      @jimpark8379 3 месяца назад +5

      @@Treeman1177 Respectfully disagree. Taking care of animals is a 24/7 job. They have to be fed, manure has to be shoveled, and dairy cows need to be milked twice a day in addition to all that work. Then the milking machines have to be cleaned twice a day.
      And this doesn't cover the work involved during breeding and calving season. In the agriculture industry it's pretty much universally regarded that dairy cow agriculture is the most work intensive.
      The dairy cow farmers are all universally the hardest workers and I don't think they could do what they do unless they really loved working with their animals.

    Every kid in America should experience farm life. From milking cows, to putting up hay, to cleaning calf pens with a pitchfork into an old flail spreader.
    As a "city kid", I was fortunate to do all of those things and more. Granted, I didn't have to do it 7 days a week, 365. Those times, however, instilled in me an understanding and great respect for the dedication required by those in agriculture! Years later, I worked at one of the greatest ag schools in America. Michigan State University. Some of the best years of my life!

I remember propping my feet on the back side of a Cow and pulling for all I was worth to save the Mother and the calf because it was two lives you were saving not to mention a substantial financial loss to lose a calf. Hw biggest dairy farm it is,great to see all early in the mornings work but not easy business as you have to put in your sheer hard work ,no matter hw you are feeling physically.
    Top on that is milk prices are out of your control specially if you are a small farmer leads to nothing in your hand while managing all expenses of your farm animals including medicines,supplements and storage of fodder for rainy days.
