He also used her music in his Haute Couture FW 20/21 show. I just finished watching Twigs L’École interview. I love how she was just calling Pierpaolo to design custom looks for her and he insisted she perform at his show, she really is his favourite. How sweet!

FKA twigs is a force, period. Such a great move by Valentino. I'm not sure how you make some of the top models in the world a background piece to your performance, but FKA twigs turned the tables and did just that. This is art. Stunning performance.
The dancers and their performance was truly magical and mesmerizing. Not sure if it helped showcase the few pieces that were shown on camera. The dancers were more captivating than the models. There’s got to be a way to blend the two so both standout. To put so much work and talent in the fashions and have it not standout is sad. The dancers were truly awesome. Very interesting show.
well obviously you're watching a video showcasing the performance with the fashion in the background. there is another video that showcases the designs with the performance in the background. Honestly, I think it works pretty well cohesively. There are lots of repetitive and slow movements in the dancing that allow you to look away without missing much. the music is sublime

That was the first time in history. I watched a fashion show from start to finish that I actually enjoyed and would’ve loved to be there in person. Not just to experience what it’s like to be at a fashion show for the first time and see all those beautiful clothes designs. But of course, to watch her perform because that was really an amazing performance. I like performances like that, where you can see the artistry, and all the hard work that they put into the performance. It’s my type of style of dancing. At one point during one of the songs before she actually got the microphone, there are these poses that she was doing that reminded me of different behaviors of birds, like flamingos. It was hands-down, the best fashion show I’ve ever seen, and I’ve only ever seen bits and pieces of fashion shows because they always end up being this crazy thing of all these designers trying to outdo each other, at lleast that’s how I look at fashion shows. I was also where are the clothes, some of them I thought were really amazing that I could wear to certain events and gatherings. Usually I only see the clothes as ridiculous nonsense that someone created that I could never wearing real life.
Ngl, I was baffled in the beginning…but then suddenly I felt so inspired and saw a rebirthing and grounding and coming into one’s self message….and then the fashion came out and it felt like each model also had a story just like the dancers. What a profound combination of so many art forms to create something even better.
This is art in its purest form. FKA puts the ART in artist. So divine, I felt this so deep within. And when she started singing, just so otherworldly. I’m also quite literally obsessed with her never ending evolution as an artist, she is so expressive and specific within her creation. Mind blown.
