Note from California You know building for a new baby would be fun to watch!❤ You could unload on market place and make bank!!! Something to watch and maybe be fun?❤❤❤❤
Nice Ryan! MIca powders mixed with the epoxy make the pour interesting. Vibration will bring the bubbles up. That new sander laid upside down should do the job. Although it may take awhile. I did this once pouring pen blanks. However, the desk looks just beautiful. Glad your back is doing better.
Hey! I bought a redwood burl slab, to make a birthday gift for my son. There was SSSSOOOOO many things I wish I would have taken the time to learn or acknowledged prior to starting the project. But here we are. I can't redo it but I did enjoy the process.
Thanks for the video Ryan ! Good project, I really enjoy the description of your thought process in assessing a challenge and forming a plan. Good luck and best wishes on the recovery from your back issues. 86.6k
Ryan! I found a cool wireless fence for the pooch. Check out “spot on”. Looks pretty good, works off of gps instead of a buried wire. Walk the boundary with the unit to set parameters, save and your pup is free to roam inside your set boundaries. It uses a collar so….. it’s an interesting choice. Good luck!
I have an idea, make a table and use colored resin. I would like to see that video. Also I can watch endless sewing videos, I'm in to quilting. Glad you're taking care of your back.
What I have found works well with notty cedar is a sealing coat using an acid brush for the deep holes and a foam brush for the top surface. Do this first, let it set, then do your top coat pour spread with a spatula and let it self level. Use a heat gun to remove bubbles. I really like your channel. Keep up the awesome content!
Looks great 👍 .I have 4 cases of liquid 2 part acrylic I am saving for a live edge oak table I plan to make.. currently the 2 1/2 in thick slabs are drying... then it's make actual boards out of them then assemble... will be a beast of a table but should.last a lifetime.or 2..lol.
Ryan looks good from here in The Helderbergs in Upstate NY. FYI I have the Ryobi 18 volt and USB hot glue guns and they work great! Especially the no cord to wrangle.
Great thing about epoxy is that you can sand it down to fix any rough spots and apply a thin layer and the repaired area blends in. What did the instructions say about UV protection? Does it need a UV protecting topcoat? Desktop looks great.
Hello Ryan I was thinking about you and the summer time and I was watching another channel and remembered bats. You should make some bat houses. If they come they will reduce your Thermacell use. I’ve had them at both my houses. I live in SE Texas so we know about mosquitoes 6 months of the year. Give it a go!
I have wood counters and tables and have lived with them for years. You need to do moisture test on the wood so you don’t get any white fogging on the epoxy. You need to seal both sides to stabilize the wood. Top should have several coats of epoxy, sand between coats. At least wash the blush off the last pour or you won’t get proper bonding. Sand the top down to 250 and then put coat of floor varnish over the epoxy to protect it from uv even inside. You can then recoat it every couple of years to get rid of the scratches. My counters are now over 10 years old. That old palm sander makes good vibrator for concrete. When you do large surfaces a window squeegee works well.
Hope all A-OK, Ryan, with you, Kiper, Sarah & Tito. Party week, no? CELEBRATE FREEDOM! Hope y’all are seeing tons of shooting stars… Looking forward to seeing you.
Hope that is all. If so then I’m glad he is having fun with people around to help if needed. Myself I am willing to wait without complaint as long as he is all good.
The best & toughest dog balls ever. Blue healer and black shepherd, Fridays they both get new ones. We should have hundreds of balls right? Wrong. Somewhere there are piles of balls in the woods.
Your desk turned out great. Have you tried Stonecoat countertop epoxy? They have a deep pour version for projects. Check out their videos for rivertop tables, too.
Please install the gutters, which you absolutely need to prevent water damage, avoid soil erosion, prevent mold and mildew, and protect landscaping around your home. I would spend the money to put a downspout into a rain barrel at the corner of the house. Then use the water to water a garden, or water planted sugar maples to make maple syrup, or any plant that would benefit your family. You would get your money back for the price you paid for the gutters in no time. Get a food grade rain barrel BPA free with spigot that you can hook a hose to. I would get the Micro-Mesh Gutter Guards, or something similar. I wouldn't cut corners when it comes to gutters. Water will be a powerful enemy to your house, and, without gutters, it will erode and damage you home and landscape around your home.
I hope Ryan is okay. I guess that Sara, Tido and his dad probably keep tabs on our hero. I’m sure that they will go up nort and help him out if necessary.
Even cave men had a flat surface to place their Dino burger on. I see a lot of you tubers using Ryobi tools. Are they any good now? I tried them years ago and didn't have any luck with any of the ones I bought.
I’m satisfied with my Ryobi tools. I settled on Ryobi for cordless tools about 10 years ago because I wanted to use a single battery platform and Ryobi had a good selection and seemed like a fair value. I sometimes abuse my tools and expect to break stuff once in a while. Ryobi has exceeded my expectations in performance, durability and value. Sometimes I get aftermarket batteries which never perform as well as the OEM batteries but can be a reasonable value. A few years ago I decided to power my ice fishing auger with a cordless drill. Almost every video I watched they were using Milwaukee drills and often claimed that they were the only ones up to the task. I got Ryobi’s highest torque drill and found it could drill a 6 inch hole through 22 inches of ice in under 10 seconds. This is “good enough” for me.
See ya, guys! We’re all so sad to lose you both. Goodbye. Hello? Why are you still here? No one is making you watch stuff you don’t like…sounds like you two need hobbies outside of RUclips…lol!
I certainly hope you are ok. Missed you Saturday. Hope all is well with you !
Welcome to the Worm! Goodmorning from Alabama. And a huge Roll Tide. Will be a great game no matter what. Take a break from milling an watch it Ryan.

The insight to the need for a table is great. You're so right it had me laughing.
Yaaa🎉 another video.Love your content. Thankfully you're getting better! Awesome news❤
Hello Ryan good to see you worked on some projects 👍💖🥰❤️💕🇺🇸🙏
If only the epoxy wasn't so darn expensive, I'd have dozens of my woodworking projects include the stuff!
Love your work. 81 year old from Australia.

The top looks great! Just an FYI for future pours, if you measure by weight, the ratio is 100A:83B. If you measure by volume, the ratio is 1:1 😀

Awesome life you have like I said I’m jealous
You can use charcoal as a pigment for the epoxy. For filling the cracks and gaps. Better than milky white

Cool! Needed that for my similar project!

Use a 1/8 inch square notch trowel to spread epoxy.

Fine Saw dust mixed with white Glue for hole/Crack filling..

Maybe you can paint the epoxy disks and use them for target practice.
Hi from Australia, re air bubbles in epoxy if you use a hair dryer or heat gun while it's liquid the bubbles will come to the surface and level out.
I hope you're doing well. I came to find a new video and I was sad that it's been 12 days since you posted. Give Kuyper some loving for us.

Rubber squeegee is used when they do garage floors..... try that

hot glue and plastic strips along the edges work better, the top covers of trunking strips are ideal for this
They do make a roller for epoxy
Morning ringworms
@@fifiandbella are you still making facial diapers 🐑
You have so much cedar, you should look up Yagisugi and come up with a project for it. No other hint.
Big worm is too hungover to post. That’s a good thing. It is party week after all, is it not?
Hope that is all. If so then I’m glad he is having fun with people around to help if needed. Myself I am willing to wait without complaint as long as he is all good.

Audio book for your list. "Life at the Bottom" by Theodore Dalrymple. Enjoy party week, looking forward to seeing the video. :)
17:37 I think I would have used a 45 degree bevel bit on a router and done all the joints in black caulk like the walls you've done.
I would've put carbord underneath the table so if there's any dripping then it will go on the carbord then

For the dents, steam them.
need to use a 1/4 inch trowel let it self level then use the heat gun to pop bubbles.
I thought that was the smartest dog you could get. My dog chewed threw that leash in a second. He would run away if he wanted to.

Good morning from TEXAS, WHAT IS GOING ON WITH UR BACK? I'm concerned cause I have bad back problems. GET BETTER. IIM PRAYING 4 U. GOD BLESS.
You can remove bubbles in epoxy with a heat gun
I know you were away but I have wondered why that was? Was it back surgery?
Not flaws, It has some character. However. I think those bits sticking up will bother you more then the divots did.
