I don't get how he dies THAT many times and then doesnt decide to go explore the hunters dream one time out of 100. Like the game is essentially punishing you for having tunnel vision, I'm glad you saw it that way and laughed it off.
Bloodborne and God of War are the two recent games that I feel genuinely bad playing without music. I listened to Bloodborne's soundtrack yesterday, epic stuff.

Absolutely love your channel. Was genuinely buzzing to see you were covering this game and after trying it and putting it down around 7 times (literally, no ecaggeration) and then leaving it alone deciding it wasn't for me. Seeing you play this inspired me to get through it. I managed to get the Platinum on a single playthrough (using uploads for the endings) then. Then did a new game plus playthrough. I've since done the DLC, meaning starting the game from scratch again leading to just having finished the 3rd playthrough, this time in full for 100% completion and about to plunge into another NG+ playthrough. I absolutely adore the game. The art style, the gameplay, the learning curve in combat, the lore. I genuinely can't get enough of it. I don't think I would've ever gone for it if it hadn't been for this video. Your style of coverage is brilliant and I've followed the page for a while now. Superb content. Definitely quality stuff that we do see of you. Great channel.

Just pausing to say that it's not at all helpful when people bang on about the difficulty of Soulsborne games. It leads to frustrating things like Adam experience with the werewolf at the start, and many many players experiences with Dark Souls and the respawning skeletons
Same, when I first started Dark Souls Remastered I chose thief as starting class and after seeing how little damage I did to every enemy with the bandit knife, I just assumed this was part of the difficulty rather than me choosing a bad weapon. I beat the trilogy since then, and people should really stop praising Dark Souls' difficulty and praise its mechanics instead.
I kind of agree but part of the issue with the werewolf at the start was that he went straight back to gravestone rather than looking around first not entirely the games fault
agreed! The worst part of people over-exaggerating the difficulty is it puts people off of the games that would likely enjoy it, because people make them sound impossible

Adam likely had it in his head that bloodborne is meant to be so difficult, so there were no flags raised when he had no weapon and was doing shit damage, when really that should tell you that you missed something. @@haydeng3316 Still on the player, ive been experienced with the souls games when i first played it and the pathetic damage and the fact i was fighting with my bare fists were a huge red flag that something was wrong, same thing happened with my friends whos first entry to the soulsbourne series was bloodbourne. The solution isnt for the game to handhold

I feel like these videos are peak examples of seeing somebody overcome overwhelming odds and come out the other end feeling achieved. I love how unlike other youtubers where they usually have a giant scream whenever they FINALLY beat a boss, you react how I feel most of us would. I had more problem with Amygdala after getting past the Watchdog pretty easily... but that Amygdala fight took me over a year of coming back to the game every month to try again.
@@AdamMcDermott Please play the DLC with music. It only plays it in boss fight and muting that in you footage Is really easy. It really is a shame, because especially the DLC has amazing boss soundtracks.

It was really fun that you included your learning curve at the beginning! Though in contrast seeing almost nothing else of the game felt weird. Watchdog of the Old Lords was also my hardest boss. 6 hours. And I didn't know that the Moon Prescence had a Numbing Mist effect. That makes the 1hp attack a bit more threatening. Congrats on the Platinum!

It was a tough one for me as this was my first souls like game and had no idea what I was letting myself in for. Luckily its a rewarding game that makes you want to follow through to the end. I love seeing someone experiencing Bloodborne for the first time, it such a joy. I was wondering if you have ever considered playing the DLC, thats were (in my opinion) the game truly shines. The bosses overall are considered way harder & the new weapons in the DLC are just phenomenal. I highly recommend playing it ;)

Funny thing, after watching the video it made me want to go back and platinum it also. I actually got it yesterday. What a great game and one of my favorite games to platinum. Keep up the great work, and I can’t wait to see what other games are in store for your platinum journey.
This brings back so many memories for me - both frustration and victory. Those first few minutes, just looking for a weapon...and the dungeon fatigue is real. I didn't plan to platinum Bloodborne but by the time I got to the end (for the first time) I was so into it I just wanted to keep going. I wound up getting the platinum on my third run. Still my favorite of all of the "souls-like" games for its mood and atmosphere.
I have never got platinum on any game, but I've always wanted to. Your dedication is inspiring, and your good nature makes it seem like it comes easy! You deserve so many more subscribers

It was my 12th plat, but the first one I had decided to go for in years and it was such an amazing experience finally getting it.
Darksouls 3 was my first platinum
Bloodborne is a very easy game to platinum due to the total amonut of trophies being very low.
I haven't platinumed it yet because I just refuse to do the chalice dungeons, such a huge flaw in an otherwise brilliant game.

@@AdamMcDermott Please play the DLC with music. It only plays it in boss fight and muting that in you footage Is really easy. It really is a shame, because especially the DLC has amazing boss soundtracks.

It was really fun that you included your learning curve at the beginning! Though in contrast seeing almost nothing else of the game felt weird.
Watchdog of the Old Lords was also my hardest boss. 6 hours.
And I didn't know that the Moon Prescence had a Numbing Mist effect. That makes the 1hp attack a bit more threatening.

Thanks. I cut out a lot of the rest of the main game because the video would only get repetitive showing boss after boss after boss. Wanted to be selective, video still ended up being huge.

It was a tough one for me as this was my first souls like game and had no idea what I was letting myself in for. Luckily its a rewarding game that makes you want to follow through to the end. I was wondering if you have ever considered playing the DLC, thats were (in my opinion) the game truly shines. The bosses overall are considered way harder & the new weapons in the DLC are just phenomenal.

This brings back so many memories for me - both frustration and victory. Those first few minutes, just looking for a weapon...and the dungeon fatigue is real. I didn't plan to platinum Bloodborne but by the time I got to the end (for the first time) I was so into it I just wanted to keep going. I wound up getting the platinum on my third run. Still my favorite of all of the "souls-like" games for its mood and atmosphere.
