i really like the information and demonstration of the upgrades to your projects.. like the consistent use of safety gear and no swearing that i have heard other places, please keep it going... Andy
Very true, I do hvac and was never big on safety gear until recently after about the third time of getting hot metal shards in my eyes. Now I always wear my ppe but I think I already caused permanent damage to my right eye
For filling gaps: TIG welding rod is a great way to bridge gaps with MIG welding. Helps add non-molten material in the space between. Just lay it in the seam and weld over it.
Going 4 link in my tj as soon as I finish these axles. Think I’m gonna use Clayton setup with custom arms with ruff stuff ends. Kinda on the fence though because I do like to drive on road a lot and it gets kinda old constantly lubing the ends. I don’t get why they don’t add a zerk fitting but maybe it weakens the ends...idk
I know you said you don’t recommend this kit. I don’t mind the work involved with this kit. Could you tell me who makes it and where you get it. Thank you
Could this kit be welded to existing frame stiffeners? I have the TNT frame stiffeners on my rig. Looks as if I could just use those to weld the connection points to.
Your better off building your own go to your local Steel supply 9 time out a ten they have a brake just bring your demotions with you they'll make a print on site
You made a good looking piece. It's a shame it didn't come the way it was supposed to. Have you considered doing a 4BT diesel swap into a jeep? I would be interested in seeing you do it. May get me motivated to do the swap as well.
I have seen threads about using the smaller smaller Cummins I believe it was a 3.3 the guy use and he said everything was mechanical and had a adapter plate made for the trans
Great video as always! Question though: what are you going to do with the RuffStuff frame stiffeners? Was it just for the commercial use, or is there a surprise in store?
BleepinJeep did some research I think I'm going to use ruffstuff specialties triangulated four link kit front and rear having a hard time figuring out what shock setup I'm going to use seeing as this ramcharger will see both street and trail use (plus it will have the heavy 12v cummins sitting in the front)
+BleepinJeep OK I see they still have not corrected the print out because mine is also wrong thanks for the reply and info your jeep is coming along awsome good work
I bought the exact same 4 link kit. It took about 4 months to get and this was 2 months after I was put on the waiting list, when I received the kit I was impressed with the quality but soon noticed during my mock up I was missing one of the link mount tabs. I was sent the correct amount of pieces but one of them was duplicated. The front links have a different bend than the rear. I called and called and explained my dilema and they seemed concerned as they mailed me a replacement tab however; they sent me the same tab again.....yes the wrong one. During all of this they made some changes at they office and I can't get anyone on the phone. My biggest concern was how to navigate the bends in the XJ frame rails as this kit was meant to be used without conforming to the unibody. Thanks to Bleepinjeep I am going to wait and see how his mods turn out and then I'll move forward on my build. I'll just work on my axles and trusses for now.
Instead of welding nuts on the framerails, why not look into a nutsert? You just drill the hole in the frame/bracket when its welded together, then you press the nutsert in. This is how a TJ skid is in place; and although they do sometimes fail; they are apparently a more 'secure' way of fastening than a welded nut on the inside.
+BleepinJeep I dont believe that company does; but they are made from someone Im sure. That said, Im certain your welded nuts would work fine; Im just trying to make life easier for you, haha.
Push a solid wire mig, unless you're into high profile, humpy welds. You wont get better penetration, you're just piling wire on top of wire. drag flux core E 71T.
You don't have to agree with me, I cant force you to be right. I don't refer to internet opinions, I use my 40 years of AWS, ASME, and API certifications.
David the Welding Guru White well it's straight from Miller, the people who make welders you use. I'll take the advice from them and looks like BleepinJeep will to
There's literally nothing wrong with it. If you don't like it good luck finding better vids. your gonna find plenty of real half asses videoing from their cell phones in their dark cramped garage.
+rathf150 dumbfuck, his voice doesn't match the video. And you've uploaded two videos and have a total of two likes and 3 subscribers. Shut the fuck up
Hey dude don't bring your welds. That weakens them severely. Have fun when that shit breaks on you while your rock climbing. #dontletdumbassesweld#makesureyoureducated#thisguyisbeyondadumbass
Pathetic when a company doesnt care about their customers.
Keep up the good work, Matt!

thanks! once you get a piece of steel in your eye you think twice about it the next time!

Good job Matt. I like watching your skills increase as the videos keep coming.
Still learning every day
wow looks really clean dude good work
+Robert Curtis thanks
Nice looking welds!
nice video Matt cant wait until it's done

very well done , I CAINT WAIT FOR MORE VIDEOS,,, godbless
that eor kit? mine took a week an had everything included
what is your welding set up? would love to get information about what you use and a possible review would be nice as well!
love the forearm protection
I know you said you don’t recommend this kit. I don’t mind the work involved with this kit. Could you tell me who makes it and where you get it. Thank you
When welding a smaller gap it’s easier to start at the top and walk it down keep a smaller puddle
Could this kit be welded to existing frame stiffeners? I have the TNT frame stiffeners on my rig. Looks as if I could just use those to weld the connection points to.
Any chance I can get the info on how I can get this kit? Aside from the customer care its exactly what I'm looking for

jw why didn't u leave the cuts unwelded and used them for another point to weld to the frame?
I thought about it but wanted it to be clean on the outside and I also gusseted over the inside cuts.
+BleepinJeep I'm sure it'll be just as strong either way. I agree it'll look alot better the way you did it
I got the same kit took me 2 months to get and then it took another 2 Months to get the right parts but it is a nice kit
What kit is it? Im looking at frame stiffeners, and really like the one that covers the inside too. Cant seem to find any info on them
What kit is it?
A skill saw with a $30 metal cutting blade what if cut those in 1/4 of the time like cutting wood
Great video as always! Question though: what are you going to do with the RuffStuff frame stiffeners? Was it just for the commercial use, or is there a surprise in store?
I will modify them for the rest of the frame
Looks like essentially off-road kit
Since you are doing a double triangulated in the front will you be using hydraulic steering?
+DeansFrags He's got videos on that. Yes he will. He also showed how he setup the ram.
weld through primer behind stuff like this would help prevent rust. pricey stuff though
+BleepinJeep How high do you run your amps when welding in this video? Thanks for your time.
This is just a thought but couldn't I use this same kit that you bought on a Dodge Ramcharger if the frame rails are the same width with modifications
maybe, but not sure if the geometry would be right...
I see which end you made the front but how did you find out that that was actually the front and the included print out was wrong?
+Daniel Niemoth I took an educated guess but did find out later from the manufacturer that my guess was right.
+BleepinJeep OK I see they still have not corrected the print out because mine is also wrong thanks for the reply and info your jeep is coming along awsome good work
What are you talking about. His videos are great.
@Trenton Tuckey
Putting in a 3" zone offroad lift in this weekend any words of advice?
Patience
+BleepinJeep haa, ill keep that in mind. Although that Sounds harder than dovetailing the scorpion crawler to me.
I am interested in the EOR kit.... but I think they stopped making them....
Sheridan Rambo I can’t find them either

Can someone please tell us what kit this is please?
The kit was made by EOR (Essentially Off Road) I'm not sure if they still make the kit.
Hey thinking off getting gen right 4 link would you recommend it
sorry I dont know anything about it.
You’re a bad influence! 😁😁
next time just flatten some copper plumbing pipe and use it to back your welding
great video

Not nearly strong or reliable enough for the beating this thing is going to take.
Are you certain? Some nutserts are pretty stout; such as these: avdelusallc.com/products/nutsert.shtml
They are only 5/16" though.
They got any 3/4" nutserts?
+BleepinJeep I dont believe that company does; but they are made from someone Im sure.
That said, Im certain your welded nuts would work fine; Im just trying to make life easier for you, haha.
That's cool, but it was already done several months ago.
Super program
do you know what a modified dirt track car is?
I'm sure he does sense he lives in Tennessee
Why?
Im gonna be using a rollcage off one of those and putting it on a 4wd frame i have
I don't see any editing problem?
what kind of MIG do you have??
Millermatic 185
+BleepinJeep good choice! that same welder put food on my table your about 4 years until I upgraded to a MM252. Great welder and great videos!
Good budget welder?
Maybe the Hobart handler, we have a review on it
You should push a mig, not pull it. Your welds with be much flatter, and wet in better.
David the Welding Guru White get better penetration on pulling

Excellent.
remember people don't look at the light.. i mean the light from the welding torch
all u want it right do it your self
i wear my welding helmet whenever i watch these videos, just to be safe
#Trenton Tuckey
Matt do you have messenger
Should left alone and just bolted it with the welding now you’ve made it weaker
first
Stop half assing your videos, sir. Edit them right or don't do them at all. 😘
+Trenton Tuckey what's wrong with it?
+BleepinJeep Cant see an issue, Trenton Tuckey must be watching this on a Nokia 5110.
There's literally nothing wrong with it. If you don't like it good luck finding better vids. your gonna find plenty of real half asses videoing from their cell phones in their dark cramped garage.
+Trenton Tuckey Why you made Bro? Tells Matt he can't edit a video right, but yet has no videos of his own. TROLL
