    Dump Gen-II and make Gen-III available for $20k. I would buy now to help an old Man (me) with daily chores.

    I follow the advances in prosthetics since the 70's, specifically for hands and upper limbs, and a first-rate hand prosthesis costs around $100,000. How can Tesla sell an entire robotic humanoid figure with 22dg hands for less than $100K? These are interesting times!

    • @iijokerzace
      @iijokerzace День назад +2

      I'm not an expert but I believe with prosthetics it's very expensive due to being custom made for each person while they will be mass producing the same parts which dramatically helps in costs. Probably way more factors to consider but this is just a quick assumption.

    • @Jupiter31416
      @Jupiter31416 День назад +2

      @@iijokerzace I agree with you in part - consider the most recent companies, for example, Bebionic, which manufactures a state-of-the-art hand prosthesis. They basically provide 3 models: a smaller one, for children, and two models for adults (men and women). The first prostheses (made in the mid-60s and 70s) were more customized. I think what explains the cost reduction, is, in fact, the large-scale production - because there are many more potential buyers of humanoid robots (I would be one of them!) than people needing a prosthesis.

    • @giannidefranco3050
      @giannidefranco3050 День назад

      A humanoid robot mustn't be compatible with human body, materials and functions are totally different also they aren't customized but just a copy and past of the prototype, large production made them cheaper.

      Because the medical industry takes advantage. Parts for an entire robot are less than 5k. So, Elon is cashing in now.

    I see no point in offering two different robot models if their capabilities are vastly different. What’s the use of a domestic robot that can’t handle all household tasks? Efforts should focus on reducing the price of the best model and discontinuing the others. It’s preferable to pay $30,000 or $40,000 for something that can do EVERYTHING efficiently rather than spend "only" $20,000 on one that can barely handle 60% of the tasks.
    Looking forward to seeing one of these available for purchase in the Brazilian market. ;)

    I saw Optimus He looks like fun..My Grandson wants one..lol..His dad when My Grandson wan a baby years back was drawing flying car designs ..My own uncle designed cars for Chrysler Corporation in the 1970s when I was a little girl myself .and my grandson has it in his DNA to be very intuitive, tenacious, intelligent,he's always noticing details,he was building something with his grampa and he told his grampa that his grampa put a part on backwards.My grandson is very young boy and he knows how to read ,follow building instructions, critical thinking,excellent visualization skills,able to work with other children..he helps his friends when they don't quite understand something in Roadblocks,he likes teaching them how to solve the issues in the game..and he makes his friends laugh..he is very well liked..😂😎He and his friends are very talented little boys..😊
    These are future adults in a high AI tech future..Very confident Children..😎

    Need a domestic bot that can act as a senior assistant/guardian. Do household chores and assist elderly people with normal daily tasks, bathing, dressing, shaving, brushing teeth, fixing simple meals, doing dishes, keeping track of appointments, giving out medicine accuratley. Keeping track of bills due, paying bills, balancing check book, etc. basic financial home bookwork. Having your own assisted living facility at home. Maybe taking care of two or three pople in the same household.

    They should go with 3 processors in the brain of Gen 3....not just 2. Deepsink is one, but lo & behold they got better ones now and by the time I write this there will probably be better ones still. But, what if you could get quantum computing in the brain of Optimus? Heck yeah, right! Probably that would be agi one good day or beyond.

  • @Michael-s5t9d

    Regarding the cost for around 80k, would it be to participate in swimming with a family or it would be more likely to cost around luxury car a quarter of a million, then it would be out of reach for many especially families and most single income people. People take pets with them on holidays, how well then robot can be in an environment of being useful not only as a butler but also as a companion as well. If that is the case only few would be able to afford it or own several of them, while others will never live that long to even be able to see what robots are even capable of, only because of the value for money ratio

    Tesla Bot Monetization:
    Unlike human workers, once a skill is mastered by one Tesla bot, it can be easily shared with others (thus, rapidly accelerating skills). Owners of Tesla bots can treat these skills like today’s software apps, opting to distribute them either freely in an open-source manner or monetize them. This means that Tesla bots can become a source of income for their owners or trainers. Instead of AI ‘physical’ automation eliminating jobs, it could lead to the creation of new job opportunities centered around training and selling these skills.
    Basic General Skills In-demand:
    * Life-saving emergency skills
    * Domestic-helping skills
    * Security
    * Cleaning & Laundry (folding clothes, etc)
    * Cooking
    * Other house chores (packing, lifting heavy objects, etc.)
    * Home & Health Care (especially for the sick & elderly)
    * ?
