Right? Like no dude. She wants the gate so that her dog can eat. His dog will be fine. Him not eating isn't because he's emotionally shut down and scared to eat, it's because he's too preoccupied trying to get out so he can bully the other dog. After a week he'll be hungry and eat, there's nothing stopping him. The gate's not scaring him, it's just blocking him from doing what he wants. He'll get over it and start eating again. But her dog CAN'T eat without the gate. Like her dog was suffering and he didn't care, but his was inconvenienced for a day or two and all of a sudden there's a problem.
I do get why she was mad. It wasn't that she didn't want to help train Xander, it's that her boyfriend didn't care when her dog was the one suffering all that time, but it happens for a day with Xander and her boyfriend is all upset and wants to stop using the gate.

Advice... Norman is trying to tell his owner that this guy is not the one. Always trust your pets. And after viewing the whole thing... good riddance to the boyfriend... Immediately.
The whole time watching the video I was like why dont you just leave the guy. After all she obv loves her dog a lot and it hurts her that Zander is being aggressive towards Norman. The guy didn't even try to train Zander and leaves Lindsy with most of the responsibility on top of the stress that her dog isn't eating.
xander “can’t eat” because he wants to be able to either eat Normans food or be mean to Norman knowing he won’t do anything back and won’t eat, so now he won’t eat. xander’s just being a b word.

I was looking for a comment like this because I completely agree, 100% Sure, the gate was a new thing but Xander wasn't eating specifically because Norman was eating and he didn't like that. Xander is (or was) a complete bully and wanted to make sure Norman wouldn't eat. When Jason said Xander didn't eat that morning or yesterday morning, I bet he fed Xander at the same time as Norman, this failed attempt at being a bully happening, and then meal time was over when Norman finished eating, not giving Xander a chance to eat afterwards. I have no doubt in my mind that Jason didn't try to feed Xander after Norman
Facts. You could literally see his behavior looking for ways to get to Norman while he's eating. But the BF was so concerned about his own dog not eating for one or two days when Norman hadn't been eating properly for over a year. Talk about a double standard.

But also my opinion and been a dog trainer my self I know that this relationship wont last because they are still my dog your dog and shes at the end saying the gate is staying when it shouldnt stay they should eventually get rid of it asap
I know if you know one dog won’t eat with the other there then separate them. We do it to our dog’s but its more because one eats a lot slower than the other so when she’s done with her food she will try to go after her sisters. One eats in her comfort zone in their cage and the other one on the opposite side of the room to give them space.
You can tell that Norman was well trained when the lady lit-up like a candle with pride when she told Victoria that he'd had agility training and was really good at it. Xander was the problem in this situation. The only other problem was that these two people didn't see fighting over dogs as a sign that they have deeper issues and shouldn't be together.
Naomi Blackford probably because they guy would’ve had a problem with separating them to eat because when he saw the gate be a distraction for xrander then he got frustrated with it
They did the one dog was eating but the over one wasn’t again it just switched around so it wouldn’t work both dogs are important and you can’t just stop the one from eating to get the over to eat you need to make away so they can both eat Also at the end that I just watched they did do that because they got both dogs eating

She's been frustrated for a year so its pretty clear why she lashed out, with fear for her dog. But he got frustrated in like, what 2 days? Didn't even wanna try to understand or find a compromise. What a big baby. (and no the gate removal wouldnt have worked becuz his dog STILL doesnt listen to him immediately anyway until the dog realizes "okay its gate time")
for real. clearly she had been like "you need to make an effort. i did it with norman, so why wouldn't you take responsibility for xander and do the same thing?" and he just didnt bother. and the gate might have worked if you just let xander get used to it. it's ridiculous. almost certainly if he gets hungry enough he'll eat and then he'll get used to it. and if he doesnt, then we reassess. like. common sense.
Did we even watch the same video? He was right, all she was after was a sense of payback. She was the one unwilling to compromise. She was stuck in this "my dog, your dog" mindset, and didn't care that a new problem arose from the use of the baby gate. Of course he got "frustrated" in two days. The entire point of that time was to come up with a solution that helps both dogs, not just one. And she wasn't having it. She gave zero f*cks about xander. The baby gate helped "her dog" so she was good, and wasn't budging. That's why the rest of video was of her working out her issues with xander. She was angry, and just wanted to make him hurt too. Rather than come together and heal the situation for both dogs, until Victoria worked with her.
They were both very frustrated because they had dogs that each of them loved and the dogs were fighting and they didn’t know how to solve it. Neither owner is “trash“, they were both sincerely wanting better but they were unsure how to fix it. Trainers had been hired and quit. It’s not his fault or her fault, it’s collectively their responsibility to understand their dogs and take action to help them.

What was this guy doing that was so much more important than training Xander while the female was very clearly taking the time to train Norman? Why should the female have to help the guy train Xander when it's clear (from Xander's behavior) that the guy never helped the female train Norman? This guy clearly couldn't even train his own dog until Victoria placed that responsibility onto him; there is absolutely no way that he could've helped her train Norman. @@martaszewczak7515 You're bring up the fact that they live in the same house, which is something I bought up in my original comment. Since you seem to be a big advocate for her helping him train Xander because they live in the same house and should have the same front, then maybe you can answer a few questions (with logical answers). If they both have the same number of trainers, then why is only Norman trained and not Zander? What was Jason doing that was so important (more important than training his dog, Zander) while Lindsay was taking the time to train Norman? Even after Lindsay finished training Norman and was taking him to agility class; what was Jason doing that was so much more important and took up so much of his time that he could not possibly train Zander? Also, Jason's dad even quoted Jason saying 'Well, if you're not going to WORK WITH ZANDER after the trainer leaves, then what's the point of hiring a trainer?'. Where in that previous sentence is the word 'help' or any indication that Jason expects Lindsay to help him train his dog when he is supposedly taking the time to work with Zander? Also, who was doing the training towards the end of the video? He even said himself that 'Lindsay really needs to help him train his dog' and then did the touch training once. How much training time do you think that equals up to versus the the time that Lindsay has put in with Norman? I hate to think that Jason doesn't really care much for Norman; but it kind of shows. Why was Jason okay with Norman being unable to eat for at least a year but so upset about Zander not eating for the past two days? They should both be eating; but, Jason clearly never saw it as a problem as long as it was Zander who was the one eating.
On the one hand, if they live with two dogs, I think they should train them both together since they all share the same space. But the guy just seems to blame her without making any effort to train his dog
Absolute trash of a boyfriend. He is not listening to his partner whatsoever and only cares about his little dog and no one else around. I feel bad for this poor girl and her dog, and the trainer seems to be on the guy's side too...what a joke
MoonieLass his dog/ her dog thing is what’s ruining their relationship. Norman and Xander are both their dogs. If either dog is not eating, it should be a problem for both. So they are both trash. The trainer was taking the side of the neglected dog.
I think the guy went into problem solving mode. Guys have a tendency to put a fullstop on a previous problem once its solved and be like "oh, but this is happening now, previous issue resolved." and not address the emotional aspect of a problem.
Both of them are problematic. The whole my dog/your dog mentality of the woman was really separating them. Once they moved together the dogs belong to both of them. She as well as he have to care about both dogs and solve their problems TOGETHER. He actually tried to find another way instead of the baby gate because it caused a new problem. She just didn't want it because HER dog was eating. She didn't seem to care about his dog at all...
I get that but if it was me and my partners dog was the issue...I’d train the hell out of it! She is just saying it isn’t her problem but it is, it is damaging to ‘her’ dog!! She’s letting the spite cloud what is in her animals best interests. Find it in yourself to fix the dog or split up, don’t do naff all.

It hurt to see that little dog cowering lole an abused dog at a kennel. There is no way I could stay when my dog is quivering in fear and afraid to eat.
Her dog was bullied into not eating, or had his food stolen due to the other dogs food aggression. This isn't about a dog who refuses to eat because he is forced too. Xander will eventually eat because of hunger. The BF simply doesn't want to put in the effort, shows in his dogs overall behaviour
Lyndsey has a very good point. She truly does. She said something about living with Norman not eating for the past year. She also said that she's been living with Norman not eating because of Xander, and now that the gates there Norman can actually eat comfortably, she has a point. He needed light to her world, and he finally got it.

The way he completely shut down and loosened when the boyfriend touched him on the sofa, and the way he clung to the guy’s shoulder and was looking at Lindsey with such wide eyes? That poor little dog was terrified he was going to get thrown into the ground.

Nope. Her having success with Xander just shows that he can be trained. Come on, dude. Enforcing blanket rules for the dogs would be the only compromise on both sides, I think.
Yup, he was giving the distinction that he wanted her to actually be the main and only person to put in the work to train Xander, and him reap the benefits. Could be a good reason why she resisted doing it in the first place. She put in the work with Norman and he needs to do the same with Xander. Help is reinforcing trained behaviors and assisting, not doing all the work.

Sure, the gate was a new thing but Xander wasn't eating specifically because Norman was eating and he didn't like that. Xander is (or was) a complete bully and wanted to make sure Norman wouldn't eat.
When Jason said Xander didn't eat that morning or yesterday morning, I bet he fed Xander at the same time as Norman, this failed attempt at being a bully happening, and then meal time was over when Norman finished eating, not giving Xander a chance to eat afterwards. for real. clearly she had been like "you need to make an effort. i did it with norman, so why wouldn't you take responsibility for xander and do the same thing?" and he just didnt bother.
and the gate might have worked if you just let xander get used to it. it's ridiculous. almost certainly if he gets hungry enough he'll eat and then he'll get used to it. and if he doesnt, then we reassess. like. common sense.
Eric Collins I would have to agree
They were both very frustrated because they had dogs that each of them loved and the dogs were fighting and they didn’t know how to solve it. Neither owner is “trash“, they were both sincerely wanting better but they were unsure how to fix it. Trainers had been hired and quit. If both the dogs have had the same amount of trainers and the trainers spent time training both of them, then why is only Norman trained? What was this guy doing that was so much more important than training Xander while the female was very clearly taking the time to train Norman? Why should the female have to help the guy train Xander when it's clear (from Xander's behavior) that the guy never helped the female train Norman? This guy clearly couldn't even train his own dog until Victoria placed that responsibility onto him; there is absolutely no way that he could've helped her train Norman.
I disagree :/
"This is more than a show for me" Victoria you are awesome, the way you help these little pooches out, it's absolutely heartbreaking to see a dog shut down like that. Keep up the awesome work 🐾🐕✌️
It hurt to see that little dog cowering lole an abused dog at a kennel. There is no way I could stay when my dog is quivering in fear and afraid to eat.
I feel bad for both dogs. And poor lady, I really felt for her. At least she has a happy life now.
Her dog was bullied into not eating, or had his food stolen due to the other dogs food aggression. This isn't about a dog who refuses to eat because he is forced too. Xander will eventually eat because of hunger. The BF simply doesn't want to put in the effort, shows in his dogs overall behaviour
I doubt he even walks the dog. Out of control
That actually made me tear up seeing how scared the dog is and how sad the woman is!
Lyndsey has a very good point. She truly does. She said something about living with Norman not eating for the past year.
She also said that she's been living with Norman not eating because of Xander, and now that the gates there Norman can actually eat comfortably, she has a point. He needed light to her world, and he finally got it.
Her: *cries* I feel like such a bad mom!
Victoria: *nods in agreement*
I was really trying to be serious, then that happens.
I thought Victoria was going to tell her she wasn't.. yeah that never happened
Freudian slip: She definitely feels that she is a bad mom. Rightly so.
Victoria may have thought she was a bad mom cause she stared with the monster boyfriend. I would have kicked him out
men on these shows seem to appreciate their dogs being bad towards their partner's and their partner's dogs! they refuse to neuter their male dogs, they refuse to do any work, they blame everything on the partner or the partner's dog... where are these women even finding these men? the dumpster?
Men are just so overly emotional and probably want their dogs to keep their balls so they can compensate for something.
Typical behavior
i mean, that's the only place u can find men... :v
please dont be duped. this is still a tv show, which means it’s entertainment. what we see is ONLY what they think will drive viewership and that’s conflict, a hero and a villain. even if the truth is that both people are the villains.

I noticed that too and thought of gaslighting instantly, such a toxic boyfriend.
His whole body language is threatening from start to finish. I would not want to be around this guy.
Just watching the whole thing. They act like each other’s worst enemy and don’t trust each other with “their own dogs”
That's not how it went. She's gaslighting, and shutting down everything he says.
Grumbles they both are
Lindsey and Norman were both so uncomfortable around the guy. He definitely abuses Norman when Lindsey isn’t home/around to see it. The way he completely shut down and loosened when the boyfriend touched him on the sofa, and the way he clung to the guy’s shoulder and was looking at Lindsey with such wide eyes? That poor little dog was terrified he was going to get thrown into the ground.
The dogs are two angels that came to show these two that they are NOT made for each other. It seems there is not much love left in this relationship
Her: *Finally has success with Xander and training him*
Him: *this REALLY drives the point home that SHE needs to HELP ME on a DAILY BASIS*
... like toxic much?
Kindred Kate this. Yikes
Nope. Her having success with Xander just shows that he can be trained. Come on, dude. Enforcing blanket rules for the dogs would be the only compromise on both sides, I think.
Yeah that was something......they both needed help tho.
True
Yup, he was giving the distinction that he wanted her to actually be the main and only person to put in the work to train Xander, and him reap the benefits.
Could be a good reason why she resisted doing it in the first place. She put in the work with Norman and he needs to do the same with Xander. Help is reinforcing trained behaviors and assisting, not doing all the work.
I love these shows "it's me or my dog" and "my cat from hell" because the problem is never about the animal and always about the owners ^^
@Pigs and Pipes Aren't they though? Have yet to meet any dog, even in shelter, where bad behavior wasn't majorly influenced by humans. Dogs are after all by nature pack animals and don't just get aggressive for fun.
I dont like cats but i need to watch the cat show out of curioustity of their behaviour
@@GodOfPlague Please do watch it. Most cats are easy to figure out once you just pay attention to what they want and don't like. If you only know dogs, it's sometimes harder to see because dogs are like reactions taken to 10000 but cats Do telegraph. They even make up their own language of sounds SPECIFICALLY to communicate with their owners.
OMG, I love My Cat From Hell!!! Jackson Galaxy just want's to help the Cat's, that's all, he also has Cat's his own too
its me or the dog and my cat from hell are the best shows ever!!!
"love can only go so far" I'm so glad she's with a new man.
I feel so bad for Norman 😭 he’s so silent and cute and sweet, Zander is so horrible to Norman! He just looks so emotionaly depressed when he shuts down
I’m sorry but the boyfriend and his dog would have to go 😂😂😂
Siobhan Connell yep
hey Siobhan, I wouldn't tolerate 20 minutes with the overly histerical Lindsey.... she was atleast 50% responcible for the neurotic behavior of the dogs..."he's going to take MY dog outside alone"....good god
Bubble,I look at the issue from the point of view of the dog with an eye to resolving conflict. Her attitude is incomprehensible to the dog....only a united front from the human owners is. "my behavior elicits totally different reactions in the two humans." her pettiness is counter productive. should the man take a stronger role....YES ! SHE'S RIGHT... THE DOG IS DOOMED
exactly
@@markmclendon8621 but she probably reacts like that because the guy doesn't and never took any responsibilities about his dog.... she no longer knows what to do and she tries to protect her dog! I would have quicker the guy out had he not taken responsibilities training his dog!
It's also very interesting that he wanted her to care so much about his dog, but you didn't even consider what her dog was going through. Him and his dog act just alike
Victoria was weird this episode like she had no problem with xanders aggression over his food wasn't she suppose to work on that too tf
True
I mean they worked on that with the ‘touch’ command to get him less aggressive when people are around his food
All of the dogs that Victoria has ever been around are happy right when she’s at the door, they can sense her good energy 😊
The look in Lindsay's eyes when Victoria says her bf has to leave the apartment with Norman... She looks TERRIFIED and tense. She has suspects about his behavior with that poor dog.
She needed wine to calm down.....
That dude is childish. He was all ‘me, me, me all about me!’ and didn’t care about her nor Norman. She needs to leave him, I hope she did..
I saw a comment saying they looked at their Facebook accounts and she left him and now has 2 kids and he has 1 kid but sadly norman died
That's a narcissistic
@@dy-er8oc i feel bad about norman but she did the right choice to leave that man
Seeing Norman with his head down I instantly burst into tears. The beautiful boy
I like how the training tricks and tips create the bond that creates the empathy for each animal
Norman does not like to be with the boyfriend. Lindsey does not trust the boyfriend.
The boyfriend suggests living in another house just after an argument.
Pets know humans in a much more deeper level. The dog is clearly sounding out the alarm bells.
@Tanya Collett they are not shut up they can't do that but they are cute.
@@PROg-nj3kc yes they are. Please don’t be rude to other commenters :( OP was just giving out their thoughts.
@@PROg-nj3kc They are, there are even scientific studies in progress to study this.
Good thing she left him:))
Exactly.
That boyfriend needs to tossed out. The pay back bit sealed that deal.
She definitely got the makings to be a wonderful mom❤💯
Dude: “So you’re saying you want me to feel bad?”
Girl: “No”
Me: “HELL YESSS”
"Love can only go so far" really dude? Over your dog that you didnt train? I would leave him so quick
i have a feeling that the guy abuses norman when she’s not there. keep an eye out girl, set up cameras
Ah yes because you can tell from a video but Victoria, a DOG TRAINER, didn’t pick up on it.
@@andysmith5806 well, I mean she did say the way the dog shuts down is like situations where they’re abused... it’s a possibility for sure.
ik this was 8 months ago any you probably already know but the woman married somone else, has a kid, and also rescues animals now :) OneEyedEmberTetra found this out i believe
Lol what
@@andysmith5806 Victoria did notice! She said Norman's body language is the one of an abused dog.
Seeing Norman totally shut down, no spark, not having any joy in his life, really broke my heart.
Felt so bad for the dog and his owner when he had to go on a walk with the boyfriend. They both look terrified
That couple NEEDS to break up
Agreed
MRTwizyfizzy yep...I remember seeing the other dog in the background but the focus was on Xander.
@MRTwizyfizzy
What, really? Do you know what episode (this one is 3x03, "The Terrier Takes Manhattan")? If it turns out to be true, it's weird that they didn't address the "Norman being terrorized" thing sooner...
Take your dog and leave that guy, he is sooo annoying
TEA!
😂 sooo true
So is she honestly. Instead of trying to solve the eating problem for both dogs, she only cares about her own and disregards the other. Then when she is confronted about it she breaks into a victim mentality and doesn't try to solve the issue as a team so both dogs feel comfortable eating.
The guy is extremely disrespectful to her.
Honestly I feel like she is more annoying because she is neglecting Xander just because it’s not her dog it’s her boyfriends so she refuses to help with the situation but then complains because he is trying to help them both and she is actually the one driving the husband away she can’t even take criticism when they are telling her to stop with the “MY DOG” “MY DOG IS NOT THE PROBLEM” “YOUR DOGS RUINING MY LIFE” but this is just my opinion... so don’t attack me please
Boyfriend: 7:21 -7:23
Girlfriend: Then leave. peace out
Yeah he was quick to bring up leaving. Shows where his mind and heart really is
I definitely did not appreciate the way her boyfriend acted. At all.
That guy abuses her dog, when she's not there.
Korrin Schilling absolutely
ItsDreftz I agree.
Something happened while she was away....😭 just because people have smiles on their faces and shows “their goodness” doesn’t mean their good people! I question the guy as well..remember it’s 99% the owners faults when it comes to dog behavior
@Lil Beef Steak I agree with you
@Lil Beef Steak "its always the guy"🗿 das what they dont understand🗿
