Craig tube. You got me into brewing and now I'm an all grain brewer but I still love going back and doing a simple Cooper's dark ale kit. Your a legend in homebrewing across the globe
Another great video Craig :) Cool as usual. Sad your yeast caved in on you, but 2 years on one vial of yeast is very impressive. Great work by both you and the yeast :D Cool beer reviews you make so keep those videos coming to us :D 17 and regards to you and your family.
Two years of beer brewing out of the same yeast has got to be some sort of record. (Maybe not a “Guinness” Record but still impressive) Congrats! That’s really awesome.
Hay man keep her lit, brewed up a cascade ale today, also just finished a Cooper's golden crown lager that turned out great, thoroughly enjoyable beer. 🍻
You inspired me to start brewing my own, and since I could not go out and spend all my money because of covid crap I decided to go all in. Grainfather, coopers kits, raw grain ,milling machine, cryo and pellet hops, a mix of yeasts. I already have all the equipment for yeast science, I still make my own rum whisky gin and vodka, but it has become boring. Beer has so much more possibilities and I love really good beer, not bland stuff like Canadian , Coors, or Blue. I want to be able to make something like Sparkle puff triple IPA, and even If I mess it up a bit, I can always make it into vodka, but I just finished my first coopers, and WOW its good. Thanks for turning me on to this, Much love from a fellow Canadian, and if I'm not mistaken, a fellow Ontarian.
For some reason I can't watch any one else sit down and talk about beer. You on the other hand Craig, you're different. Somehow you make it very enjoyable. Cheers 🍻
Great update as usual and a good beer review, although I suspect that you are tasting the spices as pumpkin on it's own tastes of very little (well in my opinion 😉) 🤣. Yeasts do tend to evolve and if you aren't using it in a seriously controlled environment you do have to be careful to keep it's characteristics. I dump my S-04 when it starts to slide in the bottom of the fermentor rather than sticking firmly to the bottom. Stay safe, ICAN, cheers, Schnuz.
Great to see you man. Have you thought about freezing your yeast? You basically get a pack of your favorite yeast and make a big starter. Let the yeast multiply for a couple of days before you harvest it. Now you split it up into a bunch of test tubes, submerge it in some glycerine based cryo liquid thingy and put it in the freezer. Martin from The Homebrew Challenge shows it well in his amber kellerbier video (watch?v=WYVpB3Htq6A&t=1s). Takes some effort at first but concidering you could get I don't know how many years of use out of this it's probably time well spent.
Another good video! It's incredible your yeast lasted that long. What brand name did you get your yeast from? White labs? Fermentis? Imperial? Lallemand? Cheers!
New shirt "Craig Tube I brew but I don't review!" Actually, the goal of a review is to help viewers experience the beer vicariously, you do that better than most. Cheers. Cant wait until you get brewing again.
I'm still on the sidelines about home brews. I love craft beers, IPA's etc. I'm not a fan of flavored at all l have tried many. I keep reading how home brews have a cidery taste and that bothers me because I don't like cider not evern a little bit.

Craig! How goes sir?
If you could only drink one brand/type of beer for the rest of your life what would it be?
I am a Guinness man myself so it has to be Guinness 🍻
Double IPA
Where is the chocolate beer video 😀
What is 17 .?
$12 yeast that lasts longer than car tyres 🤔
Does anyone know if this guy is a beer reviewer?
They only like one type of beer because it’s just a steady alcohol delivery device.
Haha! 17 brother
