About the top 4 comment: I do believe, comparing to the other girls in Secret Story of the Swan that Sakura was the 4th best dancer. Now, I can't compare the other girls in the other eras because that's literally the point of the video But anyway, we all got to have different opinions. yes!!, I got your point since the very beginning, I knew you were talking about secret story if the swan, in fact, i found it ridiculous when other youtuber put her in 11th place for dancing in ssos era. its unfair and make no sense, its like they are still sticking to produce48 performances and give no room for the girls to improve.

I dont think she was bad bad either,,, there is a video of her dancing an akb song for the produce 48 audition where she already showed a lot of things that this video talked about (ruclips.net/video/FtcmoMK0d44/видео.html here!!!), I think what messed with her presentation was that she wasnt used to kpop choreographies and that she had a very short time to learn them, there are so many details that kinda go over your head if you dont learn them properly. I think she could have made a better very very very cover with more time in her hands
i’m a dancer and honestly, i do think she was very lacking in the beginning. this video shows great evolution for her but in the beginning her isolations were nonexistent, she had no torso/arm control or any body control for that matter, her timing was almost always off, and was also extremely stiff and awkward. i think she just wasn’t used to dancing like this and it’s clearly not something that comes very naturally for her and that’s perfectly fine, any skill can be improved over time. proud of her for persevering through and pushing for that improvement
honestly! she has improved so much in almost every aspect! when IZ*ONE decides to go their go their separate ways if she debuts in a group, i’m sure she’s gonna get even better and i’m looking at a bright future for sakura and for the rest of the girls as well!

She's much more famous over there and the idol life there is less scrutinizing. Her mental wellbeing would be better in Japan. If she happened to debut in a kpop group after iz*one, I'm not sure what kind of deal could work out for her to balance work-life in both countries.

@@FreeHugsForYuuh you have to remember the dynamic of AKB can be different than other idol groups because of the elections and that 48 group is kinda floundering for a face. I'm going to predict Akimoto is going to try to push for Sakura to be a central member of the group when she returns as well as Nako and Hitomi (but mainly Sakura) because he'll want her in there for the Olympic ceremony at the very least. Sakura has been able to balance the work side of being in two groups being a kenin in 48 group but that's easier given it's within the same umbrella and there's no international travel. We'll have to see.
We need remember that Sakura didn’t have a professional training in dancing skill like Korean members, so in a very short time, she really makes a fast progress and keeps pace with other members. She’s very talent and her efforts are much appreciated!!!!
Sakura reminds me of Hwasa in this aspect. They are not really good dancer, but somehow their stage presence makes you think their techniques are better than it really are lol. Plus, they never show sign of them struggling in dance department in their facials, hence why it is more convincing to see them as good dance performer at the first glance.

Yep. Her skills compared to her AKB days to now are way better. But I am still hoping to see more improvements on her. I don't wish for Sakura to be called as just a pretty face with no talent. She is talented but others won't see that so she rise and improve and is still improving herself.
an opinion: fiesta is much harder than ssos. Sakura did not start to improve during SSOS but Fiesta. But it can't be shown clearly since Fiesta and SSOS demands different things. FIESTA: small scale hand movements, proper finger formation, body angles, harder body coordination specifically feet and elbow, up and down movements, center of gravity should be maintained for the whole song, posture, harder feet and hand flexibility, isolation SSOS: proper angles, center of gravity maintained but with breaks, harder body isolation (top movement while isolated below), posture, hand flexibility, equally matched with Fiesta in body angles while SSOS requires the same and more it is more focused on power than details. so, I think that Sakura improved alot in Fiesta before SSOS. Its just that she could not show it properly. :>>>
If you think about it, some people always forget the smallest detail. What they didn't know is that the smallest details can make a dance better. Fiesta is all about details if you ask me. While SSOS has this but not in the scale of Fiesta.
this is what im thinking too, sakura has already improved in fiesta but it was more noticeable bc ssots required more power than detail. we could say ssots was "flashy"
I think both of them are equally difficult, Fiesta has more small details but you need very good posture and angles if you don’t want to look like a mess dancing to SSOTS. I think some of the girls do make a lot of small mistakes in Fiesta but those mistakes can be easily covered meanwhile bad angles or underdancing or stiffness can be very prominent if dancing to SSOTS
I have always liked Sakura. Lots of people hate her for taking the spotlight on Produce 48, but that doesn't take away from the fact that she always worked hard to improve even if she had no dance skills. I'm glad to see that to this day she still wants to improve her dancing and singing. In my personal opinion I would not put her in a fourth place, I would put her in a fifth place (formerly held by Yujin, but she did not have many spotlights in SSOTS, she was still radiant). Yes, she still has some things to improve but I really think she improved in this last comeback, especially I think the agency did well to give her a position in dance break. She also worked hard to improve his voice, you have to give her credit for that.
She could have coasted on her visuals and popularity. No one would have given her too much hate because her performances are still fun to watch. But instead she choose to rise to the challenge after seeing the gaps in her skills. This side of her is the most charming. I hope she signs with WM instead of going back to AKB because she would be a perfect lead dancer to Chaeyeon's main.
She won't sign with a company again before graduating from HKT48. And for a Top member like her it means a spectacular graduation concert, at least one more single with her as a center and a graduation song, probably solo. She needs to go back, even for a while, so her wota who were there from the start can have that closure.
I mean she could have just chosen not to participate in PD48. It’s exhausting moving forth and back between Japan and South Korea, and then there comes the language barrier and cultural differences. She makes enough money with even only AKB, but she chooses to come to Korea and faces that she has a lot to work on. That is her strongest point
I was so sad when I didn’t see Yukon in the dance break because like you said Sakura may not be able to surpass he so I was a little devastated that on of the best dancers in izone was replaced by Sakura, but either way I love both of them and I am still great full for the dance break with or without Sakura.

I do think Sakura is in IZONE's top 4 too now In forggstans IZONE ranking video, you can see examples of Yujin's underdeveloped technique (specially in Fiesta imo) I think it's harder to decide between Chaewon and Sakura, but it seems that Sakura has a more well-rounded technique now. Chaewon has a lot of problems with overdancing, and while Sakura also has underdancing tendencies, I think she's become able to control her energy a lot better, which sets the two of them apart This is also just my opinion tho! ♡
I agree, Sakura is one of my biases, but 1. Chaeyeon 2. Eunbi 3. Yena 4. Sakura Just doesn't seem fair to Chaewon and Yujin. But of course if Sakura continues to improve at this rate and shows us that, then there's a possibility for the future
@Blue Sky Top 4 for choreography exist, it's basically the 4 members who did the best dancing a specifically choreography. As you can see in ON THE SCENE channel, not always the overall dance ranking of a whole group it's the same than the dance rank of one choreography. Sometimes a member do better the movements than the others even if is not one of the best dancers.
I just love to see hoe much Sakura has improved since produce! I love and respect her so much, and I was so happy to see her in the dance break for SSotS! I know Yujin wasn't there, but I think it was such an opportunity for Kkura to show us everything we needed and more lol. Proud of you, and I can't wait to see what you bring us for Beware!

Hitomi deserve better, I think hitomi higher than wonyoung and minju and chaewon is not the same level as yena tbh, chaeyeon said yena is her dance partner ,yena is a hip-hop dance major and her gangsta oneiric theater concert performance proved that,yena is a hip-hop dancer so izone's concept does not suit her.

imo, her improvement did not start from ssots but it was actually gradually improving. and the improvement was most especially in fiesta era (after the hiatus). it was most noticeable in ssots because of the choreography - since imo it also highlights power (esp the dance break)
I really love how you never bash the idols or overcriticize, just point out where they could improve! Chaewon (2nd to "lead" the dance break for LVER performance on MAMA) 6. Yuri (her movements have more power, just like her voice) 7. Wonyoung 8. Tomi 9. Minju 10. Nako 11. Kwangbae 12. Kkura Violeta era: 1. Chaeyeon (the Feather) 2. Eunbi (danced solo at an awards show) 3. Yena (known as a powerful/strong member) 4. it's really funny to me how people expect her to become an amazing ass dancer and singer in a few months time even though her entire career she has been faced with much easier choreo and vocals. she is doing her best. stop exaggerating how bad she is. she is doing better than some of the idols trained for a long time
I watched more of Sakura's fancams after this vid and I agree with you 100%. She is one of the best dancers in SSOTS. She's gotten so much more control over her movements and she doesn't under dance anymore. And when she hits, she hits hard. I also agree with you when you say that a little bit more fluidity can help with her performances. But overall, her glow up is incredible - one of the best glow ups in kpop.
I saw most of the comments where it is written that, though Sakura has improved a lot she can't surpass dancers like Chaewon and Yujin. You people know what? I agree with your opinion but I disagree too. That's because Sakura was never been trained like Chaewon and Yujin with their own company. She became an idol for 7 years before joining Iz*one but she used to train herself, no trainers for her. And in the age of 22, that's also in only 2 years, she improved this much in dancing; for me, she really surpassed Chaewon and Yujin and other dancers of Iz*one too except Chaeyeon. If you don't agree with my words then Truth is bitter for you.

She definitely improved a lot! but for me, the ranking the top 5 is Chaeyeon, Eunbi, Yena, Chaewon and Yujin. I've been stanning izone since predebut, before ssots I never thought I'd be consider her 6th in izone! Though comparing Sakura to Yuri/Wonyoung/Minju/Nako/Hitomi. I love Hyewon but I do think i'd place her last. I If Sakura went from a 4 to a 7.5, Minju/Wonyoung/Yuri/Nako/Hitomi might have gone from a 5.5 to a 7.5 in my eyes. Sakura definitely improved the most, but the rest has also been improving a lot :)
I always found Sakura's dancing very interesting! You can see her experience with performing on stage, she completely enjoys being Sakura the Idol, which makes the viewer enjoy her perfomances, too. But at the same (and especially in Produce) you could tell the lack in training and her bad dancing. Of course Sakura is not as good as most of the other Korean members, they had more training. But as you can see, it's just a matter of time to see improvement in dancing. What no one can take from Sakura, and what really shined in their debut time the most (when people would constantly compare Japanese and Korean Line), is her powerful presence on stage, thanks to her years of performing in front of fans. I'm really glad to see she's gained confidence in her dancing as well, since it was something she was very insecure about (I'm not saying because of JuriSaku rivalry pushed on her but...) now she's much more confident and its gorgeous. I'm looking forward to what happens when she returns to HKT as well.

as a dancer i would rank her atleast 10 or higher, sakura improved a lot but i think she couldn't surpass the other girls YET, if she keeps improving then that will most likely to happen. some moves still looks awkward to her, there are times that she lacks in control, performance wise she could surpass the girls, but overall and technique wise, other girls still better than her. overall ranking: 1. chaeyeon 2. eunbi 3. yena 4. chaewon 5. yujin 6. hitomi 7. minjoo 8. yuri 9. sakura 10. wonyoung 11. nako 12. hyewon overall top 5 excels in dancing, top 6-12 are arguable, hitomi underdances a lot, minjoo is quite good for a dancer with undeveloped technique, yuri is a great dancer but i think her main vocal position holds her back as she was known for being a great dancer during idol school, sakura on the other hand improved a lot her isolations, moves, and overall are better than before, wonyoung is a good dancer also but i think her long limbs are limiting her to move and causes awkwards projections, nako unlike wonyoung, she has shorter limbs and some moves are awkward to look and affects her overall dancing, and hyewon is still the weakest dancer in izone though still improving.
Both sakura and Minju have incredible potential in dance, yet their companies do nothing ab it 😅😅 For example- minju performed in the ot5 version of Rumor and *did not underperform* at any point. And kkura blended in almost perfectly in the ssots dance break.. Both can also read really well the movement and rhythm, and have amazing stage presence.. if given the right training they both can be in the dance line of their future groups, specially minju, since it comes natural to her
to be honest as someone who just discovered her in lesserafim it really doesn't seem like she was ever BAD at dancing; she just approached it in the japanese idol way instead of the korean idol way
If by the "Japanese idols way" you mean barely any training, you would be correct Japanese idols don't really get vocal training or proper dance training. Maybe that changed in the last few years There are many idols that are known for being "bad singers". No one finds it offensive when you say that, because they're not seen as singers necessarily. Their job is to perform and please the fans and be cute

As a dancer I really love these types of content. It would be interesting to see your thoughts about what makes a main dancer and lead dancer and idol dancing and overall dancing. Some people who doesn't have any knowledge about dancing talks nonsense
I think in the beginning she had a base set of basic skills and when she underdanced she also would mimic the Korean members dancing “gracefully & prettily” if that makes any sense. This is my own observation & opinion from the beginning and I knew she had potential from their debut but when she under danced I lost interest. Luckily she showed her improvement in the long run 🙌🏽

Sakura in pick me dance prac was amazing and her moves were so clean I thought she would definitely improve so much, which I think I'm not mistaken

@@FreeHugsForYuuh you have to remember the dynamic of AKB can be different than other idol groups because of the elections and that 48 group is kinda floundering for a face. I'm going to predict Akimoto is going to try to push for Sakura to be a central member of the group when she returns as well as Nako and Hitomi (but mainly Sakura) because he'll want her in there for the Olympic ceremony at the very least. Sakura has been able to balance the work side of being in two groups being a kenin in 48 group but that's easier given it's within the same umbrella and there's no international travel. We'll have to see.
We need remember that Sakura didn’t have a professional training in dancing skill like Korean members, so in a very short time, she really makes a fast progress and keeps pace with other members. She’s very talent and her efforts are much appreciated!!!!
Sakura reminds me of Hwasa in this aspect. They are not really good dancer, but somehow their stage presence makes you think their techniques are better than it really are lol. Plus, they never show sign of them struggling in dance department in their facials, hence why it is more convincing to see them as good dance performer at the first glance.

an opinion: fiesta is much harder than ssos.
Sakura did not start to improve during SSOS but Fiesta. But it can't be shown clearly since Fiesta and SSOS demands different things.
FIESTA: small scale hand movements, proper finger formation, body angles, harder body coordination specifically feet and elbow, up and down movements, center of gravity should be maintained for the whole song, posture, harder feet and hand flexibility, isolation
SSOS: proper angles, center of gravity maintained but with breaks, harder body isolation (top movement while isolated below), posture, hand flexibility, equally matched with Fiesta in body angles
while SSOS requires the same and more it is more focused on power than details. so, I think that Sakura improved alot in Fiesta before SSOS. Its just that she could not show it properly.

I think both of them are equally difficult, Fiesta has more small details but you need very good posture and angles if you don’t want to look like a mess dancing to SSOTS. I think some of the girls do make a lot of small mistakes in Fiesta but those mistakes can be easily covered meanwhile bad angles or underdancing or stiffness can be very prominent if dancing to SSOTS

I have always liked Sakura. Lots of people hate her for taking the spotlight on Produce 48, but that doesn't take away from the fact that she always worked hard to improve even if she had no dance skills. I'm glad to see that to this day she still wants to improve her dancing and singing. In my personal opinion I would not put her in a fourth place, I would put her in a fifth place (formerly held by Yujin, but she did not have many spotlights in SSOTS, she was still radiant). Yes, she still has some things to improve but I really think she improved in this last comeback, especially I think the agency did well to give her a position in dance break. She also worked hard to improve his voice, you have to give her credit for that.
She could have coasted on her visuals and popularity. No one would have given her too much hate because her performances are still fun to watch. But instead she choose to rise to the challenge after seeing the gaps in her skills. This side of her is the most charming. I hope she signs with WM instead of going back to AKB because she would be a perfect lead dancer to Chaeyeon's main.
She won't sign with a company again before graduating from HKT48. And for a Top member like her it means a spectacular graduation concert, at least one more single with her as a center and a graduation song, probably solo. She needs to go back, even for a while, so her wota who were there from the start can have that closure.
I mean she could have just chosen not to participate in PD48. It’s exhausting moving forth and back between Japan and South Korea, and then there comes the language barrier and cultural differences. She makes enough money with even only AKB, but she chooses to come to Korea and faces that she has a lot to work on. That is her strongest point

In forggstans IZONE ranking video, you can see examples of Yujin's underdeveloped technique (specially in Fiesta imo)
I think it's harder to decide between Chaewon and Sakura, but it seems that Sakura has a more well-rounded technique now. Chaewon has a lot of problems with overdancing, and while Sakura also has underdancing tendencies, I think she's become able to control her energy a lot better, which sets the two of them apart

@Blue Sky Top 4 for choreography exist, it's basically the 4 members who did the best dancing a specifically choreography. As you can see in ON THE SCENE channel, not always the overall dance ranking of a whole group it's the same than the dance rank of one choreography. Sometimes a member do better the movements than the others even if is not one of the best dancers.

imo, her improvement did not start from ssots but it was actually gradually improving. and the improvement was most especially in fiesta era (after the hiatus). it was most noticeable in ssots because of the choreography - since imo it also highlights power (esp the dance break)

I watched more of Sakura's fancams after this vid and I agree with you 100%. She is one of the best dancers in SSOTS.
She's gotten so much more control over her movements and she doesn't under dance anymore. And when she hits, she hits hard. I also agree with you when you say that a little bit more fluidity can help with her performances. But overall, her glow up is incredible - one of the best glow ups in kpop.

I saw most of the comments where it is written that, though Sakura has improved a lot she can't surpass dancers like Chaewon and Yujin. You people know what? I agree with your opinion but I disagree too. That's because Sakura was never been trained like Chaewon and Yujin with their own company. She became an idol for 7 years before joining Iz*one but she used to train herself, no trainers for her. And in the age of 22, that's also in only 2 years, she improved this much in dancing; for me, she really surpassed Chaewon and Yujin and other dancers of Iz*one too except Chaeyeon. If you don't agree with my words then Truth is bitter for you.

She definitely improved a lot! but for me, the ranking the top 5 is Chaeyeon, Eunbi, Yena, Chaewon and Yujin. I've been stanning izone since predebut, before ssots I never thought I'd be consider her 6th in izone! Though comparing Sakura to Yuri/Wonyoung/Minju/Nako/Hitomi. I love Hyewon but I do think i'd place her last. I
If Sakura went from a 4 to a 7.5, Minju/Wonyoung/Yuri/Nako/Hitomi might have gone from a 5.5 to a 7.5 in my eyes. Sakura definitely improved the most, but the rest has also been improving a lot :)

It's a bit of a mystery why she chose the idol path. Apparently she's pretty smart and she was studying to become a doctor.
I always found Sakura's dancing very interesting! You can see her experience with performing on stage, she completely enjoys being Sakura the Idol, which makes the viewer enjoy her perfomances, too. But at the same (and especially in Produce) you could tell the lack in training and her bad dancing.
Of course Sakura is not as good as most of the other Korean members, they had more training. But as you can see, it's just a matter of time to see improvement in dancing.
What no one can take from Sakura, and what really shined in their debut time the most (when people would constantly compare Japanese and Korean Line), is her powerful presence on stage, thanks to her years of performing in front of fans.

I'm really glad to see she's gained confidence in her dancing as well, since it was something she was very insecure about (I'm not saying because of JuriSaku rivalry pushed on her but...) now she's much more confident and its gorgeous. Panorama and D D Dance?
Are you ever planning to do a video like this but with all members? Since they're disbanding it would be nice to see how much each member has improved compared to when they started. Tho a video like this would probably be allot of work, so i'll understand if you can't.
as a dancer i would rank her atleast 10 or higher, sakura improved a lot but i think she couldn't surpass the other girls YET, if she keeps improving then that will most likely to happen.
some moves still looks awkward to her, there are times that she lacks in control, performance wise she could surpass the girls, but overall and technique wise, other girls still better than her.

overall top 5 excels in dancing, top 6-12 are arguable, hitomi underdances a lot, minjoo is quite good for a dancer with undeveloped technique, yuri is a great dancer but i think her main vocal position holds her back as she was known for being a great dancer during idol school, sakura on the other hand improved a lot her isolations, moves, and overall are better than before, wonyoung is a good dancer also but i think her long limbs are limiting her to move and causes awkwards projections, nako unlike wonyoung, she has shorter limbs and some moves are awkward to look and affects her overall dancing, and hyewon is still the weakest dancer in izone though still improving.
I’m so glad to see how much she’s improved ☺️

Both sakura and Minju have incredible potential in dance, yet their companies do nothing ab it 😅😅
For example- minju performed in the ot5 version of Rumor and *did not underperform* at any point.
And kkura blended in almost perfectly in the ssots dance break..
Both can also read really well the movement and rhythm, and have amazing stage presence.. if given the right training they both can be in the dance line of their future groups, specially minju, since it comes natural to her
to be honest as someone who just discovered her in lesserafim it really doesn't seem like she was ever BAD at dancing; she just approached it in the japanese idol way instead of the korean idol way
If by the "Japanese idols way" you mean barely any training, you would be correct
Japanese idols don't really get vocal training or proper dance training. Maybe that changed in the last few years
There are many idols that are known for being "bad singers". No one finds it offensive when you say that, because they're not seen as singers necessarily. Their job is to perform and please the fans and be cute
@@zahraa4149 i mostly meant like focussing on expressions and excitement and being cute, i dont think the jpop industry really values vocal or dance talent so they don't put much training towards it.

As a dancer I really love these types of content. It would be interesting to see your thoughts about what makes a main dancer and lead dancer and idol dancing and overall dancing. Some people who doesn't have any knowledge about dancing talks nonsense

I think in the beginning she had a base set of basic skills and when she underdanced she also would mimic the Korean members dancing “gracefully & prettily” if that makes any sense. This is my own observation & opinion from the beginning and I knew she had potential from their debut but when she under danced I lost interest. Luckily she showed her improvement in the long run 🙌🏽
