This doesn’t show the whole thing, this is just the public transportation that local people take everyday to work or go school and you can say where you want but our public transportation system is really easy access and can take you wherever the hell you want for nothing. Safe a lot of money.
Because that is one of the poorest places in dominican republic- same as in many other countries there is poor and rich ...touristic places are beautiful in dominican republic ..
Hi Mr. Tim! I'm in Boca Chica, and I've heard about your video. I don't live here, and I'm on vacation. It's nice you made this video, since my entire family is Spanish. Are you on a vacation? I leave tomorrow!
Nothing wrong with this. I agree some of the buses/vans appear to be run down/worn out. But quite a few of them look nice enough too. Either case I would find it interesting to travel with them. Remember: adequate is better than perfect, cost-wise. In a country that is not extremely rich this is a very good transportation system.
@Nico _ Meanwhile there appears to be a demand for these vans and buses, or else they would not be there... Good for the Dominican Republic that they are looking into providing better transport services. I have seen Timosha21's video of the subway in Santo Domingo and it looks like a really clean and well run system.
@@Virre737 If there is crime involved that needs to be confronted of course. Just from looking at the videos I cannot say that the van drivers are mafioso or murderers. They look like people trying to make a living.
These tiny Buses are the only way to go I guess those streets are too small for the 35 ft. And 40 ft. Buses like that we have in America and other countries
Wow! What a hole!!! I think I'll pass on going anywhere near here!!!

Most of the vans are Chinese vans. But some are Hyundais and Toyota Coasters.

@@streetcar6896 Open/removed doors make it easier to get on and off the vans. It may not be ideal but I can see the logic.
