We've had big snowstorms in the first week of April, pretty routinely. I'm in zip code 03588 and I'm betting we'll be disappointed with clouds and no clear view.
This is my favorite channel ever since I became a mailman. I honestly never gave that much thought about the weather, then I started walking 14-20 miles outside every day... Now I watch weather youtubers. What a weird trip my life took.
I was in the food industry for a long time and my mental health has never been better than working for USPS. Sure there are things that could be run better and management (Not even at local level but like the higher higher ups) could be more with the times and not pay a 2015 salary in 2023, but, as far as the job? I get to be outside and in my own space, no co workers, my success depends on me doing my job correctly and nothing else, when I clock out for the night I dont have to take any work home with me and I dont have to think about work ever until the next day when I clock in....@@randomness3362
I'm in Canada about 25 minutes away from the Walhalla border crossing. Looking forward to snow this year. Summer has been a bummer. Sooner it snows the sooner all this wild fire smoke stops. I hope we get lots
@@TJ-id6ee yeah this summer has been non stop smoke. Where I'm at in manitoba there wasn't any fires but the smoke from bc and other provinces was constant. Snow will be a welcomed sight honestly.
First snow in the midwest can be crazy. I've seen winters where it's green until the end of january, I've seen heavy snow half way through october that's gone by Halloween. I've seen winters that are just near constant ice storms without much snow. Last few years have been pretty tame though. I wouldn't mind a bit of a crazier winter cause this autumn has been hot as hell.
I would really like to see a 3 month look for weather for temps and snow in the central area. Mn ,SD,Wi. ND . Can change so much in 50 miles. For real Is there any way can get a better outlook? Thank you.
Yes I live in Wisconsin and I agree with u 100% the last couple winters has been Ice storms,no snow till January sometimes seems like it all the time so used too having a green Christmas.Snow what Snow 😂😂😂😂😂
September 30th- October 1st....snow on the Wasatch mountain range. White peaks, golden aspens, crimson scrub oak, bright blue skies, and just a few big white puffy clouds. God is a genious!
I feel you. In my neck of the woods it's been hot and humid for most of the spring and summer (and fall even), and now that autumn heat wave is gonna be hitting me in a couple days as well. I am beyond ready for winter.
Ditto. Commented on one of his videos a few weeks ago about how here in Canton, TX I hadn't had rain since June 24th. Finally got a few decent storms but it wasn't until Sept. 14th It was a brutal 2 months.
I remember having snow ball fights on Superstition Mountains down in Southern AZ. I can't believe we were able to be there on the mountain that day. I'm from the upper Midwest but my local friends weren't used to seeing snow that far South. It was one of those days when I actually felt alive, before parenting, and the next two decades of economic distress would soak into the American economy. Good grief life has been unbelievably difficult.
Yes lots of snow on the Superstitions last Winter. It was really cool to see! So stinking hot here in the summer then to get snow like that always amazes me!
Bro, you have kids? I have wanted to be a parent pretty much my whole life but the clock is ticking and I'm eating biscuits for dinner and watching weather RUclips. Please go hug your kids.
Well Ryan, its a little past 10:33 pm on Jan 3rd 2024, and there is no snow at the Parthenon in Nashville TN, hope next years prediction will be spot on
Being in central Saskatchewan and having years were ya have to get a costume two or three sizes bigger to accommodate a parka for Halloween. This prediction is justifiably a good idea for when we may have snow, in recent years we have seen snow within the first week of November, but if this is accurate then we will see it closer to December. Shorter winter just means less feeding of the livestock.
I lived through those blizzards that hit Baltimore, Maryland. While you provided damage totals, I was here to witness how neighbors came together to assist each other when the big dig happened. Disasters may be determined by a number, but it brings the best people together to help others who are in need.
I am in Baltimore county and during that snowfall, most of my neighbors were cool except for my next door neighbor. He was a total asshole. Mr.SnowNazi, telling everybody what to do and how to shovel snow, and didn't help a MFer. If he starts his $hit again this year, I may have to wear out his skull with my shovel, lol. I'm cool with a few inches of snow several times during the winter (like it was about 5 years ago) but PLEASE no friggin blizzards!!
And we haven't had beans for snow in the area since 2016 (which was the only snow we had that year), and nothing at all last year. I'm in "I'll believe it when I see it" mode at this point.
I am 13 years old, and I love weather. sadly, this year I don't think I will have much snow because of the strong El-Nino. I live right under Lake Michigan and live in Indiania. Thank you for being my weather man for the past 4 years!
Grab a notebook and write down your predictions and why. Then today as you get closer to winter and update as necessary. Tracking what you thought would happen helps you learn. It's great to have you here. Good luck.
I'm a proud 'weather weenie'! My husband was a full time farmer, so I got used to checking the weather multiple times a day. Three years after his death, I still check the weather a couple of times a day. The eclipse is going to be amazing! I'll have to add the October eclipse to my calendar. We are in the path of total solar eclipse for April. I work at a university and we are getting glasses with the university logo. Can't wait to see it.
@aellyks hahaha!! No. I thought about it many times, but no. You know how it is when you're married for decades. We were married for 34 years. I woke up to get ready for work and found him on the floor. He'd fallen asleep on the couch the night before and was actually resting, so I left him there. He was a big man- over 350 lb. I think he rolled off the couch in his sleep and couldn't get up, then his weight suffocated him. It sounds horrible, but he always wanted to go in his sleep. For the last three years, I've been struggling to keep our acreage and home. He had no life insurance and a lot of debt. Luckily, I've been able to pay a lot of it down by selling off equipment that we don't use and other items he 'collected'. Also, I'm renting the acreage. It took a while to get used to living alone, but most of my family lives close by and stops in often.
I was able to experience the solar eclipse in Chattanooga, TN in 2017. It was amazing and I was fortunate to have a great nurse while I was hospitalized recovering from some serious injuries. She came in and gently moved me to a wheelchair and whisked me outside to see it.
I experienced the 2017 total solar eclipse in Fenton, MO. HINT: ensure you pick a location that has no lights that will turn on with the sun outage. Total dark skies is what you want to experience for the full effect.
I had an awful experience. It felt as my skin was on fire. Idk. Maybe due to living too close to towers. I literally couldn't get back in my house fast enough..
@whysix3417 I live south of Nashville, and we didn't get any snow last year besides a little one day in December. If we don't get any before January, 2023 will have been a year without any snow.
I lived in Middle Tennessee during the last solar eclipse and while looking at the sun with those glasses is cool and all, not one person I was with noticed the crazy shadows the eclipse cast of the trees and leaves, and anything else. Shadows of normal stuff you don’t ever pay attention to become altered by the eclipse and was by far the most interesting aspect for me.
It was so cool! Little crescents!! And the cicadas came out bc it got darker, did their singing/screaming, and then the sun came back out again and they stopped. False alarm, everyone. Shut up! 🤣🌔🌓🌗🌖
I just hope we get more snow in Iowa than we have been recently. I feel like the past few years we've had next to no snow, but not even 15-20 years ago, when i was a kid, we had at least a couple feet throughout most of the winter, and usually had a pretty good chance of a white Christmas.
I got my solar eclipse glasses and phone covers ordered thanks Ryan. I already got my vacation set and we're going to be doing some camping in the Texas Hill Country during April
I live in Michigan and if we can make it past October 31st before we see our first snow then it's generally a good winter. Any time within the first 2 weeks of November is perfectly normal.
We had a REALLY bad ice storm like a year ago last year. And it weakened the trees. Even this past winter we had a few bad ice storms that weekend the trees more and caused a LOT of tree damage over this past spring and summer.
In South Jersey it's pretty darn rare to have a white christmas. Our first snow doesn't usually happen until January. Prior to that you might get some flurries or maybe a coating to an inch. Having the white stuff not come down until after the holidays is always a good thing in my book. The Jet Stream seems to always land on something we call "The I-95 corridor" Year after year, most winters, oddly enough the jet stream hovers around this highway divide which can make or break snow fall in our area. Fingers crossed that the Jet Stream stays 20 miles higher than usual this year.
I grew up just east of the 1-95 corridor in Woodbridge. I live a few miles west of it in Morris County now. There definitely seems to be a "jackpot" zone right here. Every big winter storm, we win.
@Novaximus I live sort of in Central Jersey if there is such a thing - 136 GSP - I am 61 and can't remember a white Christmas. And we're going to have 3 days in the 80s this coming week 😂😂😂
adirondack observatory in Tupper Lake NY is having an April 8 eclispe party, the whole town is to..we have a super spot!! come have fun in the middle of the Adirondacks~sure to be a hoot !! love your channel!
The last solar eclipse we had when I was still working was very special. The supervisor ordered a picnic luncheon and we all sat outside awaiting the eclipse. Get all your friends/co-workers together and celebrate this phenomenon together.❤
In 2003 I lived in Kittredge, CO, and we got 7 feet of snow. Everyone's power went out for days, the plows didn't get to us for over a week. By the time they got there, most of the townsfolk came together and dug almost everyone out. People were cross country skiing 2 miles over to Evergreen for groceries.
As an OTR truck driver, I was saved by Ryan's coverage, more than once!!! He is much more accurate than the meteorologist 'weather' guys (and gals). I truly believe they just look out the window, and tell you what they see at that moment. Ryan and his teams are absolutely STELLAR!!! 🥰🥰
Thank you for all that you do to transport goods. It's a hard job with sometimes challenging driving situations. Wishing you smooth roads and no traffic jams.
Decades ago we had a weatherman here in Dallas who admitted he never forecast snow here until he saw the first flake. People will get so angry here if you forecast snow and it doesn’t happen.
This is quite accurate for recent times! As a kid, there was always snow on the ground by Halloween in my area of Minnesota. Now it's definitely coming later and later. One year in the mid/late Twenty-Teens, we didn't see snow until December! Melting is happening earlier and earlier, too. Used to hang around well into May, but now sometimes it's gone by March. I hate snow, but I can certainly tell that it's deeply affecting things, as it's getting more droughty due to lack of snow during the winters.
@rainlupine-You aren't kidding! I live in Michigan and when I was child, back in the 60s, we had heavy snow by the 1st of November and it lasted till well into april or may. But, around the beginning of the 80s things began to change. We got less & less snow here.( on east side of state). And it would melt alot earlier, too. Last year was really, really weird weatherwise. Had one snow storm in middle of Nov, got warm & melted. Then way warm till middle of Feb., again snow storm again & again melted right away. I've lived here for close to 70 yrs and is the 1st time I've beem able to were shoes through all of December & most of Feb.!! Now, I'm woundering what this winter will be like.
Cfryling7781-I also, live in Michigan, but on the East side, close to the Saiginaw Bay. We rarely get lake effect snow here. But, the west side is another matter. I had a sister who lived NorthWest of Kalamazoo. We visited her on several occasions, in the winter.( And you are correct, it sucks to drive in that lake effect snow! (Once went down there 2 days before Xmas to visit. Then Xmas Eve drove hrs to my other sister up north further. Unfortunately,my sister & boyfriend sent us through the back roads. Those roads around by her are very hillly & filled with alot of curves! Well, we were driving in whiteout spots every so often, in lake effect snow. Came around a bend and couldn't see the road for all the snow. When the whiteout cleared, we saw we were on the wrong side of the 3 lane highway we were on. And comming sraight at us was a semi truck! We barely were able to pull back in tp the other lane in time. It was white knockle driving the rest of the way! When we got to my other sisters, my younger sister called to see if we got there akay. We told her to nevet ever send us that way im winter!! Do, I know where you are coomming from, on lwke effect snow!
We usually get major lake effect snow in Western NY (south of Buffalo). Last few years have been strange. Not much snow. We used to get 275-300 inches a season. Last year we just broke 100 inches. That's nothing for us.
We’ve been seeing less and less snow over the years here in the Omaha metro area. For the most part of the winter it’s just been insanely cold, dry, and windy. Like the last few years have hit record freezing temps with wind chill. I expect the future will just follow that trend and we’ll see less and less snow and dangerously cold temperatures.
Same here in NY. We haven't seen more than 1 inch of snow in over 6 years, and that 1 inch of snow only lasts about a day or a few hours until in melts. On top of that just 7-8 years ago we used to get 4 feet of snow yearly so I'm not sure what happened but at least we don't have to shovel as much snow anymore!
@@kermitsjuicyjuicy3763 a few years ago we had wind chill so cold that all of the diesel lines in the city froze up. We couldn’t refuel most of our ambulances because of it 😅
Here in Philly the past few years we haven't had that much snow. This past winter no snow at all. The year before that the first measurable snow was in March. The yr before that was just as snowless. I really think Philly and the Mid-Atlantic is going to get walloped with at least two big storms.
That is a fascinating forecast, because you're describing the exact conditions that existed here in Washington state when I got up here the first time for work in 2017, and that year as well I watched a solar eclipse and the winter was very, very mild. Meanwhile, back in Texas it was incredibly wet, making your words seemingly quite prophetic?
I live in Prince Edward Island, Canada. We expect a good dump of snow every winter and we're never disappointed . We're still talking about the winter of 2016. The snow started in mid January and continued to fall until the end of March. I remember seeing residual piles of snow in the Walmart car park in early June. I hope we dont get a repeat performance this year😮
I live near Mt. Diablo, Ca. We saw snow up on the mountain last year. Maybe we will get some this year as well. Thanks to you & Andy and all your team for all the information you give about weather. I've been a weather geek for as long as I can remember. I love them clouds!😂
Ryan you just cracked me up in the end of this video!! We live in Arkansas so I would certainly rather have snow than tornadoes as our house got hit in 2019 and now we are glued to your videos anytime we have even a hint of a possibility of a tornado. You are the best weatherman ever!!
Oh my lord! Ryan you were very corrected about our first snow event. I live in central Virginia and our first snow event was December 11, 2023 (between Dec 1 - Dec 15). Awesome job and great prediction🫡👌🏾
Had 34° F here in Lowville, NY last week already with a slight frost! Great video, I’ve been looking forward to this video all week! Keep up the good work!!!
@@CamerenreynoldsLowville is in the black river valley between Tug Hill and the Adirondack Mountains, and right in lake Ontario's snowbelt. Its also in an absolutely beautiful corner of the country. Lowville or atleast Jefferson & Lewis Counties are probably going to get hammered by lake effect again this year, a hot summer means the lakes are going to be hot late into fall and winter.
SLC typically sees its first snow in early Nov (not late Nov as the map showed). Our first snow last year was Oct 23rd and the last snow happened a week into April. Definitely a long, active winter that dropped 90” in the city and 900” in the mountains when all was said and done. Hoping for another good one! 🙏
I live a bit south of SLC and there’s already snow in the mountains (I even saw the slightest amount of frost up there one morning in early September, so that gave me a sign lol).
I'm in a green zone but our woolly caterpillars are all black this fall. Gonna be a cold winter even if it only snows in January. 🎶 I'm a Weather Weenie 🎶
Here on the third coast, along the western shores of Michigami (meaning “big water” in Anishinaabemowin), we never know what El Niño might bring. I hope our winter is warm, even if that means it's wet. Sometimes those southern storms drag a Polar Vortex down on us. Always a surprise

October 25th... first one inch of snow on pavement in North Central MA. Temps will support it during the overnight hours and the straight up trains of rain we've been getting will continue... they'll meet up on a very cold Oct 25th early morning and produce enough snowfall to get pavement coverage... if only until the Sun rises.

Hey Ryan, snowfall has yet to happen here in Nashville…so that Jan 3 prediction was a no go 👎🏻 However thanks for keeping us safe during the recent tornados 👊🏻
Although we got almost no snowpack last winter in MA, I think we made up for it w/heavy rainfall here in the NE (flooding everywhere). As a result, I'm totally okay w/a mild winter here and a later snowfall so I can keep surfing in warmer water through Dec.❄️ *April 8, 2024 - Total Solar Eclipse.🕶️ Got it!
For a decade in central Ohio, our first measurable snows have been the first week of APRIL. We basically haven't had a real winter for 10 years; more like long autumns. P.S. I'm from Minnesota so I know what winter is.
Well that is not how they would measure that. That would be considered your last snow of the winter season. The winter seasons run into the next year. 2021-2022, 2022-2023 and so on. Soooooooooo
Im in north Dakota we had 106 inches storm after storm for 2 past years what did he say about North Dakota winter fall starting? We are still having rain storm you know thats not normal
What do you talk about during a Snowathon stream though? NWS just slaps a huge warning area and the people hunker down with a fire and hot chocolate while watching the snow fall. Then the trucks clear the snow in a day or three and everybody goes about their day. Maybe during the snowathon Mr. Hall could review past storms, the y'all squad sings some songs, and the chat plays a huge multiplayer game of some sort?
I live in the eastern UP of Michigan and I am quite excited for a warmer winter. We get slammed up here in the Sault all the time, and it will be nice to have a bit of a break.
I bought a heated jacket a few years ago.. right when it pretty much stopped snowing as much as the year before I bought it. I’ve only worn it like 10 times since xD Hoping I can actually use it this season, since it was nearly $200.
@@lynncantrell2782well that's 3 inches more than I've ever seen. NEVER SNOWS HERE IN FLORIDA. Only seen a very small amount of snow in my life while on vacation. Never even had a chance to have enough snow to build a snowman before or even a snowball really. So sad
@@billybob-ro6qf it’s rare but it does snow in Florida. My dad was born and raised in West palm Beach and he told me that they had 4 inches when he was 12
I'm near to both of the solar eclipses in Texas. I'm not excited by cold weather in Texas, but I wasn't thrilled about the 108 degree temps we had here in the summer. The ground temp was 160 degrees. The wood deck was 144; the top of my table saw under a tent was 200! So I'm behind in my project.
I remember the huge snow storm of 2016. I was a junior highschool, and my car was completely buried under 3+ feet of snow in south central PA, below Harrisburg. Genuinely, I love the snow and I wish we got more of it. Hopefully this year we get a lot because last year we got (2) dustings and that was it.
I live in SW Wyoming and the weather has been beautiful, had some rain over night and its chilly today but no snow. The forcast over the next 10 days has temps in the 60's.
Ryan, I have a request re: the eclipses in October and April. I'm in the right place to see one, and plan to travel for the other, but I'm super worried that we'll get nerfed by cloud cover, especially the one in April, and then we'll have a ton of folks scrambling for the nearest place with clearer weather if their planned location is overcast. Would you consider doing cloud cover predictions leading up to the days of the eclipses, and/or coverage on the days of the eclipses for the best weather conditions along the totality band? Not at the expense of your own eclipse plans, I expect you may be driving a bit to see the April one since it's decently nearby for you (I think? Kentucky, right?), but maybe just an informal update from the road that morning or something like that? Thanks!
Here in northern Virginia our big storm years are not necessarily El Nino winters but winters with a negative NAO. That's what I watch for. 93 was more of an ice storm for us with several inches of ice with the snow. 96 was a monster with waist deep snow in the DC area. 99 was bad as well and 2002 we had a lot of frequent snowstorms.
Yea I've been in NoVa since 1978, we had some bad ones back in those days. I remember once driving to work in DC then getting sent home and not getting home till night time...8 hours stuck on roads, back when you got out and pushed cars to unblock the roads lol But we had a big one within past 10 years or so I remember over 3', I'm in Leesburg now, but spent 30 years in Clifton in Fairfax Co.
Yeah I was coming out of Jessup md coming around loop Trying to get on 66 and get out of the mess I drove big truck up there every day or other day Nc to jessup
@@MG-ot2yr I know exactly where Clifton is! Clifton Day is coming up real soon. I remember when we arrived to the region in 87 there was a bad snowstorm that started in the early afternoon. I was in elementary school in PG county. It was so bad the busses had to turn around and go back to the school and my classmates had to stay overnight I later found out. My dad had already picked me up from school. We had just come from Washington state and we had a 4x4 which wasn't real common in the DC area at the time.
2010 was also a storm I remember more for the timing of it. Lots of people got stranded on the road at 3pm. The snow came down so heavy that I was shoveling right behind my friend and I was picking up snow too. I know one dad who missed the birth of his second child because he got stuck on the GW parkway. Mom hung out at the hospital that morning just in case because it was very close to her due date.
I’m a union electrician from Chicago and I’m glad I tune in, cuz I work outside in the elements sometimes and I know what to expect and get my gear ready for work
Hi Ryan! We are in the path for the total solar eclipse here in central Texas in April. For those wanting to travel to see it, book your hotel reservations sooner rather than later. City officials where i live are projecting anywhere from 700,000 to 1 million visitors in our city alone. I can't imagine what other city officials are projecting for those towns in the path of totality. School districts are even canceling classes for April 8th! Make your plans now! It's going to be exciting! 😊
1/2 inches what wusses.....we usually get way more from November on in Colorado.. Snow is beautiful...especially cold powder and great to ski...hate too wet snow that compacts into ice

Yippee 🎉. I’m in Nashville and love me some snow 🎈🎊. You’re the only one I rely on for weather predictions lol. Don’t even turn on local news cuz you’re more accurate ⭐️. Our puppies will see their first snow this winter 🥶
Just watched this on RUclips for the first time today. In my opinion, I think that as a meteorologist you're definitely the best & the most reliable. Both you, Andy Hill and Brian Shields of the Mr. Weatherman channel on RUclips. If I were to watch The Weather Channel again as opposed to occasionally, I would definitely see either you or Brian Shields on the Weather Channel, but not Andy Hill, no hard feelings, along with other meteorologists on the Weather Channel like in the years past, like Rebecca Stevenson, Chris Warren and Jim Cantorie, just to name a few. That would be interesting to see, but then again, that's just me, just my imagination. Again, thank you & both Andy Hill and Brian Shields for all that you do and keeping us safe & updated on the weather (Don't be scared, be prepared) here in the US and up here in Washington state, thank you and God bless 🙂👍🙏💒🌎📺⛅️⛈️🌦🌧🌨☃️❄️⛱️☔️🌀🌬🌫🌪🌩.
@shane727 Hmm, let me think. Yes, I did. I noticed that he missed & that he didn't mention the massive rain & floods in New York City. But, who or what am I to point fingers at him for missing it and not mentioning the massive rain & flooding in New York City. I only learned about it after watching it online from The Weather Channel. IF & I mean it, IF it was THAT important, I'm sure that either he, Andy Hill, or Brian Shields probably mention it in the next Weather report. In the meantime, I'll keep them in my thoughts and prayers, though 🙂👍🙏💒🌎📺⛅️⛈️🌦🌧🌨☃️❄️⛱️☔️🌀🌬🌫🌪🌩.
I live in Colorado in a weather anomaly. Rarely snows here and is usually very dry even in the winter and maybe especially in the winter. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
The 2023-24 winter season in the US is expected to be different due to El Nino. This weather phenomenon will amplify the southern jet stream, causing significant snowstorms in the southern US. The impact of El Nino will vary across the country, but it is likely to keep the North and Northwest colder and drier, while the South and East will be wetter and warmer. The timing of the first snowfall will also be affected by El Nino. Areas in the green and light blue regions may not see snow at all or only experience sporadic snowfall in January or February. The darker blue region typically sees the first snowfall after December 15th or before December 30th, while the light purple zone sees snowfall between December 1st and December 15th. The darker shade of purple indicates that a large area of the US will see snowfall between November 16th and December 1st, while the pink zone experiences snowfall between November 1st and November 16th. The final gray zone indicates that snow can occur as early as October 2nd. However, these are just historical averages, and the El Nino pattern means that the timing and amount of snowfall may vary significantly from these averages.

It’s crazy where the wind takes ya, I’m at ups right now after working 5 years of retail management and I couldn’t be happier
The smoke was bad in southern MN for most of late spring early summer for a while, more air quality alerts than I’ve been through
I hope you guys get a ton of snow.
I hear ya, I'm in Washington and it was a horrible fire season up in BC. My friend lost their house in Kelowna not too long ago. Really scary!

February and March in central Minnesota saw a ton of snow ❄️
This sounds like something my friend in Wisconsin tells me about 😂
The past 2 years in oklahoma have had snow in late february. Only problem with that is warm weather takes forever to get here.
Sitting here in the "Autumn heat wave" following the unusually brutal summer heat wave, I'm definitely ready for a little winter.
Come on up to Michigan, we've had a beautiful summer this year.
im up North of the Dakota's Border in Canada. We didnt have summer here yet ... Luckily being in the brown, no early snow.
I'm in Texas. Absolutely brutal this year
I remember having snow ball fights on Superstition Mountains down in Southern AZ.
Life has taken a lot from all of us. We need to remember that sometimes. We are all going thru it

The '03 blizzard in Maryland was sooo much fun as a kid. We tunneled under the snow and had forts with windows for launching snowballs
Glad you have good neighbors and neighborhood. Older lady here get plowed in with zero help. City plows cover the driveway end of road
I predict another winter of ‘93-‘94, which was groundbreaking.
And we haven't had beans for snow in the area since 2016 (which was the only snow we had that year), and nothing at all last year. I'm in "I'll believe it when I see it" mode at this point.
Maryland has no blizzards ...just wimpy people too afraid of snow to be reliable
Good luck.
Same here. Northern Indiana

I want a white Christmas in Philly. It’s been such a long time. I haven’t seen one since I was a child, I’m 22 now and I want snow.
1st snow today in UT. In the higher elevations of course!
I was able to experience the solar eclipse in Chattanooga, TN in 2017. It was amazing and I was fortunate to have a great nurse while I was hospitalized recovering from some serious injuries. She came in and gently moved me to a wheelchair and whisked me outside to see it.
I got to see it in Nashville, it was absolutely amazing
I experienced the 2017 total solar eclipse in Fenton, MO. HINT: ensure you pick a location that has no lights that will turn on with the sun outage. Total dark skies is what you want to experience for the full effect.
Yes North Dakota always has snow by now!!! When i was 9 we didn't get snow until Christmas then once we didn't have snow this is not normal for us!

We get an ice storm in West TN every 20 years. It varies in intensity but happens around mid-late January. Our last one was in 2004.
Our last one in west TN was last year. We were iced in for over 3 days with zero degree temps
Yikes!
We had a REALLY bad ice storm like a year ago last year. And it weakened the trees. Even this past winter we had a few bad ice storms that weekend the trees more and caused a LOT of tree damage over this past spring and summer.
Didn’t you get the historic ice storm of 2009? I thought it hit several states. I live in Kentucky and we lost power for over a month with that storm

Decades ago we had a weatherman here in Dallas who admitted he never forecast snow here until he saw the first flake. People will get so angry here if you forecast snow and it doesn’t happen.
And he reports it without the DRAMA & theatrics. I love his way of reporting.

Here's to having a baby during an El Nino winter.
I live in Denver, and we haven’t got snow yet, and there is no snow forecast for 10 days . . . And tomorrow is October second. . .

Here in Philly the past few years we haven't had that much snow. This past winter no snow at all. The year before that the first measurable snow was in March. The yr before that was just as snowless. I really think Philly and the Mid-Atlantic is going to get walloped with at least two big storms.
I live in the greater Nashville area (Lebanon), and unfortunately, we did not have the first snow you predicted. I’m not mad about it though! 😅
I hope we dont get a repeat performance this year😮

@@geegaw1535 Yup, one of the coolest parts of eclipses! Colanders also have a really cool effect with tons of little eclipse projections.
Who else is ready for hoodies 😄
Hoodie weather is best weather!
Last year was just weirdly windy fr 😅
2016 was my grad year though 😢
Your car is only 3ft tall? Wow.
I live in SW Wyoming and the weather has been beautiful, had some rain over night and its chilly today but no snow. The forcast over the next 10 days has temps in the 60's.
I appreciate your work. Thank you for sharing ❤
Ryan is truly the Most Accurate weather forecaster and the most enjoyable to watch. Y’all😊
Ryan, I have a request re: the eclipses in October and April.
Mom hung out at the hospital that morning just in case because it was very close to her due date.
lived in florida and never got to see snow in person, but will see it for the first time on november when its my first time going out of florida
Nah come to Colorado better scenery and not the oppressive heat and humidity. Less couch potatos to
Hope we don’t have another of those horrible 1/2” snowstorms here in Charlotte. Traffic was so tied up.
1/2 inches what wusses.....we usually get way more from November on in Colorado..
Snow is beautiful...especially cold powder and great to ski...hate too wet snow that compacts into ice
This dude might not be the most accurate weather man in the history of weather men (although I think he probably is) but he is definitely more entertaining than any of those guys.
Nope neither
Weather weenie here. Tornadoes in the south, snow in Wyoming. It's all good, baby.
Did you notice how he completely missed the massive rain and floods in NYC and then doesn't mention it?
@@scottbrockman5883 you said that he's "definitely the best and most reliable"
I live in Colorado in a weather anomaly. Rarely snows here and is usually very dry even in the winter and maybe especially in the winter. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
obviously fake news read the weather stats here LOL
Colorado had snow in September last year!!!
i’m in nashville and our snowfall happened on Jan 14 😭😭not sure about the snowflake though
I just wanna go snowmobiling in Iowa😭
Same! I live in Des Moines area and it looks like we won’t get snow until thanksgiving
Ryan is actually funny. I believe in this bold statement, who else does? lol
I don’t considering all 3 summer predictions he has made about the PNW were completely wrong.
@@Michael-uu7zq Ok! I believe you. Not everyone can be right all the time. :)
Reporting in from Bloomington, Indiana! We're in the usual Dec. 1 window (though very close to the Dec. 15 region) and we just got our first flakes tonight, Dec. 18! ~2 weeks later than usual, just as predicted!
I am in the foothills of NC it used to snow here in Nov. Early Dec. It has not snowed in 2 years at all but a few flakes.
Our mountains usually sees snow in November though. We have several ski resorts.
I wish it would snow in NC like it used to.
I love how Ryan is telling us what we need to know.
