The downside when your parent admired singers like Regine, they will push their daughter to be like her and let them study music. Just like what happened to me. LOL Like it will never happened. After that when she got home bringing that proud news everything flew smoothly in her carrier. Always at the top list until now. She has no one to compare yet. She is the only one.
If only we can freeze Regine's age we would. She is one of a kind in this WORLD. She admitted to Boy Abunda in her interview that her voice is not as reliable as before and she works harder now that she is aging. She even once became so proud that even she is experiencing problem with her voice she sang several hard songs in her concert (25th anniversary in the business) to prove to others that she still got it. She ended up singing her songs horribly and her fans sang with her to make her feel better because she couldn't sing anymore because she completely lost her voice that night. She said it was a humbling experience and realized why she is celebrating her 25th year as a singer.
Most of Regine's performances during her prime were really intended to lack expressions because that's how she entertained her Filipino audience. She's known for stunning her Pinoy audience with her impressive vocal range and ability to effortlessly belt death-defying high notes and that's what people are always looking for on each of her performances.
