In 2007 I went to younda , Cameroon as a Missionary and met some of the nicest folk possible. Was with the African Holiness Mission Group. Curtis Teague . Bro. Kenneth Lott was there also , lived in the jungle with the church folk , ate what gave us . BRO. FRANKLYN WAS THE PASTOR OF THE CHURCH THERE. God Bless Bro. Georges
It feels like home, all family members and neighbours participate in making food for the party. I wish mothers and grandmothers' voices were included. Anyways thanks for sharing.
Camaroon language seems to have its roots in Tamil. There are many words and expressions it it which are similar to Tamil. May be their ancient ancestors were Tamils.
Just got my results from African Ancestry. I share genetic Ancestry with Masa, Mafa and Kotoko people of Cameroon. Would love to visit my ancestral home one day soon!
I live in the U.S.A but I did my Ancestry test! And I'm Cameroonian! Yayy! So glad to see where my ancestors come from. I will come to visit my homeland one of these days!!!
Can anyone tell me what tribes people are found in Cameroon? I'm trying to find out which one my family comes from. I heard a lot about the Fulani tribe. What are the names of other tribes there? I would really appreciate an answer. Thank you in advance! :)
Not really, I just know we come from the West African part of Cameroon. I'll need to do more research. But I appreciate you answering me and for the information.
West part of Cameroon includes the following communities and many others: Tikar, Bamoun, Bayangui, Bamiléké... You should hang up with Lisa Aubrey (PhD) from the Arizona state university, because she did and still doing a great investigation work about Bimbia a slave port in Cameroon; Look for her on facebook.
