Why does the moon have to lay directly in the middle, it can be anywhere and it doesn't have to be so big, a mere asteroid is still considered a moon. Even if it seemed to magically have its orbit directly in the center, it would happen that way, for a while. The only times that the tides would get amplified was if the two moons were aligned. If the second Moon also originated from somewhere outside of the Earth's system then its orbit will likely be highly elliptical, and if it is big enough it'll probably affect the moons orbit, possibly making it unstable. It also wouldn't be perfectly showed if the second Moon would be moving away, because it may spiral toward the Earth. If it spirals toward Earth it would be pulled apart into a ring by tidal forces. There would also be more solar eclipses and lunar eclipses, and some of the lunar eclipses will involve the two moons aligning.

Yes, a second moon that's similar in size to our original moon would create a second solar eclipse.
If Earth had 2 or 3 moons, they would be different sizes & have different orbits so, more likely a partial eclipse would happen. If you stood on Mars, you would see Phobos appear as a black spot in front of the Sun, as it passes between the Sun & Mars.
If ever china made a moon it would be very small , maybe 70x smaller and it won't even have a mild effect on tides, neither will emit light to land as China says so!

I get that this video is going off of if the secondary moon were a copy of our current one but, what about other sizes? What about one the size of Pluto, Triton, Ceres, Vesta, ect. I'd like it if someone were to explore those possibilities. All the videos on this topic are on if it were just a carbon copy of our current moon. And what about if it formed along side our current moon rather than being captured later? How would the world look? That would be volumes more interesting. I'm not criticizing you for not exploring that, just posing the idea.

Actually there's one other scenario for a second moon being on earth and that is: The second will probably turn into debris, why so? Because every planet has an area called the Roche limit. So if the second moon would be in the middle of the earth and moon, it would mess with the roche limit of the planet, which the result is: the roche limit of earth would turn the second moon into shreds
