best and easiest way to install is not going through the firewall. Run wire through gap between front fender and door. That way easy to uninstall if you ever need to ( like taking car to dealer ) Plus if firewall gasket not install correctly it will leak water into cat when it rains.
Great install explanation. Would you say it’s only worth it if you plan on running e85 or e50? How are the 93 octane maps is there even a noticeable difference?
We need an update! What did you think of the JB4 on the locked m340? Was power smooth? Could you actually feel a difference and would you recommend it to others!
It works great! Definitely feel a bump in power. Smooth power delivery. Definitely recommended. I will be doing another video testing 0-60 times and adding some E85!
@@EHOONS you are my savior! I’ve been looking for someone to do this for the longest time on a locked Ecu. Just an FYI jb4 technically voids your warranty the same amount as unlocking your Ecu. Not gonna go in to specifics but there is much evidence out there. But on the bright side it is extremely hard for bmw to prove that’s what caused the part failure so majority of the time you get covered anyway! I am in the market to get one, but I'm debating between the jb4 and Dianantronics X, there was a user that installed the jb4 in 2021 on his m340i and in the Comments he stated a CEL light came on and stated that he did everything according to the instructions and educated himself by going on RUclips and seeing how others are installing the Jb4. He said, after driving a couple of miles check engine light came on. He decided to undo the JB4 and reinstall to only have the same issues. Have you experienced any check engine lights with the JB4?
hey did you let your car go to sleep before installing the jb4, I've seen other guides that say you either need to disconnect the battery or let the car go to sleep with the hood open. its inconvenient for me to do either and would rather just install it, was wondering if you did, and if its actually important

No check engine lights. Never heard of that happening
