There are a lot of Sri Lankan students who are doing Bachelors and Masters in IT and CS at the University of Toronto and University of British Columbia. I did my Masters in CS at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
I have just Completed my Bachelors in Electrical And Electronic Engineering. My IELTS Score is 6.5 ( L:6.5, R: 5.5, W: 6.5, S: 6.5). Am I eligible to enroll for the Masters of applied science in Electrical and Computer Science Engineering in U ottawa?? Please response 🙏
@@tejaskhare99 last I Checked in their website few days ago. According to the individual course eligibility they said an overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 5.5 to submit the application form.
Hi Tejas I will be applying for MS in Computer Science in Canada in 2022 and my current CGPA is 8.1. In addition to that I also don't have a research paper, so could you please suggest some universities that might be suitable for me. Also could you please guide me as to how to get started in publishing research papers? Thank you!
Hi Ritik, which year are you in currently? I'll assume you are starting your 4th year. That said you might have one sem to make a difference in your CGPA. So I'll recommend try to increase ur cgpa as much as possible.
For research or publishing a paper, I'll suggest pick a specific topic for example NLP or computer vision. Find out any existing problems which can be solved with these topics and then either u can propose or give a "novel" solution to it. Now u just need to find the right conference to present ur paper in.
@@tejaskhare99 Thank you so much for the help! But I just wanted to know that even if I am able to maintain a CGPA near to 8, which all universities could be my safe picks?
Hi actually I'm not the right person to give suggestions on gre because I only got decent scores but yeah for quant do Manhattan 5lb thoroughly then pick other sets of questions which are more difficult. For TOEFL you can watch my video
Hi, I have also done BE in electronics and communication I want to do my masters in computer science I was told I cannot apply for MS in CS cause I'm from electronics and communication background Can you tell me how to go about with it?
Hi, it's not true that u can't change fields. You can definitely apply for CS given that you have the necessary requirements posted by the University on the website. You also need some background in computer science related subjects or projects. This vid will help you further - ruclips.net/video/Ybr7wrGL2do/видео.html

So only by judging your CGPA I can't say for sure because there are many factors the unis consider like work exp, research, lor, sop etc
