The new Corolla GR motor would be nice too. I’d assume it would be a bit pricey, but more than enough power for that chassis. Finding a wrecked one to swap over into the 86.

You should put the 1st gen MR2 supercharged, 4AGZE, into it!! It's a quick, drop in, and clean install!!

Totally want to see the AE86 build on the channel. As for engines let the miata keep the rotary, and as good as the beams is and sounds loads of RUclipsrs are doing that or have done that recently. I’d love to see a fully built 1600 motor. But whatever you decide it’s gonna be awesome 🚗💨

Yes, this is an amazing project, you should do a father son build. I can see a kind of resto mod original looking car with all the modern components to make it a really fun car to drive and a beauty on the road
I think that would be a dope ass build!!! A supercharged BEAMS would be different, I know Blitz has a kit for that engine.

Do the build, and I would love to watch. Keep the 4 age motor it will be the best. If you can turbo that motor, it will run strong. That is my thoughts on the idea, but all ideas aside, you do you we as the followers we will watch and support your idea. 👍👍
Would love to see what can be done to modernize the original engine. Make it even more bulletproof. Heard they can rev pretty high too.
It would be awesome to see you build the Corolla on the channel. I love the idea of making it a nice daily car. It’s really neat to see the brand new cars and one off parts or prototype parts used on the channel but would be awesome to see something maybe a little more reasonable (financially) to most of the viewers you have. I was hoping the $300 300zx was going to be that build but you’ve taken that thing and are making it a super nice show car. Love the content though! Have a nice day.

Do a simple build, pretty stock, to show us how is done good but on a budget
you should also think about dropping a 4agze which is a supercharged version that will drop right in or a 5 valve silver or black top

Ricky the best na motor swap for this car is a 4age 20v black top. Itbs more hp then stock and so fun. And if your building it go to battle garage or mrp ltd in new Zealand barry manon us awesome and specializes in 4age stuff and 86 stuff. Swap is super easy just need to convert wiring. Which battle garage had a halech wire harness set up for blacktop 20v 86 conversion. I being the owner of 3 ae92 coupe 88 corolla gts. I have 20v st and friend had ²0v blacktop. This is the way to go for na daily fun. And the itb scream is amazing

Firstly Ricky I’d like you to make more videos on the miata car and the ae86, leave the stock motor in the car or swap the heads to the 20 valve heads from the early 2000’s models with a 6speed manual gearbox (the RXI models) or you could swap a runX motor in this thing (2zz with the Yamaha head from factory) oh and put the 86 as a full build on the channel
As long as she is built traditional, with the maximum power that the 86 platform could handle. As close to OEM drivetrain

I’m a rotary guy too but for me I would choose stock 1600 or 1jz /2jz swap stock
Great car as a platform. It would be nice to see it built but it has been done on RUclips a lot. Hopefully you are going to do something cool with it. Like a 2AR-FE with 2AR-FXE high compression pistons and rods on ITB's. Honoring the original with a modern twist.

I had full interior and body parts.
Beams motor but make sure it's the rwd motor version and do not convert the awd/fwd 3s
The gen5 3s is your best from Altezza , you would never have to need any bolt ons since it makes 200+ and has dual vvti rather then the single on older models which will give you plenty of grunt under the curve

Would LOVE to see this built on the channel! Throtl would do amazing things with the car. You guys already do a lot of themed builds, especially for F&F. But if you guys started doing other builds, like turning this into Takumi's AE86 from Initial D, would catch a lot of attention! Turn it into a drift machine with the 4AG-E 2.0L... Build it Bunta-Spec! Would make an AMAZING addition to the Throtl Fleet! I know Micky would probably get excited by the idea of building a car like that~ Maybe even do a RHD conversion on the car to make it USDM/JDM? There's so many options! This is just my opinion, but would LOVE to see the garage get their paws on this one! Love the AE86!
