MTH are usually bafflng and subtitles rarely do much to clarify things a whole lot. As with many MTH songs this mixes a certain amount of satire/mockery with affection. They cover the cool things about America along with the uncool things (hence the reference to melanin-related incidents). They're usually a bit of a shock for people who aren't familiar with Japanese bands - as many of the comments here illustrate.
Yeah, this was a weird request for a maximum the hormone song. I don’t hate this song, but it’s definitely not their best song. And I also think it is the most ADHD of their music. But expect random turns when it comes to maximum the hormone. Like some other people have said I would recommend their newest Video that they put out. Which is an old song it’s just re-recorded with a guest appearance. The song is called Shimi. But yes, maximum the hormone seems to be a mixture of seriousness as well as trolling. And I think this was like a really trolley song. The peanuts thing from what I saw in some comments is kind of like a joke on the idea that Americans are so picky about what they eat and everybody seems to have an allergy and especially peanuts being a big allergy . Obviously that could be wrong, but that’s just what I saw in a comment. But yeah, I don’t look at this song as like peak maximum the hormone. For me it’s an OK song.
Fun song, combination of making fun of America while also being envious. They are masters at genre flips, tine changes & transitions with some really heavy riffs and vocals. They are legends in Japan and highly influential. Hanabie strtaed out as a MTH cover band and the drummers from Ban-Maid (Akane) & Nemophila (Tamu) were inspired by MTH's drummer Nao that women could be drummers. Nemophila has done a few MTH covers as well. Check out MTH's collab with Atarashii Gakko. It is phenomenal.

The video was released without subtitles; the card at the beginning says they would be available in September, but we had to wait until to get the lyrics. I’m still not sure whether this is a love song to America, or if they are ridiculing America. For many Japanese , their first encounter with Americans is with drunk and misbehaving servicemen, especially in Okinawa, and around the U.S. Air Force base in Yokosuka.
