Even 60K imo 50K tops maybe a little bit more for fully loaded but even then that's a lot! These cars are so overpriced that's why they're all sitting on the lots with no buyers. 🤦♂️
@@d2xy.0 it takes 8-9 months. You can now special order a basic 2024 C-8 at MSRP for 69k. I’m sure not every dealer in the country, but I know two guys with orders. One at a PA dealership, the other in western Ohio.

Three reasons they aren't selling: (in order of most importance to least)
1) They're a target for thieves.
2) Too expensive. And markups.
3) High interest.
They also get extra attention from law enforcement. You can get away with things in a Camry that you can't in one of these vehicles. Also, insurance is going to seriously cost you. You're going to pay more than double overall compared to a regular vehicle.
They also are the same old car
Thief is definitely the #1 reason. My shit was stolen July 23. People are now selling their mopars like crazy in the DMV because of this problem.

1968 - 1969 (Best years), GTX, Roadrunner, Coronet Superbee, they all had spartan interiors. People did'nt buy them for the interior design, they wanted the strong motor and the torqueflight transmission. Not much has changed.

I have a 2018 Charger and the fact that Dodge kept everything the same is what I like about having one! I enjoy watching POV’s with people in 2022 or 2023’s saying to myself “that’s what I have” is pretty cool! To me this generation of Chargers, Challengers & 300’s are the best Mopars ever made! I don’t think they are dated at all! Love what you’re doing bro!
This is the first I have heard about an interior update should have been done on charger challenger or the beautiful 300 with that clock are timeless.
I'm not going to lie, if I was spending 70 or 80 thousand dollars on a car I would definitely be picky about the inside of the car - (that's just me tho) - but I don't have that problem, because I don't have that kind of money 😂😂 - i own a Challenger, a Mustang, and a Camaro - but i am not spending 70 thousand dollars on one car - maybe 2 but not 1
Overpriced. The scat pack you bought was sold for under 40, grand 2018. They were z40,grand where in the heck did they think a scat pack was worth what a hellcat was selling for? Nobody is trying to over pay. So nobody is buying unless you’re a dumb person.
I think it’s time to start talking dealers down. Don’t matter how they look on the inside. They not selling because of the amount.
I know about 5 guys that stopped buying dodge. 1 has a gtr the other a gsf and the other a 63amg . Not sure about the other 2. Definitely not the interior. And the price is the reason. But a lot of people arent coming back. My hommie put a super charger on his gsf and the car is better them a hellcat and faster lighter and cheaper even after the mods
I agree with it being about the price, along with high interest rates, insurance payments, and high inflation. The crazy gas prices and high theft rates don’t help either. I like the all black leather seats and the overall comfort of these cars.
I have had several people inside my 2023 300C and they have loved the interior of the vehicle. The issue with Scats and Hellcats are that dealers are marking over MSRP during a time when gas is over $4.50 a gallon for 91 octane and interest rates are up. But the interior on the 300C to me, is beautiful.
I ordered my Scat and got it at MSRP for 52k. The key was I used my credit union and got a good interest rate. I refuse to pay anything over 55k for a car! Gotta be smart when buying these cars. The banks aren’t backing these deals!

They cost way too much ! That’s the reason why they on the dealers lot , too much markups! And if you are crazy enough to pay a car note for $1800 a month , knowing that you still gotta eat and pay or mortgage or rent you crazy! That’s why so many are getting repossessed. More power to those who pay the markups , in 6 months you probably will be living inside ya hellcat or scat 😂😂real talk !

Hem, you be having me rollin, "I'm at my favorite spot, the gas station." I agree with you, the only reason those cars aint moving is because they are overpriced and the interest rates are high. The interiors are fine. I dont like all those new gadgets because those things make your ride high maintenance more expensive stuff to fix when it breaks. I'm old school, it has power, leather seats, roof, nice system, comfortable ride I'm good.

I love the interior of my daytona. Ventilated/heated Alcantara memory seats, motorized steering wheel, automatic reverse mirrors, electric driver and passenger seats, ect...

Facts! I live in MN and we get hella snow , but hell if the hellcat was priced right I would buy it. Just had to be smart though, so im stuck with an awd charger that fits my budget. It is what it is til inflation levels out.

The interior is GREAT
especially on the challenger-- the car is designed to be "dated". Futuristic interiors like what mustang is doing takes away a "muscle car" look. Oh an that's why on the cloth interior youll notice the pattern on it. Its houndstooth, copied from the original pattern of the day

My SRT Durango is cool and everything but I did have, a few years ago, a 2016, Granite Graphite Gray, V6, Chrysler 300S, Alloy Edition. I loved that car. Just wasn’t enough power for me so then I bought a couple of Challenger RT’s and stepped my game up to the SRT Durango. I would still go back to a 300C like you have or an older…. Yes, older SRT8 Chrysler 300. Good job brother. Keep doin it!!!!!🤗
The inside looks great. The high prices are a big problem.
When I got my 392 Challenger, my primary needs were to have the biggest engine 392/6.4 ✅, wider tires 275's (it compliments the look of a car) ✅, color (Go Mango) ✅ and no sunroof ✅. The interior of this car wasn't even on my mind when I was getting this car.
I think that it's the price and the interest rate why they are not selling.
For the interior, they are comparing it to other cars in the same price. When they first came out at 70k there wasn't any competition in that price range but at 100k well now you get into the rs5 m5 and amgs which believe it or not are actually faster than a hellcat. The nicer interior and platform is just a bonus.

@cutime6712 horse power isn't everything, plus BMW has a nasty habit of under rating their engines so that 617 often times is closer to wheel hp and not crank and that 797 is more loke 710 to the wheels so put them both of a dyno the difference isn't as big as the brochure would say. Plus the m5 is a good bit lighter than a hellcat I mean there are drag video of them 2 side by side and well the BMW walks the hellcat.

My boy paid 70k for a dark gray wide body 392 2022. Only has like 9k miles ; it already has damage .
The mustang is about to take everybody's lunch cuz it's going to be the only new V8 available again since before 06 when the charger and challenger came back.
I don't understand all the hate on the interiors, they look just as good as they did in 2014

I agree a lot of people don’t have they own mind and they can’t afford it . I came from a mustang and live mustangs but I love my scat as well I’m going back to mustang only because I live mustang but I get so many compliments on my scat except from haters I love all make and models of cars .
Only reason prices are high on these is Dodge is killing them. If they fired the production line up and started pumping out Scats and Hellcats the prices would drop.
Nowadays everybody has seen the interior of the competition and Chrysler/Dodge got left in the dust. They carried it over for 10 years 😮

The main reason they aren't selling is that the dealers are trying to rip people off, adding hundreds and thousands of dollars over MSRP.

No way would I pay $70K for any Dodge, they would have to pay me to drive it. Better cars to be had.
Part of it is also due to their high prices, they are more expensive than similar mustangs and camaros
Dealers in HI trying to get $72K OTD for a NB Scat. They can go pack sand, Ill keep my 2020 Scat , low loan balance , extended warranty and my 2% rate.
Just bought me a Challenger, F8 Swinger Spec / Edition, price was not far from the HC slim body, but the Scat I bought had the Wide Body, & it is plenty fast enough, for my ole ass, but reference to your conversation, yup, ole school tech, but for me I luv what I bought, I live in Florida, would of liked the pleather seats, rather than the material mine came with, but with these Last Call Special Editions, you have ZERO choice, they made 500 F8 Greens Challengers all Automatic, 200 White Knuckle, all automatics, 300 Sub-Lime Green 150 6 speed, 150 Automatic, all 1000 Challengers are Wide Body, Gold School markings, a Swinger decal across the trunk, & Scat Pack badging on the spoiler, as for the Chargers, all automatics, & mirror on the color counts. But marked up, some chit head dealerships in Central & South Flo, anywhere from 5k to 20k markups. The main reason, these cars are sitting on the lots, 2 reasons, #1 Interest rates, #2 Slim bodies, all the Special Editions, Wide Bodies & Wide Body regular Scats or HC, are very rare & hard to find, dealerships know the consumers want the Wide Bodies, & from driving both sleds, I wouldn't own the slim body, I am impressed with the handling of these WB sleds, & I owned Trans Ams, Formula 350's etc, Gr8 Video.....

In my opinion along with the prices being too high on some of them i think the fear of getting robbed or worse over a scat or a cat has driven a lot of people away from those cars i could be wrong but it’s been a big reason i don’t want to go for one anymore especially in my city. My RT has been good enough for me

I think Dodge over produced these vehicles
V8 Mopars are overpriced because of the government. Chrysler pays billions of dollars in EPA emissions credits to even be able to offer the Hemi as an option. Chrysler has to pass that down to the consumer…

Not selling because they’re often thirsty gas guzzlers, prices are high enough where only rich people can afford them but who would want something this expensive (not including the outrageous markups) to have an outdated interior? Also high risk carjacking targets.
Compare different between the foreign new and Mopar, we are out dated. All you have to do is look. We/me buy Dodge because of power,crazy fun and the community.

They’ll buy a 1969 dodge charger and be proud to drive it. What about that interior that’s not outdated give me a break you’re right.
Its not just dodge they complain about, they do the same to the mustang they say that the screens and the back end of the car turn them off from buying it, these complaints come mostly come from mustang fans and people who currently own last year's model, my opinion is that they know the new model is better than theirs or they simply can't afford one so they find faults with the cars💯

People are going broke my guy. I see used scats and hellcats at Mazda dealerships now. Subaru and Honda dealerships. Toyota. People can't afford the price. The gas . The insurance. People are trading them in for something easier to pay for.
I had the choice between a 65k used redeye and a 2024 mustang for 58k.. and I promise you I went with the mustang simply because the hellcat's interior is unpleasing and looks old..
I’m not paying 60,000 or 70,000 for Hellcat or scat back. For Those prices I can get a Lexus that parks itself, heated and cooled front and rear seats heated steering wheel !! Ect.! And yes my Hell cat better look like a Lexus if I’m paying 70,000 Dollars.!
The Italian owners neglected Chrysler Dodge in favor of Alfa Romeo. I blame Fiat for this situation.

You can use 87 in a RT I always used 89 or better but you can use 87.

@@HemiMuscle Tru. That's what I have. 87 BP runs good and last longer. In a pinch I'll run Shell in her. My advice fellas don't ever run EXXON. It burns faster for some reason. At least it's been my experience.
Another reason the hellcats may not be selling is that they may have been dogged out by the previous owner. I would only buy one if the hellcat is new
1.) Dealerships marking the price up well over MSRP
2.) The manufacturer continues to raise the base MSRP every year without making any real updates to the cars
3.) Volatile economy
4.) Insane inflation (Bidenomics)
5.) High interest rates even with good credit (Bidenomics)
6.) Banks aren't lending like they used to. Even with good credit, it's hard to get approved for these cars without huge down payments (Bidenomics).
7.) Consumers are afraid for their safety due to vehicle thefts and carjacking of modern Mopars being so common place. For most people, it's not worth having that target on your back, especially if you have a family to keep safe.
Manufacturers adding all the bs that no one wants, and it jacks up the msrp. These are the same things that keep failing and costing more on other items in the car that they affect.
Interior colors, black or black ! The high price of 91-93 octane gas, high insurance, the new FORD Mustang !

I saved up to get a scatpack and I went and talked to a dealer and asked what kind of deal I can get id be paying cash. He says we don’t like to take cash we would rather finance the car and I’m like seriously? They wanna sell them for 2 times what it’s worth to people gullible enough to do it.
Find another dealer. With the rates these cars are going and mark ups they are not selling! And someone will be more than willing to take any cash. 😭

Greed. They want the kickback on the interest for however long someone finances , especially if it's through Chrysler. Paying cash is a one shot deal for them.
You could also negotiate the price you are willing to pay, take out the loan if they are gonna be dicks like that. As soon as your 1st payment due, pay the fucker off and tell the dealer go pack sand! 😂😂😂😂

The interiors look just as good or better than many other cars priced in the same ranges. My 2023 Hellcat has an Alcantara steering wheel, Alcantara headliner, double stitched dash, door trim and center console, double stitched Luguna leather seats with Hellcat Logos, SRT floor mats with color matching beads and Jailbreak dash emblem. Heck what else can you ask for!

I would not pay 70k for a Hellcat Charger or Scat due to the crime, and the bad look it has gotten from knuckle heads take overs. Just seem like a lot of trouble between profiling or people looking to take your ride. Plus there is tons of videos of people getting a v6, engine swapping, it cost less and can do more. I don't see the valve. As for Doug video this guys drive lambos, bugattis, all kinds of rides. I'm sure if I was use to driving cars like that maybe these sort of cars would look cheap, but its a middle class ride. Regardless great video as always! I'm glad people are voting with there wallets they need to chill on some of these mark ups.
