[23 July 2023] It's like a samba for Jah! Or like Barbara Lewis's "Hello Stranger" gone roots! I mean to say, that's how it sounds to me, with its dulcet danceable piano and organ riffs. But I know, of course, it is much more than that. A paraphrase of Proverbs 10:21, "Wisdom" must surely stand as one of the best of the Wailers' early spiritual songs.
This sounds so weird.. The music absolutely does not groove with the lyrics. The band sounds like a very good hotel or club band for entertainment - but these are actually already cultural roots lyrics.
@@tabou1 - Now look, I'm done with your passive-aggressiveness. For a reggae supporter, I'd have expected a less bossy and more relaxed tone from the very beginning. You got no clue who I am (and I won't tell you), so you can stop the 'teaching' right now. Nice that you also - now that it's mainstream - have discovered reggae for yourself, but you have to be aware that such channels are visited by cats who promoted reggae for many decades on continents where it was not known before. For me, I'm out of reggae - since the mainstream people have taken over a few years ago. Enjoy what we have made big.
@@edgarupwongsa6248 you sound like you forgot to take your chill pills this morning, and you can stay anonymous (we all know you are Bob Marley's second coming or maybe Tosh)
He voice wow ❤
Lovely tune!

I love this true jah love
[27 July 2023] Selah. It is, indeed, a true sweet Jah-love song. One of the Wailers' greatest spiritual songs, I would say❤💛💚.
Never seen this label b4 that's sick
It is so old that even on the label the band is called the Whalers (People who catch whales) instead of the Wailers (people who cry and moan).
TUFF GONG

Was this not written by Peter Tosh?
No, Marley.
Yes, Peter Tosh wrote this song, but Marley sang it first.
Peter later sang it under a different title "Fool's Die".

The music is an ancestor of reggae called rocksteady and believe me it does fit the vocals
