- Three people are facing over 50 charges in connection to a pair of Toronto-area carjackings. As Brandon Rowe reports, one of the accused is a 17-year-old boy.
The youth offenders act needs to be changed. Hearing a lot of 15, 16 and 17-year-olds doing horrible stuff with guns and violence. Why should a 16 or 17-year-old be treated as a juvenile when they conduct such crimes?

Why are their identities protected when they clearly show no disregard for their actions while protected as a minor?
Repeat offenders who shows clear signs of not learning their ways shouldn't be given that much mercy by the judicial system.

I can not help wondering what the background of these criminals is? How do teenagers come to be owners of such weapons - where and who are their parents? If these people were not born in Canada, they should be deported if found guilty!
I agree with the people who think there should be no bail - anyone accused of a violent crime should not be released until they have stood trial. Of course, that would mean putting money and priority on improving our courts so that people do not wait many months before their trial.

The guy that killed the innocent women walking along the street was out on bail as well. Liberals implemented a bill to grant bail freely to dangerous criminals.

The blackening of Canada and its consequences
This issue isn't about race. It is a poverty and community issue... absent fathers, mother's working multiple jobs and unable of ill-equipped to help with homework, lack of male role models, direction and agency over future and life goals, thus finding family and sense of self and power in gangs. A disrespect for law enforcement and the wider community because of a disconnection from city pride and Canadian values and nationalism is also an issue to be addressed.

What is the point of these reports when every single time the one detail that everyone watching wants to know is omitted? Is this a legal matter that the suspect's identities must be protected before they have been convicted in court to preserve the presumption of innocence (despite the crime being captured on video _and_ law enforcement having sufficient probable cause to arrest them)?
Can any legal professionals speak as to whether or not this is the case? If not, do you know the reason behind the identities of the suspects not being published in the media?

Bet they are free already. Friend gave them the car. They ran as they thought the police were car jackers and the firearms belong to the friend who gave them the car. They are just innocent by-standers. Their parents are so proud of them.
