    Hand 15, don't hold a straight flush with 2 gappers.

    Greetings from a cold and windy Torrance! This was a fantastic video! I did miss a few, but I am glad you pointed out the difference between Jacks or Better and Bonus Poker. Would love to see you do more videos like this for Double Double and other games. Thanks again Mike! Great Job!

    I'm happy to say I learned a lot from your channel. I did miss one, the KQ9s I picked KQs only because of the royal potential. 20/21 isn't bad though. Thank you for explaining and picking difficult hands. Would love to see more videos like this.

    I'm pretty confident in my JoB/BP game...sadly, I missed [only] 2....4/15. I did get bonus rite, although I did not kno that that hand differs between games! That was fun....👍

    Thanks...I always just use 9/6 jacks strategy when playing bonus but I do know there are a few slight differences. Keep up the great work!

      Same! I think the costs isn't that great but I only play it if the bonus poker has a lot better payout. If it's close I stick with Jacks as it's better to play what you know so you have best EV imo.

    3:24 Hand #8: We were dealt 4 cards to an open straight, but decided to hold the pair of 7s instead. Was it because the potential straight pays only 20? Pray enlighten me.
    4:08 Hand#10: We were dealt 4 cards to a flush but decided to hold a pair of Qs for a guaranteed win. Would you recommend holding the potential flush cards at all?

    Do you hold 3 to the royal at 5:12 but not 3 to the royal at 5:40 because at 5:12 the other 2 cards are already a winning pair (jacks) and the earlier hand's last 2 cards are a pair of 8s?
    Also, in hand #15 you hold the 3 diamonds towards a straight flush with no high card but not in #17 because there is a high card? #learningsomuch #thankyou!

      For the 3 to a royal, yes. Winning pair > 3 to royal > low pair.
      For the 3 to a straight flush, if there is a double gap in the straight flush draw along with one or two high cards in different suits, then it’s better to hold the high cards. If there is only 1 gap or zero gaps in the straight flush draw, then it’s best to go for the draw, even if high cards are available.

    What would you say would be the top 3 or 4 games to learn so I can pretty much (80-90%) of the time can walk into a casino and be able to play the best pay table?

    • @ClubMikeV
      @ClubMikeV  6 месяцев назад +1

      I always recommend that new players start with Jacks or Better. It’s easy and is low in volatility. Learning that can help you branch out to other variants like Bonus, Double Bonus, and DDB. Deuces Wild would be the second one to learn. Those are the 2 I recommend first. If your goal is to play the game with the best pay table at a given casino, then the 3rd game to learn would be that specific game. Most of the time, it’s going to be some variation of Jacks or Better or Deuces Wild.

    We hold JQ on hand #2 because of a straight potential?

    • @johncalvo1743
      @johncalvo1743 7 месяцев назад

      Yes. But that is just in case. The main reason is because you have 2 high cards. Your goal is just to get your money back.

      I have explained it in more detail in many of my other videos both older and newer. Also, the traffic light on the lower right of the screen is the training mode, which confirms that all of the holds in every hand of this video are correct. So I don’t get how you can disagree with the computer, which has done the math for us to determine the best cards to hold for any 5 card deal.

    Announcing the cards wasn't necessary

      Shut your mouth. There are people like me who drive trucks for a living therefore, announcing is necessary while we listen and drive.

      Helpful for beginners who need to go slow to see what’s going on.

      I thought the same. Explaing why you keep those cards is what I wanted to know when I was a beginner.
