I am going to play this game tomorrow with my teenage students, I believe my students have things for show and tell! I never run out of ideas because of your channel, Eric. I will let you know how it goes.
@@etacude The students were excited to do the activity. Turns out they had so many things to talk about and the class had high student talk time because of this golden activity. I also made them ask each other about their things, everyone was happy and so was I! Thanks Eric!
An idea: to give learners more opportunities to speak maybe the other learners ask questions about the items. Also, to get them listen to each other more carefully, can we instruct them recap what the other learner talked about?
Great idea! I definitely like it when students do most of the work, including asking questions. In the future I normally do that, but this was the first time teaching the activity. :)
I was stuck at a warmer game since ages.im learning.. Thanks again! BTW need that Snorlax at 3:20 haha . God bless you all making this video a learning possibility.
I'm happy if it helps! For the next couple of weeks I will release a video about games that can be played online or in class. If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend this video on 10 fantastic warmup games. :) ruclips.net/video/vBmzTbl87Sk/видео.html
So happy to hear Miseal! It's great hearing good feedback. 😊 For December I will release an activity/game video every day. I hope it proves useful too. 😄
Hope your students enjoy it! It feels like I should be looking for more online activities to help teachers but a bit busy with other projects atm. Looking forward to your next video Tolentino!
Hi Aman, Here is a playlist for teaching with Zoom: ruclips.net/p/PLg2YHlc8f1l_kvBzjL8DOXzzkpE5OhuCF And here is a Zoom Teaching Course: bit.ly/teachzoom I do a livestream every Sunday that you can join if you have any questions. Eric
Hey Eric! Thank you so much for your helpful videos, I am learning a lot. I was wondering, I see many teachers wearing a set of headphones with a mic attached but it looks as though you are perhaps listening to your students through a set of speakers? I ask because I actually personally think it looks more natural and friendly without the bulky headphones...but maybe that's just my opinion. If you have time I would love to know your ideas and thoughts on this. Thanks again!
Hi Rupert! Good catch there. Yes, I don't use headphones, I like chatting with the students like it's something normal. It depends on your situation though. I have a webcam with a built-in mic that I got for 70 bucks. Also, if you don't live alone like I do it makes sense to wear headphones for privacy. I guess whatever works for people but as long as my students can hear me and I them, I prefer being headphone 🎧 free 😄
@@etacude Amazing! Thank you so much for your response, this is super helpful for me! I am very inspired and will consider using headphones less \(^▽^)/

Thabk you for letting me know Ignatius!
This strategy is great, Eric. Games motivate students with their participation and create a positive attitude towards learning.
