Sometimes, you may get power early chains to correct misalignment, crooked teeth, or malocclusion. Though every patient may not need power chains, it's very common in orthodontic treatment. Whether you need to wear the elastic chain depends on the types of cases.

I got my power chain on my top teeth yesterday
It felt really tight then they were doing it, but it was bearable
Then 30 mins later my teeth were super sore
They hurt more than getting braces put on
Id never felt that kind of pain before, it was horrible
But.. it’s been 1 day and they still do hurt however I feel the pain slowly going
So it takes at least 2 days for the pain to go but the good thing is that I had a gap, and it’s had almost closed in 1 day!!
Idk how but I think it’s worth the pain
i just got my power chain yesterday, and today my mom just bought my favorite fried chicken, and im having a hard time eating it, cuz my teeth hurt so bad😭😭😭😭😭
I got my power chains on a few days ago and it hasn’t been super painful for me. Idk why but it’s not. Tylenol and motrin taken together has helped.
My powerchains hurt so much just got them on today. Can’t wait till my next appointment thought bc I know once they take this off it’s going to feel so good and loose .

I usually remove the power chains by using an explorer to remove the bottom band (top) and upper (lower) and then using a hemostat on the 6’s or 7’s which ever tooth the chain is attached to and then pulling in one motion. Saves the patient from yanking

i just had braces 1hour ago! it doesn’t hurts and it’s a pretty good massage for my lips. (lol) i tried to brush teeth and it’s easy, i also tried to drink water but it was very weird. i had the sensation that my braces are gonna fall so i stopped. lol

Hi my friend and There isn’t an official style guide for braces, but these suggestions can help you to narrow down your choices:
✅ Choose gold, dark blue, pink, orange, turquoise, green, or violet to complement darker skin tones.
✅ Choose light blue, bronze, dark purple or subdued reds and pinks to complement lighter skin tones.
✅ Choose darker colors to make your teeth appear whiter. Watch out for lighter colors that could make your teeth look more yellow. 🦷💥
✅Consider colors that complement or match your eyes. Think about colors that complement the color of clothing that you wear most often.
Try your school colors or the colors of your favorite sports team. Christmas or blue and pink around Easter. Glow-in-the-dark bands are fun for Halloween.
❌ You may want to avoid these colors:
❎ Black (can look like your teeth are rotting or can look as though you have food stuck in your teeth).
❎ White (can make your teeth appear more yellow and white elastics tend to stain more easily).
❎ Yellow (tends to intensify the appearance of yellow-toned teeth).
❎ Green or brown (can be mistaken for food in your teeth).

Hi Clarezelle I'm so sorry to hear that, sometimes your teeth might feel sensitive after a couple days after you get your braces off , but after a while they go back to normal if the sensitivity continues you should visit your dentist and get some fluoride :)

Power chains actually don't hurt me, believe it or not. My gums don't hurt either. It's the bracket rubbing on my lips that hurts. I get sores

I need some help: i got normal colorful elastics , but for my 4 front teeth from up and 2 teeth from the back down I got a small grey power chain under the normal elastics , wich means I have 2 colorful elastics on one bracket. How long does the pain last? It is my 2nd day of pain lol. I love my braces!!!

@@ToothTime He tells me that it could be because of the bonding material or their could be a defect in manufacturing of the brackets. He tried changing the bonding material but still the result is same. It's been 3 months and in every 15day visit, I'll be loosing min 3 of my brackets (mostly pre-molar and canine).

@@danahaqrawi6980 oh yeah that happens a lot of times for me (i dont have braces yet) but i think when i am gonna get them ill have a water flosser and the flossing process will be faster and if you are tired you can just waterfloss fastly and then go to bed..

I think it will always depends with the patient. Coz before i got my braces i asked many of my friends how it feel to have braces and all of them said that it hurt so bad. But when i got mine i didnt felt any pain just the bracket that was rubbing in my mouth but i always put a wax on it to prevent it from rubbing.

I'm around 1.5 years in with my braces and just got my power chains. I honestly thought the pain part was over, but it's never over with braces 😂 It doesn't really hurt, just feels super sore and the type that makes you afraid to even try to bite bread. I'm happy though, the more it hurts the more my teeth move.

I’m 35 and I just got my first power chain today 5 months in! I thought it would be regular pain like when you first get them put on but no. I feel like someone is pushing my teeth as hard as they can. But…it hurts so good lol I’m so excited for my gap to close!

For me I HAD a large gap and lots of spacing from pushing my tongue 👅 against my teeth 🦷 when I swallow. All gone now! I’m in rubber bands with the power chain now.
