick! i'm watching all missions any% 59:12 right now!@@mablak2039
I have some Critique/Feedback/Observations that will probably be dismissed for future runs: 1. I think the approach of only caring about the last two battles is not the best.Sure, they are by far the most difficult, but they're also the most skill reliant, other than map gen and starting positions, which is true of every map. 2. You rush too much early on, for very little gain. I think this is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum compared to your deathless run, which makes sense to a point, but I think you should still be a little more careful with your moves in this run. All in all, I estimate you lost about 8 minutes or more just from the worst moves you made resulting in worms living longer than they should. 3. I think you should NEVER EVER Ropezooka unless you have a lot to gain, like killing 2 or more worms... and even then I don't think it's worth it, as there's a lot more things you could do, like grenades or even just standing bazooka if you need the knockback effect that badly. I think the literally less than 2 seconds that it would take to just stand somewhere safe to aim, even if it results in a sewer side attack, is more than worth it in the long run. You should only ever consider high risk, low reward moves if your PB is already so perfect that you can barely find ways to shave time, and as I see it, there's plenty of opportunity, despite holding the world record. I'm sure with your skills, some luck, and with a tiny bit more patience, you could shave like 10 minutes off of this time
Hey thanks I could clarify a couple things: you can develop a lot of skill at zooking from rope if you play ropers, it's a worthwhile time save if the kill is easy enough. All the maps do matter, but the last two have special importance because they have the biggest range, from 6 minutes to 12 minutes, mostly based on map luck. I feel like I don't rush as much as most players, I tend to overthink. For example, I'll rarely take a single quick and easy kill just because I can do it in a few seconds, I'll always spend some thinking time to see if I can chain the easy kill with something else. That said, as you play more and more you start to get a feel for what 'too long' of a turn is, and you do want to make sure you're keeping tempo and never taking full length turns.
@@mablak2039 yeah I do get it, but I really think you're still rushing a bit too much in some instances, like the failed shotgun on queen mum or the ropezooka on graham But anyway I guess this is all hindsight, in any case I wish you the best if you ever attempt to improve on this, as I really think you still can!
