I just connected all my EE equipment tonight. The gigabit guarantee is 700 Mbps at any time, or I can cancel the contract. I'm already having some issues with the Smart Hub Plus; speed tests show 373 Mbps then 409 Mbps! The same happens with their booster paired with the hybrid Smart Hub! Online, it says there is an issue; they themselves cannot connect to the network! Unbelievable! I just switched from BT full fiber 500, which was horrendous-197 Mbps and 263 Mbps at night. I'm having trouble with it all right now! BT first said the issue was with the box outside on the street; now they want me to arrange an engineer visit to check inside my house when the issue is outside! So I left it as it was, cancelled yesterday, and switched to EE for gaming! A big improvement, but still nothing near the guaranteed speeds! So back on phone tomorrow no doubt!
Thanks for clearing things up for me on the BT hub settings side. I need to now find out how to add it to the opnSense. Also could you help me with the IP range? I am so confused. My main hub sits on 192.168.1.1/24 pool I need to add a new LAN interface on the OpnSense router side(main hub) should I add new ip address range like this 192.168.100.1/24 for LAN that Bt Hub is connected to through the ethernet cable or should I use static IPv4 which would be the 192.168.1.1 for that port and then set up IP range just on the BT HUB: 192.168.100.1/24?
