Lovina is a popular tourist destination located on the northern coast of Bali, Indonesia. One of the main attractions in Lovina is the chance to see dolphins in their natural habitat.
Dolphins are known to inhabit the waters around Lovina, and there are many boat operators that offer dolphin watching tours. These tours typically depart early in the morning, as dolphins are most active at this time.
Our captain of the boat was respectful to the dolphins. He didn’t come very close to them and when he told us we could swim with the dolphin he warned us to jump quietly into the water just not to scare the dolphins. Also after watching them for some time we guessed that the dolphins actually like to swim with boats. It's some kind of fun for them. I recommend watching the dolphins from the boat because the water was a bit unclear and when I dive I didn’t see them at all. But on the other hand just try to swim with a swing from the boat and to sit on the boat’s horns. It’s such a fun!
Don’t forget to take sunscreen! At 9am it starts burning your skin!
After watching the dolphins we went snorkeling nearby. You can see some underwater statues like a turtle or a dolphin, unfortunately corals are not in a good shape and there are not a lot of fish there.
Our tour finished about 10:30 am. After checkout from a hotel on our way back home we decided to go to a Git Git waterfall. We encountered some local guys in the parking lot who offered us their services for 200 000 idr per person. We asked if we can go to the waterfall by ourselves and he told us that yeah, we can. So the entrance fee for the waterfall was only 30000 idr per person.
The waterfall is high and beautiful! But we didn’t have a lot of time there because a heavy rain started. We were waiting for 1,5 hours and then when it got smaller we went to our bike. The way back home was hard because the rain caught us twice in the mountains. Anyway I got my new experience riding down under the rain:)
Definitely recommend going to Lovina to see the dolphins!

    Hi two questions:
    - Do you see the dolphins underwater? Or is it enough to see them from the boat? Does it have any additional value going into the water? Because looks like you can see them better from the boat.
    - Are there any sharks? I'm a bit worried going into the water that's why I'd like to know if it's worth it.

      Hi 👋
No, I didn’t see the dolphins under the water and you are right saying that you can see them much better from the boat 😁but it’s really fun to swim holding the swing on the boat🙂
      - there is no sharks there, only dolphins, some fish and maybe jellyfish. Don’t worry about that
