I'm so glad you've kept up the survival guide! A lot of other people have switched to almost entirely "rumors" kinds of videos and I'm not big into that. You've taught me a lot about Minecraft over the years and I look forward to more!
Yeah, I can’t do the rumour mill stuff. At a certain point it feels like you end up wilfully misrepresenting the game, or building up people’s expectations only to have them let down. I don’t have the temperament to do that just for the sake of views and engagement
@Pixlriffs its appreciated pix I know it can be hard to keep to your own standards when peers are taking the easier way sometimes when it comes to gaining views
Not only does it make false hopes, but these false hopes attract toxic people who are proven to be toxic by comparing them to constructive people who actually care about changing the game
@@piyush_raptor I honestly managed to think he had attached the pale hanging moss to the underside of the rock, I think my brain illusioned that into being in the thumbnail lol I do still think that would look really cool tho
I love that ambient sounds can be taken out of their home biome and used anywhere, now! It would be so cool to have that for weirder sounds like the distant screeches in the Warped forest etc!
sound ambience is nice, but i feel like wool blocks should also be able to block sound ambience, not just the sound game mechanism. imagine being able to soundproof hearing a jukebox for example, so that you could have a tavern where downstairs has a jukebox playing, but anyone upstairs in the rooms cannot hear it.
to expand on this, imagine if wool blocks could block the sounds of mobs. have mob farms where it isn't "turn your mob sounds off" just to go near it. or maybe make traps where people cannot hear the skeletons nearby
It was great seeing you finishing up started projects and renovating those builds. I myself a completionist feel the urge so much to renovate on the past builds you have done. ❤
That is one of the best ships I have ever seen. Lately I have been addicted to building floating islands but I suck at terraforming so this episode would really help me out. I would appreciate if you make an episode in the future dedicated to floating islands.
That's a detail I considered, but decided against. I have a hay bale in the chimney above though, it makes the campfire smoke rise higher when the automatic smelter array is working :)
This video immediately got me inspired to go & throw together some of these nether/pale vine farms in my own world! i'm going to fill my harbour with Pale Oak leaves & Hanging Moss in hopes of giving it that rickety feel! 🚢
i want to note that at first i could not hear the creaking until you turned up the block sounds so further testing with sounds slider connection may need to be tested. (unless others have already confirmed this)
Is the mast hollow, can you stack leaves, vine, leaves, mine down the center of cwnter of the mast to get the creaking above you and see if its directional? May need an air block between?
I think hanging roots need to be sheared instead of silk touched, but yes! Just need a dispenser to bonemeal the root block, an observer to detect the roots beneath being sheared, and something to connect the two :)
@@ZYPHER-Z13 I used to have a patron server, but I closed it down a few years ago. Do you have any tips for getting diamonds a bit faster in Minecraft? I have been trying to max out my Netherite armor for a while but it is a bit of a hassle to strip mine 😅
@Pixlriffs it Is, because when a Minecraft world reach to an advanced level it Need a certain level of expertise or Minecraft skills , if a player is so skilled then why he/she needs a guide video series.? I love your videos and you are a good teacher the details and style of covering everything on the under discussion topic is awesome. The past few drops are a lot like a phone vs the brand new model: Isnt pale moss the same as moss? No Isnt wild flowers the same as pink petals? No Isnt leaf litter the same as pink petals? No Take my money!!! (See, kinda the same thing XD)
@@TycerKirk you have a fair point but I don’t think recycled is the proper word for it. I think ‘reimagined’ should be be better way to sum up what Minecraft is doing.
@@TycerKirk The whole point of drops is that they’re small updates, expanding what we already have. Big new ideas will come along in major updates. The only difference is we don’t have to wait a whole year to get the small stuff

I'd wondered why the ship was in the thumbnail, but now I understand why. What a *fantastic* idea to use the ambient sounds like that!
Yeah, I didn't think the pale hanging moss farm made a very attractive thumbnail 😅 but it really does transform the ship build in a unique way!
@@Pixlriffs when i saw the ship in the thumbnail i thought you were going to build the farm inside the island to make a good use of that space

I do like the direction Mojang is moving in regards to ambience and decorations. Appreciate the very handy and simple contraptions!
For the forge portion…You can hide a single lava block in the wall for the noise aspect like you mentioned with the creaking blocks and the boat.

To be honest, I would've never thought about using this stuff vor such an ambience. Great Idea :D

The floating island is built in episodes 83 and 84 of this series!
@@Pixlriffs Ok thanks. I will go back and watch them. Maybe I missed those episodes.
pale hanging moss seems like it goes well with cobwebs for the ambient grayscale stuff, especially with stone or tuff structures
great vid 👍
Love it. the new vines are definitely gonna be good for Halloween builds.
I've never thought of sound design for builds before, definitely a eye opener. Also you can reach a extra block when crouched 😮
your builds always amaze me!
I'm currently working on a pirate cove build. I am absolutely going to use these ambient sounds in it now. Thanks Pix!
Dialling in the ambience. Nice!
This is really clever! I’m amazed.
It was planned. He knew this was coming and waited on messing with the ship until he could add the sound 😂
Very excited for automatic honey block creation w/ crafters!
The forge parrot 💜 so glad you liked the idea

Get a life lil bro

@haunted_magma2073 yes! Putting these around a wharf or pier would be great - some dried seaweed dangling from below, and amazing ambient sounds
Pale hanging moss also looks like dead ivy, extra long roots. It's so good
It blends in with the island rocks
A Day isn’t Complete without a Riffs 👌
Hi pix, I recently tuned into a livestream, you might remember me, great vid.
He's not ready to be a hermit yet. He still builds backs.
I think eyeblossoms and creaking hearts also make ambience sounds in certain situations

You could hide the anvil armor stand
I don't have any data packs or commands enabled in this world, so I don't have access to the functions that let you hide armour stands. They aren't available in Minecraft by default.
I cannot even find a pale garden
Check out episode 111 for advice on how to find one! You could also use chunkbase to search for one if you're happy looking up stuff about your world.
Shader please
I don't use shaders on this series; the goal is to provide a guide to unmodified vanilla Minecraft.

@@The4BsPodcast that’s why I think an approach like this works: it’s *combinations* of blocks, and it’s subtle. Jukeboxes only play music discs

When you make a nether portal, you should only use water and lava so it's easy. For speedrunners.
Did you see an azalea tree in the pale garden because i happened to find one
