I wish that rappers understood the platform and the power within it. They have the ability to preach and teach. They have the ability to enrich and educate. They should be giving you content that makes you want to rewind, re-listen and ultimately learn. I used to constantly ask my Mom what words meant (she told me to look it up in the dictionary), but she would tell me eventually 😉, from listening to 90’s East Coast rap. Obviously, I later found out they spent a lot of time in the dictionary and thesaurus, as well as learning. In short, rhapsodizing should be an opportunity to uplift, educate, and edify.
