Thank you for your honesty. You opened your heart and I am listening! My intention is "GO GET PEOPLE" to join, become leaders. I have always walked in a room and go directly to the person who might feel a minority in the room. Like Debra Gilmore, I am intrigued by people of cultures. So I can learn. I want a big life and it comes from me interacting with all gods people. Thank you Madam President

Thank you for such an authentic conversation. I am the mother of a black man and I pray for him everyday. We have worked out tails off to provide a safe community for him to grown up in and took him out of the Inner City to the suburbs to give him a chance at this life. Every day I try harder, everyday I must work to not just fit in, I have to try harder...there is always a little bit in our heart that says..."not quite good enough"...not like everyone else. I pray my daughter doesn't have to ever feel this way and I think you for having the conversation.

Classroom Leadership in a diverse population." ...and This is simply the Start...#what'snext

OMG! I just listened to this and am so sad I missed it. Thank you so much for having this dialogue for us, our families and friends all who often times live these experiences daily. I know I have experienced issues and will most likely experience more in these times, but I feel great that you have addressed this. Your honesty and thoughts on what next is needed to move forward is a hard, difficult and uneasy subject but Brenda Lee you nailed it!!! Count me in to roll up my sleeves and get to work on making the network more diverse and applying these skills!

Thank you to these amazing leaders, each and every one of whom I hold so much respect and admiration for, for sharing yourselves and experiences (and importantly parts of your 'meeting after the meeting'). So many words of wisdom and care in your messages for us all. May we all hear them, hold onto them and carry them into 'what's next.' #advancingALLwomen

I am so incredibly proud to have viewed this outstanding discussion with such dynamic and inspiring women/Council members. Three of these women... JoAnne, Deborah and Margo... I have looked up to for over 20 years in our organization, as role models and mentors, so I personally thank you for sharing, and "being you"! It is important that this conversation continues, and never ends, until Black Moms and Dad no longer have to have "The Talk" with their children. I'd like to think we have come so far... and I guess we have.. in one sense... because we CAN have conversations and open dialogue like this, across all colors and ethnicities. And yet my heart still aches, because we still have so far to go... and the conversations need to turn into definitive actions to address the systemic racism which has yet again... and again... and again... reared its ugly head. We've heard, "We're ALL in this TOGETHER" for the past few months, alluding to the Covid-19 pandemic. Well... "We're ALSO all in THIS together", too! Stay safe and be well, All! Virtual Hugs, Bob

I appreciate your honesty Madame President Brenda! I also appreciate that this is a conversation WITH not only African American women about Race - BUT with those in WCR Leadership! I am grateful that Women's Council of Realtors is not just about "diversity" but about "inclusion" - There’s a quote someone shared with me about diversity and inclusion (paraphrased); “diversity is being asked to the party, inclusion is being asked to dance at the party.” Taunee English, 2020 President-Elect of LA/Beverly Hills Network @Asktaunee

This was an amazing panel and start to a very important topic. Has their been any more discussion on the series of forums mentioned by Dr. Danette or an Advisory Council that Mrs. Deborah Gilmore mentioned? It is much needed. Thank you.

My friends, my REALTOR Family, my peers - I am sorry that our country requires you to live in a bubble that’s different than mine, because of the color of your skin.
    Because you are a woman.
Because you live in a certain neighborhood.
Because you are uncomfortable in your surroundings.
Instead, I choose to celebrate you, learn from you & to follow you
    Because you are a woman
Because you live in a different neighborhood
Because you have different cultural experiences
Because you are a human being
    Because I care.
I’m sorry that you have had to share your stories, but I know that your experiences have shaped the strong & successful women that you are. But, THANK YOU, for sharing your lives and contenting the conversations that we need to have, the situations we need to address and laughter that we need to share. I’m here to help - I’ll call in the troops. #what'snext
