@@u140550 well.....I know for sure it’s not Kyle’s “official” service dress when he was in because that’s not the uniform we wear. They do need to update our service dress though.

I did a six year. Was stuck in florida for 4 years. Only way out is korea.

I did 4 year contracts until my 20 years....lol. This is honestly the truth Hahahah. I have seen a lot of 6 year enlistees get out. I wonder why that is.
lol me too and my recruiter is trying to talk me into to doing this😅 but i’m just gonna tell him i’m sticking to a 4 year the next time we talk

I’m late to the party but - I always tell dudes to do the bare minimum contract. Uncle Sam will always get his, and you can always do more, if you want.
I’m going to do six for the Air Force because my job has a bonus, I definitely will do 20 years unless I get a really good civilian opportunity.
The only good choice I made when joining, is singing that 4 year.

Yea I feel like the short term is better, you get to see if you really like it. If you do then just re-enlist after your contracted period. 🙂

Technically you sign a 6yr after tech you go to e3 and if you continue for 20 you get your pension takes dedication and patience
I ain’t gotta worry either way, I’ll still be signing a 4 yr contract and getting E-3 automatically after BMT cause of JROTC. Besides, I only plan on doing 4 years of active duty and transferring over to the Air National Guard after.
Is that the new Class A uniform. If it is I'm so glad they woke up and got rid of the Civilian uniform. .

It's ok to get out, but do consider staying in the Reserve for the retirement, you will thank yourself when you turn 60

6 years just for early promotion and can’t rank up faster seems like a bad idea. If you could rank up faster for committing longer then I’d think it be worth it
